A hand pressed against Edward's shoulder. When he saw Mark, he turned.
"Your mother found out that your wife was shot, and they are on their way now," Mark said.
"I know how you feel about her, and I promise you, Edward, she'll be fine and back in your arms very soon," he said, squeezing his shoulder repeatedly.
The doctor came out as their attention was drawn to him before he could say anything.
"Doctor, how is my wife doing?" Edward inquired.
"She's- uuh..." says Cassidy.

He picked her up and carried her inside after arriving at the house. He walked over to the guest room. "I want to sleep with you," she said softly.
He nodded and entered the room. He placed her gently on the bed. He took off her pants and shirt before taking off his own.
He sat beside her and rested. "Edward?

"I appreciate everything," she said, kissing one of his abs after each word. He couldn't take it any longer, so he begged, "Please..." She gave a small smile. She yanked down his boxers and tossed them to the floor.
