"I know everything. If you would have been the parents in Shane's life like he needed then we may have never met because he wouldn't have had to be on the open road and need my help. So one thing I will say first is thank you. For if nothing else your shitty ways somehow brought us together."
I squeeze my hands around Samantha's hips lightly, as I smirk.
It is comical to see my parents so speechless for once in their life. They have always been this very uptight and professional looking no matter the events going on.
So for Samantha to call out my mother by the heavy amount of makeup, makes it hard not to bust out laughing. I don't even know what my mother would look like without makeup on.
"Secondly, you place blame on the wrong person and made Shane go through things alone. If you want to place blame then that should be on the enemies that cause things. Not someone who was a victim also. It makes me sick to know that Shane had to heal on his own and go through the pain alone. He never will again now though, because he will always have me and my family." Samantha emphasizes when she talks about her family.
"So the only way I see it all. Is you are both to insecure or need some type of medical help to deal with your grief. It can't be easy to lose a child, but in the entire process you pushed and basically lost both of your children, when one is still very much alive. Shane is the best man I have ever met. I will love, cherish, and do anything he needs of me for the rest of our lives."
I move to stand back up and pressing her body to my chest. Since I have been leaned down to rest my chin lightly on her shoulder, while I held her hips.
"No parents should ever do what you have to your own flesh and blood." Samantha sighs.
All the fur babies jump out from the trailer and surround us. Vixen and Fluffier nuzzle Samantha's legs, while Tanker and Oreo stand on either side of me.
"It was my youngest boy that should be here." Mother sneers.
Samantha shakes in my arms. "I am sorry he parished in the line of duty. Nothing can change that no matter what anyone wishes. You blaming Shane is uncalled for and so heartless of you."
"I done everything I could to find him. There was nothing left I could do and I had looked for him all I could while trying to hold my wounds together with my hands. Don't you think for one second that I didn't get up and try to find my brother. I went until blood loss took over and forced me to pass out." I grit out.
"I am done explaining this to either of you. Not once did you listen to me before when I tried to tell you what I could. Never once did you visit me while I was in recovery and rehabilatation from muscle weakness, by being stuck in a hospital bed for a while. I pulled through on my own and then got Tanker, which lead me to the love of my life too. I have made my family by being with Samantha, my heart is hers. Get the hell out of my sight, you both aren't worthy of an ounce more of our time." I seethe and pull Samantha with me.
When we turn our backs and move to the unit for the last few items. We stop in our tracks when growls come from Tanker and Oreo, both.
My supposed Father had his hand balled up and made one step up towards us. He is frozen in his tracks with his eyes to our dogs.
"Get your mutts." He spits.
"I will not call my babies down when they were protecting us. Neither one of them have moved or bit you. You're at fault for threatening their owners, who they will protect. I suggest you leave now because something you don't know is I figured something may have and I placed my phone just over there. Which is recording everything, so don't even get the idea of trying to say something against my babies. Because you came up in the threatening manner to cause their reaction." Samantha gives a smug look, and picks her phone up on the edge of the trailer. Sure enough it has been video recording.
Tanker and Oreo watch as my supposed father steps backwards and they stop growling. Without another word, my parents left without looking back.
At this moment, I could care less. They came here to try and rub shit in once more and make me feel useless for being alive. My little paws was not having it and stood up for me before I could myself.
"You know little paws is very suiting for you. One thing I have thought recently with them being gone though." I look to her as I put the last box in the trailer.
"What's that?" Her voice is calm as she smiles to me.
"You really are a cougar too." I smirk.
Earning a laugh from her, she jumps in my arms. I kiss her lips.
"No one had stood up for me like that before. You beat me before I even could." I whisper, rubbing a thumb over her cheek.
"I didn't think twice about it and I would do it again. I knew you would do the same if it was my father. Us, women, have to stand up for the ones we love too." She smiles gently at me.
"There is nothing wrong with that." I kiss her forehead.
"It is only fair." She sasses.
I laugh and move to where she is tossed over my shoulder. I am quick to close the trailer doors and pull the lever to where it is closed tight.
Samantha's laughter rings around us. "You got a good ass. You know that?" She takes her small hands and grips my behind through the jeans.
"Come on boys." I make sure all four of our boys are following, although Vixen is more like jumping and dancing wanting nibble on her hair hanging down past my behind.
I open her door and stand back. Tanker and Oreo jump inside, before I set her back on her feet on the first step. Once Fluffier and Vixen are in the truck. I walk to the main office and close down the storage unit, it takes less than five minutes before I am in the truck too.
"Let's go home." Samantha smiles over to me.
"Let's." I smile to her and get the truck ready to take off.
