He couldn’t explain what or how he had been feeling these past two weeks.
He couldn’t tell if it was because Daniella finally showed up and took him and everyone who knew deeply about them by surprise or because Audriana has refused to listen to him and continued talking and hanging out with Daniella.
It has been days and it feels like a long time already.
His emotions have just been everywhere since that time. He couldn’t explain how he felt or what made him feel in such ways.
One time he is talking and in his moody self, flirty sometimes but the next moment he is yelling, snapping, throwing tantrums like a child, and that frustrated Audriana in some ways.
Although he was satisfied that she came after him that night and gave him comfort. He was peaceful when she lay on his and he could stroke her hair.
He was falling asleep but she woke him up so they could go to his room and sleep since they were feeling sleepy already.
Audriana was getting irritated by his behavior and didn’t want to get used to him changing his mood like he was changing a baby’s diaper.
If something was actually bothering him, she wanted that he would say it rather than behave in such an annoying manner.
He told her not to hang out with Daniella and she felt angry that he was telling her what to do. He was not obligated to tell her what and what she should do or not do.
Although she did try to ask Daniella about her relations with her husband's family she would just laugh and one day told her they were friends for a long time till she left.
She didn’t believe her but didn’t want to push in more on the topic so she would just try to wave it away and change the topic.
Sofia had told her to be careful around Daniella and she should be careful what she tell her.
… “Why are you telling me to be careful of her? What is going on? Dimitri is really mad that I hang out with her, his mum told me to just be careful like you are telling me now, even my mum told me to be careful”
She threw her hands up in the air in frustration that she was in the dark here. Everyone has been telling her to be careful and what is she being careful about? Daniella? What was about her that she needs to be careful about?
She was confused, if only they could tell her why she should be careful of her and if Dimitri could tell her why he doesn’t want her hanging out with Daniella.
When she asked him if there was something more than what it seemed to be, he would go stiff and silent just looking at her and making her look like she was doing something bad by seeking answers.
“What is going on Sofia?” she asked her friend hoping to get something from her.
“He hasn’t told you yet?” she asked.
“Told me what? What hasn’t he told me?” she asked standing to go meet the pregnant woman who was sitting on the kitchen counter.
“I really wish I can tell you”
“Yes, you can Sof, tell me” she persuaded.
“No, I can't, he has to be the one to tell you. It would be best if he told you instead” she told her.
“This is exactly what mum Patricia said to me too. I tried asking Daniella and sh-” she sighed and moved away from her and began walking to the living room
“Did she tell you anything?” she heard the alarm in her voice and turned around to see Sofia walk towards her with a frown on her face.
“What hap-”
“Did she tell you anything?” she interrupted her and she shook her head ‘no’.
“No, she just told me they were friends. What did it matter if she told me anything else?” Sofia just let out a breath of relief and walked away from her.
“Is there something else?” she followed her to the kitchen where Sofia took out a box of chocolate.
Audriana grabbed it from her hold and glared at the pouting woman.
“I will tell my man that you are bullying me” she crossed her arms.
“Tell him whatever and just answer me. Is there anything else? She looked at her in the eyes and Sofia looked away and groaned.
“Look at me Sof, see” she showed her the chocolate she snatched from her and opened it the took one and smelled.
“I will let you have max five if you tell me”
Sofia looked like she was salivating over it and looked at her friend like she was in thought then started looking at her both hands like she was weighing something.
She was muttering ‘Chocolate, her happiness’ then shook her head again and looked at Audriana.
“I love you so much Audriana and would tell you now” Audriana smiled “But I won't, Dimitri needs to be the one to tell you instead and I know deep inside here” she pointed at her chest.
“You want Dimitri to be the one to tell you, you just need clues so that when he tells you, it wouldn't hurt as much as you think it would,” Sofia told her and she groaned again then went away from her and took the chocolate with her.
“I don’t get the chocolate?”
“No” Audriana yelled.
“You are a bully” she pouted and went to sit beside her friend.
Audriana stuck her tongue out on her and rested her head on Sofia’s shoulder.
“I love you girl,” she told Audriana and stroked her hair.
“I am still not giving it to you”
“Dang it” …
So she wasn’t going to let him tell her what to do and would keep talking to Daniella whether he was comfortable with her or not.
And not only did Dimitri’s mood seem sour, but he also notice some weird things happening and it was Audriana who seems to be a victim of most of them.
Like some days after the party, Audriana was coming home from babysitting Sofia and didn’t listen to him again by not taking the car along and even refusing Max from bringing her back or calling a taxi for her and going out the street.
While she was crossing the road a car nearly ran her over but this time she was quick to be alerted and moved away from the road to avoid any fatality but came home with a fast-beating heart and a shaken body.
He wanted to be angry at her and scream at her but he just held himself so as not to add to her condition.
