I swallowed nervously, glancing at Aria as she nodded at me with a small smile. Straightening myself I gestured for the guard to lead the way. I don't know but part of me seems happy receiving the king's call while the other part seems nervous and uncomfortable.
Sparing Aria one last look, I turned around and walked out of the place with the guard.

Ryan's pov:
I kept pacing around my room in anger and frustration, I can't believe that my mother could call me because of this!
She annoys the shit out of me, but I forced myself to keep my cool. If not for the fact that she is my mother, I could have snapped her head without a second thought.
Nobody tamper's with what belongs to me or talks Ill of my mate and goes scot-free. She is mine and I know that if I could gain her trust and love. She will give us time without a second thought, I just need some time that's all.
I let out a frustrated growl, I just sent the guard to go and call her for me. I needed to calm my anger and she is the only one that has the power to do that.
"Bang! Bang……!!" I heard a knock at the door.
Dusting out invisible dust from my body, I adjusted myself before saying in a hushed voice "Come in……"
The doorknob twisted sideways, pushing it back a bit. I watched as Ashley walked in, my thesaurus. She had a nervous look which caused my heart to tighten at the sight of it. I thought that she could have gotten used to me but I lied because she is damn nervous.
"Close the door…." I wanted the word to come out more authoritative but it rolls out more like a whisper, I swallowed at my own words. The way that she always makes me react in her presence still confuses me.
Strutting from the bed toward her in a slow stride, I noticed that every step that I took caused her breath to quicken with her heart accelerating at after rate.
I stepped forward and gently grabbed her chin to lift her face. I looked up to notice the same mirth in her eyes that I was bearing until now.
"My thesaurus! Why are you so nervous around me? By now you are supposed to be relaxed around me,"
"I don't……. Understand what you are talking about," She quickly lowered her head in fear as I watched as the words spilled out of her audacious lips on their own.
Slowly lifting her chin, an ephemeral smile curved up her lips, or maybe I was just imagining things because she still has the same look on her face, nervous and fearful.
I felt her suddenly hold back her breath as I brought my face closer to hers.
"Then I have no other choice than to punish you," I said with my eyes twinkling mischievously. My breath fans her whole face, and I noticed how her gaze flickered to my parted lips.
Amusement flashes through my face, shimmering my vision. I suppressed my laugh as I watched how hard she was trying to control herself.
Bending a bit almost to her left ear, I whispered "And the way I punished people is way too cruel and brutal, my thesaurus,"
She jerked up suddenly at my words but holding her by her shoulder, I held her in a place. Her eyes flickered with shock, I was trying to mess a little with her without knowing that I was already getting aroused by her every damn move.
"Stop messing around, Ryan," Ethan grumbled.
"A little fun won't hurt you know," I teased back.
"Just claim our mate now and stop playing around," he complained.
"Shhh!!" I hushed him.
"I want to be inside mate! And have her bearing our mark on her savory neck," his words come out more husky causing me to growl in pleasure.

" Gosh!" I cursed at the disturbing sound that he is illuminating, snapping my eyes open. I shoved him at the back of my head and had him blocked before focusing back on my thesaurus.
"How do you intend to do that," she responded, matching my tone and the intensity in my eyes. I was taken aback by her words before my eyes dazzled sinfully.
"I…… I didn't mean to," she instantly mumbled with a lowered gaze.
"You sure about that," I whispered to her ears, causing a smile to creep into my lips watching how nervous she seemed.
I edged closer to her, intertwining my fingers in her short silky black flowy hair, and pushing some of them away from her face. I barely murmured "My thesaurus….."
She surprisingly stares at me as her face remains unfazed, tracing my hands down her delicate skin. I felt her tremble against my every touch. I rub her skin, pulling her closer, I squeezed her cheek butt so hard.

Ashley flinched with force as my head snapped to the left on its own to address the cause of the sound before my eyes dawned on my beta who had a confused and surprised look on his face.
