Cassandra's eyes twinkled. She was both heavy and warm. She was feeling very warm as if someone had left the heater on. Her eyes were slightly opened and blurred as she felt groggy. She was in a dimly lit area. "What has happened—"
"No!" she wailed. As the events came back to her, memories flooded her mind like an ocean wave. She is not Anastasia, she saw Aling's dead body, and finally, she knows the true score between her and Anthony.
Whimpering louder and louder, tears began to flood her eyes. Struggling with her heavy body, she began
to panic. She couldn't get up and everything around her seemed to be spinning. Feeling herself about to
heave, she threw herself off the bed with all the force she could.
She dragged herself off the floor by her hands and latched onto the closest thing to her. She turns around to see the window of the room she was in. She looks around the room like a lost child, her eyes adjusted to the light of the moon.
With black sheets, a black couch, and a dark wooden vanity, the bedroom was dark. She then walks out of the room, where she notices Aling's dead body beside her as she confirmed that she was in the basement. She was terrified.
"F*ck, this is all a nightmare," she said to herself again, closing her eyes. "This isn't happening; I need to wake up."
She blinked quickly, expecting to be back in her normal life. But she was out of luck.
She began to panic once more. She walked slowly up the kitchen, looking around. It was completely dark. She exhaled heavily, unable to believe what she was witnessing. When she remembered that she was caught when she tried to escape, she was hit with a reality shock. She had been held captive for more than five years. Stolen from her home due to his amnesia Anthony takes advantage of her conditions. If it weren't for Aling soling, the truth would remain hidden from her.
"I have to get away from him."
She tried to regain her composure by taking small steps backward. Grabbing the wooden vanity, she forced herself to stand, despite her knees shaking and buckling.
Her breath catches as she turns around. Her dark eyelashes were drenched in tears as she looked up. She notices him in the room's obsidian shadows. A scream is trapped in her throat, unable to escape through her mouth.
She tries to turn and run, but heavily muscled arms enclose her waist as she moves her feet and takes a step. Her body lifts above the ground, and then her back bangs against the wall.
His fingers dig into her wrists, sending a stinging pain up her arms. Her eyes are tightly shut.
"Open your eyes, honey," Anthony said quietly.
"I said, Cassandra, open your eyes!" Her head twisted to the side as if she wanted to blend into the wall. "Stop trying to flee from me because I won't let you," he said as his broad chest pressed against every inch of her skin.
He slammed her against the wall once more, causing her to yelp in pain.
"Look at me, honey, and tell me you're not going to fly again?"
She slowly opens them and looks at his face. She can see his eyes, which are dark pools of emotion. Obsession. Lust. Possessiveness. Desire. Love. Dominance.
She smirked and said, "Sorry, but I will do anything to get away from you; I will not let you control my life again!" but her bravery vanished. Being pinned to the wall in his clutches did not help, and she felt only one emotion. Fear.
She started whimpering lowly. She was aware that he could see her slowly convulsing body. She was aware that he was observing everything about her, from the way her chest rose and fell at an alarming rate to the way her pupils dilated now and then, signaling to him that she was confused. Who would want to be in her situation?
Cassandra breathed deeply and stared into her captor's eyes, fazing in and out.
"What do you want from me?" she gulped loudly.
She shivered with fear. Was he planning to murder her? and abandon her body on a deserted island? And the thought ran through her exhausted mind until the beast spoke.
"I only want you, Cassandra," he said softly, moving his face closer to her neck. She sobbed loudly.
She despised the sensation of his hands squeezing her against the wall. She felt like an orphaned bird in a barn, desperate to escape.
"I don't want to be with you, you're a liar! insane! and murderer! you killed Aling Soling!" Cassandra began to struggle against his grip, her swollen arms aching against his tight grip.
"Let me go!!" she screamed, teardrops adorning her tear-streaked face once more.
"You are now my wife and the mother of my children; I rescued you from that accident five years ago; you are the reason I have these scars on my back, and this is exactly what you are going to do to me!"
"You should repay me, Cassandra. You should be thankful to me for saving you and your baby that time! You shouldn't be curious about your past, honey, and Aling soling will be alive until now," he continued. "But you are too eager to escape from me, and I need to kill her because she's already ruining my plan, so don't blame me because it's all because of you!"
His patience was running out. She was slammed against the wall.
"No! It's all because of your insane behavior; I don't want to be with you!" Cassandra kicked Anthony between the legs as hard as she could, pushing him away with her palms.
She did it without blinking, and he felt it.
The dark room was filled with the sound of slapping. Cassandra had smacked Anthony across the face with all her strength.
"You're a killer!" She took her chance and ran around his slightly hunched form, swinging open the room door.
She'd made her first blunder in his house. She bolted.
She got lost down a hallway and into another. She had forgotten about leaving the house. To avoid his wrath, she sprinted full force ahead, taking care not to collide with him after she had raised her hand on him.
