It's already eight o'clock at night. Edward and Akia sat on the sofa, talking and laughing while reading all of her other books.
Cassandra rose. "It's time for your half bath, young lady, and then it's time for bed."
Akia inquired, "Can daddy do it?"
Edward smiled as he stood up. "I'd be delighted; go get your pajamas and I'll be right there."
Edward noticed Cassandra was smiling when he turned around. "I think you should take a shower as well, sweetie," Edward said with a wink.
She shook her head as she looked down at the cream-colored carpet. "I know and I know what you're thinking Edward," Cassandra said, her brow furrowed as she stared at him.
Edward's hand rose and brushed against the side of her facepalm. It was a tender caress that made her feel warm on the inside. They looked up and looked each other in the eyes.
His other hand crept up and lightly touched the opposite side of her face. When he lowered his head and moved in for a kiss, her eyes closed.
However, Akia yelled from upstairs.
"Daddy, are you coming?" Cassandra asked as she backed away. "You should go, she's waiting."
Cassandra stood back, watching from the doorway as he tucked Akia in, realizing how lucky she was to have him, is a perfect father to Akia and a perfect husband-to-be.

She went downstairs and looked out the window, a cold chill passing through her. The rain began to fall heavily, and thunder and lightning began to strike. She backed away, gasping, and collided with Edward. "Oh my God, I'm sorry," she said shakily as she turned around. "I had no idea you were here."
"I had no idea you were scared of storms," he said, seeing the terror in her eyes.
"How did you know? You never stayed long enough to get to know me," she explained.
"I know, and that was my mistake in the past; I'm here now, and we're getting married soon; I'll make you and Akia happy as always," he said, as he walked closer to her and kissed her.
"Wait," she said as Edward attempted to deepen their kiss, "what about Akia? Is she already sleeping? "
"Yes, sweetie," Edward said as he backed up, then stretched out on the sofa in only his briefs when another loud thunderclap rang out. The house was dark because the power went out.
He stood up and went upstairs to see Akia, who was fast asleep. The lightning illuminated the corridor. Cassandra was standing outside her door, her chest heaving with fear. When another loud bang rang out, she jumped and shrieked.
He took her in his arms and held her, her heart pounding against his chest. Looking down into her eyes, he felt a desire for her building, so he drew back and prepared to leave. He rushed back over to her after looking back and seeing her standing there with her arms crossed, looking so sexy in her sheer nightgown.
He leaned up against the wall and kissed her passionately. Cassandra's arms were wrapped around him as she returned his kiss.
His lips moved down her neck as his hand went up under her nightgown and between her legs.
Cassandra moaned, arching her neck, feeling his warm mouth leave soft kisses all over her. The burning desire between her thighs began to throb. "Oh f*ck, Edward," she moaned, addressing him.
He kissed her shoulders while pulling the straps of her nightgown down and letting the gown fall to the floor. Picking her up, he carried her into the bedroom and laid her down, quickly removing his briefs.
He felt himself losing control as he climbed to the top, his lips covering every inch of her body.
She squirmed frantically on the bed and cried out. He then moved up and took her breasts in his mouth, hardening them as he sucked and licked them.
As she ran her fingers through Edward's hair, Cassandra called out to him.
When she opened her eyes and touched his face, he lifted himself in his hands and looked down at her.
"Oh, Edward, I-"
He kissed her in the middle of her sentence, his hand guiding himself inside her.
They then lay face to face. He liked the way her hand felt on his chest; it was so warm and soft. They fell asleep quickly after the thunder and lightning stopped. There was nothing but rain to be heard.
He appeared to have just fallen asleep when he felt someone shake him. When he opened his eyes, Cassandra was leaning over him, the sheet held up to conceal her body.
"Wake up, Edward," she pleaded.
He smiled as he pushed her back into bed. "Are you ready for another round?" he smiled.
"You need to get up now because you have a business trip later."
"Oh, f*ck! I almost forgot it," he exclaimed as he quickly stood up and dashed downstairs.

After dressing, Cassandra went downstairs and found Edward and Akia cooking breakfast.
"Hi mommy, daddy's making pancakes," she said, a big smile on her face.
"Yes, I can see that. It smells good" saying as she looked at Edward.
He saw her looking but turned his back on her, dishing out the food.
"I didn't know you could cook," she said to Edward.
"Well, there's a lot about me you don't know, especially in bed," he whispered as he winked at her, and Cassandra flushed, "I'll be leaving for my business trip as soon as I finish eating."
Akia burst into tears. "I don't want you to go, daddy."
"Come here, Akia," he says, motioning her over and placing her on his lap. "No, honey, we discussed this. I have to go. It's just a business trip, honey. Daddy will be home in three days. Don't worry, I'll call you every night, and I want you to be a good girl for mommy, okay? " Edward said as Akia nodded.
When it was time for Edward to leave, Cassandra felt her tears well up as she witnessed the two's tearful scene.
When Edward got into the car and waved goodbye, Akia clung to Cassandra.
As the car drove away, he locked his gaze on Cassandra. "F*ck, it's just a business trip, but I feel like I'll be gone for a month," Edward thought to himself.

Cassandra attempted to cheer up Akia by offering to take her out for chicken nuggets. But that was all she wanted to do.
Akia continues to draw in her room. Cassandra needed to do something, but everything was done for her, right down to folding and stacking the towels. "I already miss him," she said quietly. Even though Edward had only been gone for a few hours, she missed him and knew she would miss him in her bed.
That night, true to his word, he called Akia and spoke to her for over an hour before speaking briefly to her.
She sat with a glass of wine after Akia had fallen asleep. Her mind wandered to Edward. It wasn't even nine o'clock yet, and she despised the prospect of going to bed. A tear rolled down her cheek as she realized how cold and lonely life would be without him.
