Adrian seemed to be a bigger distraction with his little passing of notes with cheesy lines like we are third graders or high schoolers in a high school romance movie.
Though we'll make a great on-screen couple I assure you.
I read the last note he passed and a smile made its way to my face when I read it.

It was followed by a drawing of a wink, kind of cute.
I flash him a look and he winks at me, and it is much, much better than the one he drew on the paper.
I look up and find Mr. Brandon watching us, it's a surprise he hasn't sent us out yet. I wonder why I am testing my luck.
Adrian is a straight A student, he is on the school's team, heck he is the quarterback, he also has a trust fund with millions of dollars and I'm just a poor girl who's failing this same class and the only thing I have of value is my mum's diamond necklace that I'm never selling, then her house that my stepmother miraculously made into hers.
So yeah, total contrasts and I should totally pay attention to what was being taught.
When the class was over, I turn to Adrian with a glare which such soon turned to a blush when I saw him already looking at me.
"You should stop that."
"Stop what?" He tilted his head to the side, making him give off a real sexy look.
It's funny how he doesn`t talk to anyone but he doesn't seem I want to shut up when he's with me. You're damn right I feel special.
"Distracting me in class, I need to pass this course."
"You're quite a distraction yourself Catherine." I shake my head in an attempt to hide my blush.
The way he said my name didn't sound quite right but I didn't let my brain wander there.
He helped me pick my bag up and when I stretch to take it from him he shakes his head no and strapped it over his shoulder.
"You're coming to lunch with me, you do have a habit of running off so I have to make sure you're here."
"You're kidding?" I ask through laughter and he gives me a blank stare showing just how serious he is.
"And since I am sure you're free for the rest of the day, you'll come to my practice yeah? And we'll go to a movie or something later."
"And if I have plans?" I ask just so it won't seem like I readily agreed, which I already have. Mentally, in fact I ran five laps and stopped to do a victory dance in the middle of the field before coming back to reality to give him that reply.
He held my hand and pulled me back so I was chest to chest with him or in this case since he was taller than me chest to neck. He leaned even closer until I could smell his minty breath as he spoke.
“Are you saying I'm not worthy of your time?” it was all I could do not to hyperventilate, swoon and die in that exact sequence.
“I`ll . . .” I had to pause to clear my throat. “ I`ll check in with my PA and see if we can squeeze you in.Although I can`t guarantee anything, I'm a very sought out person you know.” it was a joke but ironically half of these college students actually have PA`s and secretaries but as he grinned before walking away I knew that he got the joke.
I couldn’t wait till I was I the safety of my room so that I could scream out loud. For the mean time I did mental hand pumps in my head. I -mental pump-got-mental pump- a date- mental pump- with Adrian- mental pump.
I brought out my phone and dialed beast and emerald on a group video call and as soon as they both answered I squealed not even caring who was still on the school premises to hear.
“What lottery did you win today Cathy?” Beast joked.
“Forget the Cathy nonsense, please call me Mrs Peterson.” I said in an exaggerated fake dignified voice. The panicked look on their face wasn’t really making sense until I heard his voice from behind me.
“May I have a word with you miss Catherine-”
I yelped in surprise at ,my imposing substitute`s voice.
“Or should I say Mrs Catherine.” he did not look happy. I barely heard the dial tone as Emma and beast hung up subsequently leavening me to deal with him. Those traitors.
I swallowed as I turned to face him almost forgetting to put on my brave face. “You can be invited to the wedding if you`re a good boy.” What? Don’t judge me I said almost. Or was that too audacious to say to my professor? I mean we have met under less than ideal situations. Something twitched in his face and I could swear it was the beginning of a smile. I was just slaying them today wasn’t I? I mentally face palmed he is your professor you do not slay professors unless you want to be slayed out of college.
“Seven am this Saturday and muffins and coffee.” somewhere between my mental argument I comprehended what he was saying and it sounded like he wanted us to have coffee. Together. Is that improper?
“You say Saturday like it isn't tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow, satuday which ever one suits you.”
“Wait what? Seven am? don’t you sleep?”
“Yes. I do. At night. don’t be late.”
“You cant just command and expect me to be there.”
“And why not?” he tilted his heads as if it was a genuine question.
“What if I had other plans.” I folded my arms across my chest and lean back on the wall behind me giving him sassy look.
He jerked me off the wall so fast I would have fallen if he didn’t keep me balanced. He bent until he was face to face with me.
“Cancel them.” There was no room for question or explanation in those two words. And no explanation as to why the simple command made my heart rate and my stomach tighten in all the delicious ways possible. Shit.
