“Hi” Philp greets Audriana just as she opens her apartment door.
His red hair was gelled back to prevent it from falling on his face, he had his usual black-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose, he decided not to wear contacts like he used to. He is wearing a pink dress shirt that had a few of the top buttons opened, it hugged his muscular arm well and he tucked it in a pair of dark blue jeans trouser and black leather sneakers.
He was wearing a bracelet he got from a dollar shop the other day, and he is wearing the most important thing. His smile sometimes makes her feel shy and giddy.
She was wearing a hot pink satin bodycon mini dress with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo heels. She curled the ends of her golden-brown hair and put it in a high slick ponytail with little tendrils at the front.
“Hi Philip,” she said and moved a bit to let him into her home.
“Thank you,” he said and walked in as he looked around the apartment "You look good and you got a nice place" he compliments.
He was holding a bunch of red roses and handed it over to her, she collected it and smelled it.
"Thank you, and this smells good," she said.
"So do you," he said too quickly before realizing what he just said.
Audriana just gave him a weird look and put the flowers in a vase that was on the kitchen counter.
"Okay, let's go," she said, he nods and they both head for the door.
When they got out she locked her door and they went to his car where he opened the passenger seat for her and went around to the driver's seat. He was looking at her when he was inside the car.
"What?" she asked "Do I have something on my face?" she asked and pulled the visor mirror to check her face if something was truly there.
This was her first date and she wants to make sure isn't missing anything.
"No, sorry if my stares are making you uncomfortable, but do you notice something?" he asked.
"Notice? Where?" she asked clueless as to what he is saying.
He just chuckled and points at her dress and his shirt "We are matching" he said.
"Oh yeah, we are, like you knew what I would be wearing," she said and put the visor mirror back to its original position and wore the seatbelt.
He chuckled and started the car.
"Where are we going?" she asked after some time.
"It's a surprise," he said.
"Okay," she said.
It was silence in the car but a comforting silence, but she didn't really like it, not like she wanted him to be all chatty and inquisitive like he is but at least he should ask her something and not let them get to where they are going to in silence.
He knows how inquisitive and chatty he is and he isn't sure she would want him talking and talking and all, he takes a side look at her and sees she is looking out the window and he quickly takes his eyes off her and back to the road when she turns to look at him.
He could feel his hand sweat from how nervous he is feeling at the moment, as in like he finally gets to take his almost a year crush on a date, and frankly he doesn't want to mess it up, he doesn't want her to give him weird looks as she did earlier. He didn't know when it slipped from his mouth that she smelled nice and truly she did smell nice, but 'what the hell dude?' he asked himself.
"Damn" he muttered and hit the steering wheel lightly causing Audriana to look at him again.
Realizing what he did he quickly apologized and continued driving.
"Is everything okay?" she asked, deciding to go first. There is no harm in starting up a conversation.
"Uh...ye-yeah, everything is okay, sorry I am not talking and chatting like always, I am seriously nervous and I don't want to… sorry,” he said and she shook her head.
“Look, Philip, you don’t have to be nervous or anything, I am just an ordinary girl going out on a date to a surprise venue with an amazing guy, please don’t feel you have to be uptight around me, just relax okay? I am as nervous as you are” she said with a light chuckle.
“Okay, okay I will, I just don’t want to mess up, you know,” he said.
“It’s okay,” she told him.
He nods and made a left turn then after driving for a while he parked in front of a large black gate and she looked from her side of the window as to how big and beautifully decorated the gate is, behind the gate is somewhere that looks like a garden.
She was so into admiring the beauty that she didn’t know when he turned off the car engine and got down to walk to her side to open the door.
“Milady,” he said stretching a hand for her to come out, she smiles and gladly accepts his outstretched hand, before coming out of the car and he closed the door and locked it with his key.
“Wow, this is beautiful,” she said and he smiled down at her and offered his arm and she held his arm and he led her to the gate.
"Wait till you see the inside," he said and opened the gate and they entered.
The garden was truly beautiful, it had light decorated on each tree making it look like it was a fairytale, he leads her forward to one part of the garden that had a small table with two chairs facing each other, the table is covered with a white cloth and on top, the table is two plates at both sides with one cabernet and burgundy wine glass beside both plates.
A small flower vase was in the middle and was rounded by three scented candles.
A perfect combination for a very romantic date, he sure has a romantic bone in him.
They walked towards the table and he held out the chair for her and after making sure she was seated well he went to sit in front of her.
"How do you love it?" he asked.
"Like? I love this, and being my first date this..." she gestured to the table and the surroundings "...is my perfect first date, thank you Philip" she said with a wide smile
He sighed and put his hand on his chest "Phew, I am glad you loved it, I was contemplating if you would love it. I am glad I made your first date great"
"I do love it, and thank you," she said and a waiter came and took their order, which impressed her very well.
When the waiter brought their orders and left they talked about many stuff, from childhood to adulthood and anything.
This was the best time of their lives.
