She is beyond shock at what her dad told her last night, she was restless. 'How could that have gone wrong?' she kept questioning herself.
...previous night...
"What about the company?" she asked her Dad.
Kingsley sighed. "Remember the new feature we are working on? For Kindswel's Motors?" he asked.
She nods "Yes I do remember that, what about it?"
"Well, the model we trained for the new car they are about launching got..." he looked at her.
"Got what? Dad?" she was getting really worried now.
"The... when the trained model was programmed to the car it caused some kind of damage, and..."
Audriana's eyes opened wide in shock when her Dad told her about the damages.
"How could that have happened?" she voiced out her thoughts.
"I don't know Princess, I actually don't know," Kingsley said.
"But wasn't the model supposed to be properly trained and assured it won't create security issues of any sort?" she asked.
"Yes dear, it was. But we suspect mismanagement in handling the model or something must have gone wrong during the experiment that none of our engineers could detect on time, those are my best guesses"
Audriana was quiet for a few minutes.
"When did it happen? And how come I was not informed about this?" she asked after some time.
"Well I am out of ideas, for now, although our engineers have started checking what the issue might be"
"When did this happen?"
"Last week" he replied.
"And no one decided to tell me?" she asked with a slightly raised voice.
"Calm down, Audri, you were busy with preparing your students for their exams and I saw happy you were when you heard your foundation has raised the desired amount to buy new laptops and employ more developers to teach and to also ensure the internet is intact. I couldn't take that smile off your face, I just couldn't" he explained.
"Dad, Bernard Tech is our company" she started "We built it together, even though you did most of the work." He chuckled when she said the last part "Still I want to know what is happening with the company, how it is improving, if there is a challenge we can seek a quick solution to, I want to know" she explained. "I don't want to be left out, I do not care how busy I may be. I want to add to the success of Bernand Tech, remember I am a remote worker there? And you know no matter how you keep what's happening from me I will still find out from someone else and it will hurt more because my Dad could not confide in me to tell me the issues our company is facing"
He nods and held her hands that were sitting on the table.
"Okay my Princess"
She sighs and stood up, then went to the window and looked out the window at the scene of the beautiful garden.
The passageway leading from the back door is illuminated by the little garden lights that seem like a guide to the garden at night, the garden lights are been placed amongst the foliage giving the plant an alluring glow thereby adding green and golden hues to your pathway.
There are a few trees and tall shrubs in the garden that had a single adjustable uplighter directly up the trunk line, creating an extraordinary visual effect with strong shadows and stark highlights that made the garden exceptional and cozy.
The garden overall looks well-kept and the view below her seems comforting and gave peace to her troubled heart.
Her Mum is doing a great job already, trimming and watering the flowers and shrubs.
"I can see Mum never miss a day taking care of the garden" she comments.
"You know your Mum," Kingsley says with a smile.
She smiled and turned to her Dad. His eyes are already on her.
Walking up to Kingsley, she squats in front of him and held his hand.
"I am sorry," Kingsley said.
"Dad, don't be we will sort this out okay? I honestly can't think of anything right now. But I will update you soon okay?" Kingsley nods. "Don't overstress yourself okay? I don't want you weak and unhealthy," she kissed his hand "I want both you and Mum healthy and bouncing, can you both do that?" she asked.
Kingsley sighed and nods "I will try"
She stood and gave her Dad a kiss on his cheek, then turned to go to her room. When she was at the door she stooped and turned around.
"Don't tell Mum anything that is happening yet, I don't want what happened to happen again, please" she said.
"Sure Princess" he smiled.
She nods and exits his study.

She was thinking about what was discussed between her and her dad that she didn't realize Philip was talking to her. He had to snap his finger in front of her face many times before she came back from her trance.
She looked at him, trying to figure what he was saying. 'How did he get in?' she asked herself.
"Well I was knocking and you didn't answer" he answered, she never realized she voiced out her thought.
"Sorry Philip, I didn't catch what you were saying," she said whilst arranging her table.
She has never been this distracted, what her Dad told her yesterday has been bothering her since last night. She could hardly sleep well last night, she kept tossing and turning on the bed. Sofia had to wake up with a very hard glare directed towards Audriana.
Audriana apologized because she knows how offended Sofia gets when her sleep gets interrupted.

"Hello? Are you here?" Philip said shaping his fingers close to her ear.
She twitched and blinked many times.
"What is the matter?" he asked seeing how troubled she looked.
"No--nothing, it's nothing"
"You've been zoned out since I entered your office up till now, are you sure you're fine?" he asked again.
"Yes I am sure" she gave him a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
Nodding he says "Okay, I was asking if we're still up for Friday evening"
"Uh... yeah, yeah sure we are" she smiled at him.
"Okay, I just wanted to confirm," he said.
"Okay, so I believe you got a class to go to," she said.
"Yeah, I do, I wil... bye," he said after some awkward few seconds then turned to leave.
She just shakes her head and continues packing up, she is quite confused as to what next step to take. She has a half-day at the university today so she is going to Bernard Tech to talk with some of the engineers.
