Edgar's P.O.V
One week.
One freaking week of torture!
One week, it has been one week and yet I haven't been able to find her anywhere, and it's making me nuts. So many work has been postponed because of my stay here in Japan trying to find her, and yet I have no clue where she is, it's like she just disappears.
I tried contacting my men in France, and they have gone to her old home, they even observed the Moreau resident for me, and they reported that she is nowhere to be found.
This is insane.
I sit on the hotel couch, with a bottle of champagne on my hand, and Nikolai is looking at me as he shakes his head constantly once in a while. Of course, we have been together for so long, and he know very well that I only act like this whenever something is troubling my mind.
"Edgar, we have been searching for her for a week now, and she can't be found anywhere, don't you think it is time to finally let her go?"
"Shut up, Nikolai." I say as I take a gulp of my glass? Really, I know deep down inside that he is right, but I prefer to act like a bratty boy right now and this is all because of her.
Women are scary.
"We are going back tomorrow." He speaks as he begins checking the suit we brought here.
"Who decided that?"
"All of us."
"I didn't agree to that"
"Edgar, don't be a kid, man, we have to go back because we have a whole load of work to be done back there, it's not all about her, you know, please think about the rest of us as well, you are our leader and you are responsible of your men, so now grow up and snap out of it."
He tries to catch his breath because he just spoke those words in one breath, of course, he has to realize his position, and shouldn't say anymore than that, while I remain silence, trying to not pick a fight with him.
"Do you want some water? You seem to need a good amount of it, or do you prefer matcha tea?"
"Whatever." I say as I put down the bottle on the table and make my way to the bed. Right now, my chest is full of so many different feelings. I am hurt, tired, sad, but worse, empty.
Isn't it funny how you never truly realize how important someone is in your life until you lose them?
I need her so badly and yet I realize it way too late.
As I am contemplating my foolish self, there is a knock on the door, and I am too annoyed right now (as if I am not annoyed since the beginning) to open the door, so Nikolai answers it for me, and when he opens the door, there is a sound of a few footsteps entering the room, and I sit myself straight from the bed to see that a few men from Mr. Yama's clan are here.
What are they doing here?
They bow down in greeting to me and I nod my head in return.
"What is your intention here?" I ask straight forwardly, because I have no time to spare for unnecessary matter. Our deal here is pretty much done and the only reason I'm staying is already known to them.
"We have some good news and bad news to tell you."
I lift my eyebrow and tells Nikolai to close the door.
"What may it be?"
"Which one do you want to hear first, the good or the bad?"
"Tell me the good news."
"We have received a report of the whereabouts of the woman you are seeking for."
My eyes widen and I jump to stand on the floor, I take a closer step to them and I am so eager right now.
"And where is she?"
"Well, here is the bad news." The men stare at each other as they exchange an uncertain look, as if they are about to say something foul.
"She is in the Rinkou Resident, the resident of one of Japan's wealthiest family and they are the descendant of a yakuza family as well, a direct acquaintance to our boss, one of our men was having a small meeting there, and he recognized the figure while he was there, and based on his report, she was in a good condition, but he didn't dare to speak a word regarding her identity toward the young heir"
"So?"
"Well, apparently, they are not very friendly when it comes to outsider, and we are afraid that something might-"
"Tell me where the place is."
The men exchange looks to each other again, before nodding.
"Very well, but please keep in mind that we are not involved in anything that may happen."
"Of course."

They are preparing cars for us to go there, all of my men that were brought here are coming along because I have the feeling that it won't be as easy as talking and asking her back.
I don't know what kind of person this Rinkou heir is like but whoever he is, he better treats my woman right or I will chop his head off. Yeah, he better be.
The guns and other weapons are ready and even though we are trying to approach them with civil intention, my experience has taught me that when dealing with these kind of people, no matter how respectable they are, gun is a must, and I would prefer to call it a self-defense machine for moments like this.
Heaven knows I am not afraid in the slightest of using violence, especially to get her back.
After what feels like forever. We arrive at what they call the Rinkou resident, and judging by its appearance, whoever owns this place must be filthy rich, but of course, I do have the same amount of wealth, so it doesn't really impress me.
All of us get out from the car and there are a few guards outside who have been looking at us in a very cautious manner. In fact, to get inside this place in the first place is already a lucky thing. Because this place is guarded like hell, and fortunately Mr. Yama was kind enough to have some of his men coming along to be our voice, or else we wouldn't be able to step inside this place.
One of his men approach the guard and they are having a very serious conversation in Japanese which I do not understand, but the men are exchanging cautious gaze to each other
I look at my men to signal them to always be very cautious. They already know if there is a sign of attack, we would immediately pull out our gun to attack back on them.
Because this isn't a game, and I am not risking their lives for the sake of my own selfishness.
They finally come to an agreement and we were let into the building, and when we get in, there aren't a lot of people except a few guards here and there which seems normal for a mafia resident, some of the men from the outside give them a signal regarding our visit.
"It would be great if we can have one of the man to fetch Mr Rinkou himself." one of Mr Yama's man tells me, but I shake my head.
"No, I will meet him myself."
I speak and I begin exploring around the place, and I don't care if it is considered rude to just do this, but I don't really care because i'm not even trying to be polite.
"Mr. Rinkou is currently on his bedroom, wouldn't you think it will be better to ask a maid to call him out?"
The same man speaks again for the second time and it's almost making me lose my temper but Nikolai gives me a calming glare, where he basically tells me to keep my temper all to myself.
Believe me, it's really hard.
We walk toward his bedroom, and I don't even bother to knock when I slam the door open like an intruder.
But the sight in front of me makes me lose all the sanity inside.
I see Phoebe and another man kissing.
