Phoebe's P.O.V
"Edgar?" I slowly pull away from Yuuto and open up my mouth to speak.
Edgar Romanov, the great mafia of Russia, whom I have escaped from, is standing in front of me right now, with his men behind him, and a widen eyes that turns into rage within seconds, causing fear to surface inside of me.
I look at his face and all I can see is anger. This moment is one when I know that I am totally screwed.
I am so dead.
With his speed, he half runs our way and punch Yuuto, as he pushes him and thanks to the height difference, Yuuto is smashed down into the floor, causing a loud sound echoing all over, and it doesn't take long for the men at his house to pull out their gun and ready to shoot at any time, but Edgar's men do the same thing as well.
But at this situation, they are totally outnumbered and trying to take the risk will be the action of a fool.
"You bastard! Who the hell do you think you are!?" Yuuto tries to stand up and face Edgar, but Edgar doesn't speak a word as he tries to land another punch, but this time his punch is avoided by Yuuto and he punches him back on the chest, which cause a slight pressure on him.
"Stop!" I try to come between them, which is a dumb thing to be done for they are like two wild dogs having a fight in nature.
The guns are ready to be triggered all over. I have to do this or else there will be a bloodshed in this room, and the impact of that is international damage between two powerful mafias, and it won't be good for anyone,
But the worst of all reasoning, is the fact that it will be one of my worst nightmare.
I run toward them but what I didn't expect is the brutal punch that immediately hits my face.
Pain begins to spread over my cheek, as I begin losing my balance and end up falling to the floor, and this has caused the fight between them to stop, as they both immediately recognize what they have been doing with clear mind and begin approaching me.
"Phoebe!" Edgar and Yuuto both speak at the same time as they kneel down to check my condition.
By the pain on my cheek and how it's feeling, I think I must have a pretty large bruise near my lips and on the bottom part of my cheek.
It's painful it almost makes me cry, and I don't really cry that much unless it's something that hurts a lot.
"I'm so sorry..." Edgar moves his fingers around my cheek, and I can see from his expression that he deeply regrets landing that punch. I know he didn't mean for it to end up on my cheek but still, I couldn't just let those two fights to death, could I?
"You bastard! You hurt her!" Yuuto moves his leg and kicks Edgar right on the stomach.
"No, Yuuto... no more fighting... please." I say as I hold in the pain.
I don't like this, I really don't.
"Izumi, go get some ice pack." Yuuto speaks and this is when I realize that she has been in the room the whole time. She puts down her gun and begin telling one of the maid to grab some ice pack.
"Phoebe, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I... it was an accident."
He approaches me again, ignoring the death glare sent by Yuuto and tries to touch me, but I flinch when his fingers gently caress my slightly swollen cheek.
It almost breaks my heart and humor me at the same time, how a man like him could apologize to a runaway hostage like me.
"I just want to go home." Tears start spilling from my eyes and it's so embarrassing to cry in front of these people which half of them don't even have a heart, but still, I can't help but to let it all out.
"I'm sorry, but I won't allow that, Phoebe." Edgar speaks as he slowly holds himself together and approach me.
"You know you can't, don't you? I would die if you do that."
"Why me, Edgar?"
"I don't know, I don't think I have the answer for that question, but you know Phoebe, you can't help who you are falling for, and in my case, you are the one for me."
I can hear some of his men whispering something on the back.
"I can't believe our leader say that, I think he is possessed." Viktor says in almost a teasing manner. I guess this guy just doesn't know how to act with the situation.
This is no time to be joking.
"You, are you?"
Edgar looks at Yuuto in a challenging manner, as if he is showing off his pride toward him, regarding his feelings.
"Yes, I love her, and that was the reason why I punched you, because you kissed MY WOMAN."
He emphasizes the word "my woman" and it gives a warm feeling inside my chest. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but my stupid heart decides to skip a beat at those words.
"I am taking her back with me." Edgar says as he slowly picks me up in bridal style.
I want to say something to defense myself but before I can, Yuuto speaks in my place,
"Are you crazy? She doesn't want to go, you are forcing her-"
"Shut up!" Edgar replies and he brings me out from the room, followed by the rest of his men, I turn to look at Yuuto and he looks kind of hurt, I murmur a little 'I'm sorry' and turns my attention back to Edgar.
Of course, when I look around me, everyone is on defensive mode, but Yuuto has given command for them to not attack which is very considerate of him even though he had the right to do so.
"I'm taking you back to my place and that is final, and don't you dare run away again or I have to do it the hard way, princess."
God, please have mercy on me.
