Struggling to keep a giggle within, she chocked on her saliva and had to tear up. In all honesty, maybe if he did have his face completely shaved, he could be made up to actually look beautiful, but could the scrunches of his beard be still visible. Straightening her back, she looked at him, as they went on to engage in Ann enjoyable conversation. After the first hesitation, they had moved to safer ground and talking about her studies and conservation actually brought her wholly into the conversation.
She had just been laughing out loudly when they were greeted by an older couple. The man had an arresting face dressed in baggy khaki shorts, a colorful shirt. His wife on the other hand was in a chic dress, coming to stop just above her knees. Removing her sunhat, she occupied one of the seats while kissing Alex and her on both their cheeks. She watched Alex commune with them amicably, the couple looking like they were more his parents and friends. grace saw the affectionate look of both as they heralded toward the main purpose of the meeting.
As they started off, they all ordered food and she ended up ordering some salad for starters and then she would have some steak, deep fried and afterwards for her desert, Alex suggested a carrot cake. The meeting started off, and grace could see how important this was to them. From the guest list, all of whom she noted, they went on to the venue, it would be held in their hotel for they apparently had one of the largest halls. They went on to hammer the finer details like how they would raise the money.
Alex actually surprised her by suggesting that this year instead of just boring fundraising, they would instead parade some of the workers from the hotel. What would happen was that the hotel would train them all how to make the hotels specialty and, on that day, people would bid to either go on a date with the people from there, or the person selected would go and cook from their house. The involved parties would of course be out of bounds for the guests involved. The idea actually proved to be interesting.
After arranging everything and grace making sure that everything was well recorded, they requested for the food, which was celebrated rather than just being eaten. The place was beautiful and the company, even better. The carrot cake was a blast, though at that point she had been so full her stomach felt stretched. After that, Alex was a gentleman and eventually drove her off to see where the company houses were located. The place was a beautiful plot, on which stood two penthouses side by side totaling into four. The houses only had one floor up and the place was actually serene.
Getting inside one of the penthouses, she was surprised to find it very spacious and fully furnished with kitchen utensils. The inside was painted a cool cream, that brought the room to light on switching on the lights. The sitting room was well fitted with a set of couches and the couch could actually be transformed into a bed. Going on, Alex took her to a tour, the kitchen was spacious, the sinks made of granite. Just above the sinks were cabinets and opening them, there were several pots and pans. Opposite was a refrigerator which was currently empty, and then there had been the electric cooker. Everything here was simply perfect.
Going on, the moved to the bedroom. The bed was large, the windows also large covered in light blue curtains. There was a bed light and what looked to be shelves, which grace guessed would be for storage of books. The place was simply paleaceous and the only thing that she could think of was what the hell. She was totally blown away. She could foresee herself living here with her baby, sharing a bed. She could now probably afford good baby toys. Turning with tears in her eyes, lost in the moment, she flung herself at Alex and just cried.
He had been watching grace talk as she inspected the house. Every emotion that flirted against her face intrigued him. Oh, he had seen every one of them, from shock to shock, bewildered and then excitement which had now ended up with a teary grace in his arms. He did not know how they had gone from touring the house to this emotional moment. Although he had been caught unawares, he could not help but close his arms around her, rubbing her back while trying to soothe her. In all honesty, Alex felt at a loss, he did not how to deal with a crying woman.
Past the crying, Alex could feel her very supple curves, remembering how attentive she had been during their meeting. Content to be at the background, but capturing every important detail. How as they had sat in that hotel she had relaxed, laughing as they talked. She was a very interesting person, now he knew she had a best friend whom she was staying with called anna. The sun passing through the window to light her hair, setting it ablaze, like black coals set on fire. She looked beautiful beyond words.
As he now held her, he felt when her cries turned to hiccups and then to deep quick breaths as he caressed her back. He also felt her soft tremor, releasing a gasp, lifting her head to look at her, he found her eyes shut in embarrassment, lips parted. Smiling, he kissed her forehead and hugged her until she had calmed down. After that incident, the rest of the house tour had been without incidences and he later dropped her at her current house.
