Jack and I walked to the university wide park where he had packed his car, I followed behind him with smile on my face.
"Eliora?" a very familiar voice called from my side and I slowly turned.
"Nathan..?" I called surprised added with mixed feelings.
Why the hell was he still waiting for me?
"I'll wait in the car" Jack said and I nodded and he leaves to the black SUV car.
"What are you still doing here?" I asked bluntly fringing courage when I knew deep down that I was angry at myself.
"What? We were suppose to meet" Nathan reminded me sadly and I sighed.
"Sorry Nat. I got so caught up in the play" I said.
"Oh, you were at the school art hall?" Nathan asked and I nodded.
"How was rehearsal?" Nathan asked with concerned facial expression.
"It was cool" I reassured him with a warm smile.
"Are you still up for our date?" Nathan asked and as I was about to respond, Jack's voice comes from the car.
"Juliet, Are you coming?" Jack shouted and I turned sideways in confusion.
"Make your choice" Nathan tucked his hand into his jean trouser keeping a puppy face that almost looks like he would cry any minute.
"I.. I" for the first time again, I stammered just to make some sly decision wether to hang out with some Not my type guys or not.
"I'll go with Jack... I'm sorry Nathan but we need to score our script" I said sadly.
"Sure. Have a nice time then" Nathan's lip curl into a small sad smile and I nodded.
"See ya" I ran toward Jack's car and immediately he starts the engine.
"Who was that?" Jack asked as we pulled into the road.
"Someone special" I smiled and he nodded in silence.
Jack took me to Mastro's steakhouse and in minutes, we were sitting on our reserved table.
"Why agriculture?" Jack asked some minute after our orders have been placed on the table.
"I love raising crops and also rear animals" I said with small smile on my face.
"Nice one. So will you be a Vet in future?" Jack asked and I laughed off.
"Of course not" I said.
"Then what?" Jack asked with interest.
"I will love to work in an organization that deals with marketing and exportation of agricultural crops across the world. As an agriculture student, I know the perishable and non perishable crops that will give the organization a good name. So I'll not possibly become a Vet, instead I'll work as a supervisor in a company" I said confidently and Jack didn't stop nodding his head.
"What?" I asked as I drink the red wine from the glass.
"You have such a nice plan... I can't wait to know you more" Jack said.
"Let's eat" I changed the topic nervously.
"Sure" We began eating delicately when a message pop into my phone
'Hey babe, where are you?'
It was from Jennifer and I smiled, It's almost eighteen hours and I haven't heard from her... Did I really felt her absence?
"Hey, are you alright?" Jack asked with the fork at the side of his mouth as he chew gently, I smiled.
"Yes, I'm" I quickly dropped a short reply for Jennifer and focused on my date.
I went back home and saw Jennifer sitting on a plastic chair in our mini terrace, I walked toward her.
"Jenny" I called.
"You're back" Jennifer lift her gaze at me.
"Were you waiting for me?" I asked anxiously.
"Not really" Jennifer shook her head.
"Are you okay?" I asked concerned as she wasn't looking all "hazzy" if that's the word, like herself.
"Babe, I think my hubby is cheating on me" Jennifer spilled sadly and I crossed my arms with that.. I told you look on my face.
"Oh really. Guys will definitely remain scum" I snorted.
"Liora, I don't want to loose him... not now... not forever" Jennifer pleads sadly as tears gradually gather around her eyelids, I walked closer to her.
"Hey, he can't cheat on you. He still loves you" I assured her patting her back and she sniffles.
"How do you know?" Jennifer shot me a suspicious look and I raised my hand to the air.
"I'm innocent. I don't even know your man" I rattled out fearfully and she smirked.
"Then how do you know?" Jennifer asked.
"Give me your phone" I said and Jennifer passed her iphone to me and I began typing on her message box.
Thunder strikes slightly on the air and the sky gradually turn dark, it looks like rain will be falling tonight as I could feel the cool breeze.
"Let me see" Jennifer snatched her phone from me and I smirked.
'Hey babe, Let's meet tomorrow. I miss you'
Jennifer read the text I had sent to her boyfriend loudly and lifted her gaze at me.
"Why?" Jennifer asked anxiously but before I could speak, her phone beeps and I smiled.
"He agreed! He agreed!" Jennifer squeals in excitement as she embraced me tightly that I couldn't breathe.
"Thank you Liora" I gently pulled her away from myself and nod my head walking into my room, she continued chirping in excitement and her face were all red.
I shook my head, Can love make someone to be so crazy? At the thought of it, I entered into my room.
The next morning, I didn't get the chance to apply my make up fully, I wore a huge hugo boss polo, a denim jean trouser and hurried to campus. There will be test by 9:00am, a very important test and I was running late upon I woke up around 6:30am.
"Hey, you're here" my desk mate said as I hastily prepared my table and sat down.
I began going through my notes and textbook before the lecturer will arrive, I didn't read last night...
'Hey, you look cute'
A text message from Nathan pops into my phone and I smiled and slide the phone into my bag then I turned toward Nathan's seat and saw him already staring at me, we exchanged emotional warm smile.
"Lecturer is here" the course representative announced and I sighed.
"Gosh! I didn't score anything" I complained annoyingly as I return my books back into my bag.
The lecturer started sharing the test paper, as he walked in every roll he announced his rules and warned of malpractice, after sharing the paper to everyone he walked back to the platform and sat on his seat then we began.
I stared at the test paper in front of me unsure of what next to do, I didn't read and I'm so clueless on how to start.
My desk mate was smirking and smiling brightly and I concluded that she had read alot and will definitely score an A.
I began reading the questions, if I'm not mistaken I read the questions almost hundred times.
"What should I write?" I muttered to myself sadly.
"Well, I'm an agricultural student wether I read or not I should get at least a glimpse idea of what some of these theories mean" I encouraged myself and began writing.
"Thirty minutes remaining" the lecturer announced loudly and slight murmur comes from the student, I didn't care as I continued writing as if I knew what I was doing..you know that feelings, right?
We started passing our papers and my desk mate didn't stop smiling, I ignored her and open my bag to check on my notes... I wanted to check if I have any hope of getting the least D.
"I scored everything.... My A is in for sure" my desk mate claimed boastfully and I nodded.
"What about you? I notice you started at dine minute, did you write anything?" she asked with worried expression.
If she was worried, why didn't she give me a hint? Fuck her, I smiled.
"It was so easy for me and I decided to start at my desired time" I lied confidently and she nodded.
"You're a guru, I hope you don't fail" with that she took her bag from the table and leaves the hall, I exhaled deeply.
"Babe" Nathan called from behind and I sadly turned to him.
"Are you okay?" He asked sadly.
"I guess I'm" I smiled.
"The lecturer said he will return our script tomorrow morning" Nathan informed me.
"So fast?" I exclaimed in astonishment.
Other lecturer take weeks to mark their scripts, why so fast? I wondered.
"Exam is approaching, remember?" Nathan reminded and I nodded.
I need to start reading, I can't afford to carry any course over... I haven't started reading and exam... goodness lord.
I and Nathan walked out of the hall discussing lovingly.
"What's your plan tonight?" Nathan asked.
"Nothing" I paused.
"Maybe go home and read" I added nervously.
"Hey, how about we go to the karaoke?" Nathan suggested and I smirked.
"I can't Nat. I need to read" I politely rejected his offer.
"You can't say no" Nathan plants a soft peg on my cheek and I remained stunned nodding my head like a coward.
His peg was more like a poison that makes me stupid... I followed him like an idiot.
Was I two timing? Which of these men do I love? ... But the last time I checked, I'm not in for any love play.
