were just a few meters away from the pack when an unplanned attack happened. The car came to a stop immediately. This wasn't planned for at all.
Raphael being the Alpha was always prepared for a fight. Melissa stared at him only to see his jaw tighten. He was mad, really mad that they dare to stop an Alpha like him.
He was grinding on his teeth as if trying to break them. Raphael stared at her and said " Stay in the car"
He left no room for any argument whatsoever. He got out of the car looking angry. Melissa swallowed what she was about to tell him. She also wants to help. He can't do this on his own, she thought to herself.
She uses that moment to stare at the werewolf planning to attack them. They all look familiar and then it dawned on her that they were from Ronald's pack. This we're Ronald's men. This was not hard to miss.
She became angry all of a sudden. First, he took her parents, and now he sent some of his warriors to them. Here she thought they have caught Ronald. Could this be that he escaped?
Melissa chews on her nail. She has no time to cry. She needs to save her parents. They are the only thing she thinks of at the moment. She needs them here with her.

Raphael clenched his hands. He was ready to shred all of them to pieces. They are nothing to him. A dozen of them can't bring him down in battle. He is the Alpha and they need to be thought a lesson for crossing their limit. He has been so lenient with the thing but now he would show them no mercy.
From their smell, he knew they were Ronald's warriors. He must be somewhere around with Melissa's parents, he thought to himself.
One of the werewolves attacked first and just right in time, Raphael broke his neck. It snapped and the body fell to the ground.
The other were a little bit scared of the attack but they all put on a strong face. They came in threes this time and Raphael kept on killing them one after the other. He was strong than they could think of.
More werewolves arrived and it turned into a battlefield with just Raphael to defend himself.
Melissa watched from inside the car. She was scared of what might happen to Raphael, he was alone. She wants to help badly but his word kept coming to her. He told her to stay in the car.
They were too much on him. Watching the whole thing even made it worse for her so she did what her mind wanted her to do. Melissa got down. She looks beyond pissed.
She saw a werewolf hiding behind Raphael, ready to insert a stake at his back. That only riled her up. She went for the wolf first and disconnect his hand from his body. She was in a full-fighting mood.
Her powers came back to her suddenly. Her eyes were red, so red that it looks like a drop of blood. She began to get their attention and that was how the real fight begin.
Raphael wasn't able to say anything. He allowed her to fight just as she wanted to.
They fought all the werewolves with no one breathing among them. Raphael and Melissa had their back against each other both taking their stance just in case of a fresh attack.
They were breathing heavily. They are only two against hundreds of werewolves. Not even an ordinary wolf can fight all these werewolves on the floor.
" I told you to stay in the car," he said
She cock her head " I needed to help "
" But you could risk your li...
" What a nice day to finally meet you " a voice cut Raphael off.
Melissa turns in the direction only to be met by Ronald and some other werewolves. That's not what angers her the most. What angers her was, that her parent her held hostage with them. They have a knife placed around their neck.
She was scared for their life. Her heart beat rapidly as it would come off her chest. If looks could kill, Roland would be 6ft buried underground right now.
" How dare you " Raphael gritted out " Let them go"
Ronald laughed like a sadist " You think I'm stupid to let them go just because you said it? Then you must be dreaming. Not everyone bows down for you Raphael. "He said " You were not meant for the throne. The throne belongs to my family. Your family tool that away from my father "
Melissa's ears perked up. She never knew they knew each other so well.
" If father was alive he would have been the king of the world"
" Glad you corrected yourself, " Raphael said " If he was alive...but wait. He isn't and you know why?" Raphael was taunting him. He was doing it so well too " I killed him with my hand"
Ronald growled out angrily " I hate you so much!"
" The feeling is mutual. You and your father were the same after all. Your mother, who was my aunt did all she could to protect your family but your father killed her. He killed that good woman just because she wasn't in support of his treacherous act. He was a devil that only got what he deserve which was death!"
Melissa was confused. She doesn't understand why Raphael was talking without any remorse for his uncle. There are things she needs to know. This whole thing only makes her head hurt the more.
" I hate you!"
Raphael shrugged " it's mutual".
" This day, I'm going to avenge my father's death on your mate's parent. Let's see how you'll console her while I kill the only people she has on earth," he said sickeningly.
" Don't you dare!" She snapped. Her claws were coming out. She wants a release" Take your hands off them if you don't want to be the next person to die!"
