Melissa groaned a little. The wound is healing but the pain still hurts a lot. She sat upright because she was tired of sleeping the whole day. Surprisingly, Raphael was a little calm with her. He hasn't said a word to her for a few hours. She was sure he was tired of her already.
She was a fighter and he knew that too. Melissa smile a little, she was glad he has some conscience deep inside of him. The day she saw the hateful look in his eyes when she told him that she was the enemy, She could vividly see the hate in those gorgeous eyes of his.
His hands were clenched on his side as he was in deep thought He was confused with himself and she could see that. He was having a battle with his inner mind. He wants to hurt her badly and at the same time, he didn't want that to happen to her. The mate pull was working. His wolf won't allow him to hurt her.
" I'm sorry," she said. Melissa owes him that apology. She did him wrong and knew that he deserved that apology more than she could think.
He raised his head to stare at her " You said what ?" He wasn't at all expecting that.
She stare at him with rolled eyes" Don't ask like you don't know what I just said "
" It's such a surprise that you are apologizing. You always act hot-headed and act like you are always right, he said with folded arms.
She knew it will be hard for him to believe that she was sorry. She let out a sigh " I know I've wronged you a lot. I didn't mean to betray you like that. Ronald kept on blackmailing me to do as he say or he will kill my parents"
She wiped threatening tears. Raphael could see a broken girl fight her battle herself. He wants to know more about her. She seems to have a lot of mystery he wants to unfold.
" Funny enough, I found out that the same parent that brought me up isn't my real parent. It hurt a lot to know that just now. "
Raphael didn't say anything. He wanted her to continue her story without any interruption. The whole finding is new to him. It hurt to know that the ones you thought are your parents aren't even your real parent at all but no one can tell.
" I was dumped by my real parent and my adopted parent took me as theirs. They treated me like theirs which made it even more believable that they were my parent. It's so hard to accept the fact that they didn't give birth to me It hurt a lot"
He knew this was his turn to talk. He needed to say something " But it doesn't matter. They love you just like your parent. It doesn't matter whether they gave birth to you or not. Looking on the brighter side, they love you like their own. "
She smiled a little because he was right. He made her see the bright side of things. She appreciate just the little he said

Melissa felt like hugging him for doing this for her. She appreciates whatever efforts he put to bring justice to her side. All she needs right now is her parents. They are old and need to be resting. Her father was sick. He can't walk or talk at the moment.
She channels her inner strength. She was ready for the battle. She clenched her hands on her lap. Her eyes held so much determination. They seek one thing and that is revenge. She wants revenge on Alpha Ronald, Steven, and the other werewolves that were rude to her. She needs to bring all of them down with all the power in her
Melissa got up. She felt a little stronger now. She knew she was gifted with some odd powers, she knew she was powerful and she believes this was her time to work out her powers and bring down all the people that hurt her badly. They hurt her parent too. Her parent are still hurting
The look on her mom's face when she was taken out of that dungeon says it all. Her mom was scared, she was scared of what they would do to her. What baffles her the more was, that they weren't concerned about their safety but her safety, and then one will call them her fake parent? They are more than her real parent. She doesn't think she needs her real parent. She doesn't care who they are or where they come from. All she knows is that she was happy with the new parent she has.
" Have you thought of finding your real parent ?" He asked
She was caught off guard " I don't need them at all"
" You never can tell. They might have a reason for doing what they did to you"
" No reason would make me forgive them" she snapped
