Waking up, Alex woke up full of excitement. On this particular day, he felt so energetic, that just after waking up he had had to tone down his excitement with a few press-ups. After that, he put on his workout clothes and decided to go for a run as he worked the tension and nerves from his system. He would be spending most of the afternoon with grace and he did not know what to do.
If he was honest with himself, he had never desired anyone else so extremely it had caught him off guard. Every waking moment and sleeping, moment his mind was on her. imagining her graceful way of conduct, and the shock of pregnancy, and everything that made her grace. He loved it all.
Coming back, he passed by a coffee shop where he got his coffee and some muffins. Chewing his breakfast with gusto, he walked back to his house. He had to look for a way to occupy himself before that time. He did not want to appear too eager to have her there and he also did not want to put her under any unnecessary pressure. The girl had her own demons. It intrigued him how much he wanted to know her. behind every façade that she had put up, what made her tick.
Time passed really slow for him that day and by the time grace came to his place, he had run out of patience with everything. Seeing her looking fresh and beautiful, calmed his sprayed nerves and he couldn’t have been gladder he had come up with this silly idea and she had gone along with it. Settling everything she had bought on the kitchen counter, she followed him back to the sitting room where they sat and made small talk as she rests for a while.
Afterward, she took an apron and a café and set to work. Alex sat next to her in the kitchen even after being shooed away. Pretending to be useful, he asked grace to direct him to help in any way she saw fit. They worked in companionable silence for a period of nearly one and a half hours, each enjoying their company. They had had a short food fight where they ended up with Alex pressing her against the wall. The spell was broken when grace moved out of the encasing of his hands.
With a forced cheer, grace asked Alex to help the table so that they could eat the food properly. The whole afternoon was spent joyously. They talked of the plans they had about work. What she planned on doing after giving birth and Alex was spellbound by her witty and intelligent responses. in as much as he had reminded semi-erect throughout the whole time, he couldn’t nitpick anything from the day.
After a sumptuous meal, they had moved to the balcony and just had a good time talking. Each knowing each other better. Talking of their dreams and plans and as time went on, he felt as though they had always known each other forever despite only having known each other for a short while.
By the time the night came to a call, grace was sure she wanted to have sex with Alex. As they had sat at his place having a good time, she had felt infinitely aware of every move he had made.
