Sydney Marin Chapter 11

I absolutely have no idea what spell she used, but she whispered some words under her breath and I felt something’s wrong. I felt bad about this situation. Before I can realize what’s happening, Jacen and Noah are knocked out backwards by some invisible power. They hit hard on their back. I can’t even see whether they are in a conscious state because the evening climate totally changing faster. I looked up at the sky to see the fast-moving clouds. I feel like I’m seeing the whole evening in the night sky in just a minute. It’s like seeing a fast forward movie. “What the hell are you doing? Jacen and Noah may have got hurt. Is it training or what?” I let out the words without realizing how this witch bitch reacts to it. “You are going to see soon,” she smirked, walking backwards while keeping her eyes on me. “You raised my temper. Let’s see if you win or die. Take that dagger and do what you are capable of doing.” soon she disappeared from my view completely. I thought she was going to test my talent but why does she leave. I’m out of an idea. “Jacen. Noah,” I screamed, as the dark is the only thing I could see. There’s nobody near me. I am all alone. ‘What’s going to happen next?’ I got the answer once I asked that question. Two enormous eyes are watching me near the bushes and trees. It’s looking wildly at me and stepped forward. I got clear once it’s seven feet away from me. “A minotaur,” I breathed in fear. I heard about its existence. Now it’s in front of me. I don’t even know a single idea of defending myself from this mythical creature. How can a girl like me who was locked in a house for all her life fight this? I started panicking, my heartbeat started rising. Why Jacen and Noah aren’t there to help me yet? Jacen said he will always help me with anything. Why isn’t he here right now? What if Pamela did something bad to her own niece? I think she wants me dead. I’m dead. The minotaur ran towards me as fast as it can. The ground started trembling with his weight. All I thought at that time was about the dagger Pamela mentioned. I need to cross the minotaur to reach the desk. Its growling became louder, and I ran towards the desk and grabbed the dagger. I never touched it, but now I got nothing with me. I’m only good at doing some magic with a small blue sparkle from my hand. How can I handle a giant minotaur? When I crossed it without getting caught in its hand, it got angry by growling louder and came forward to attack me again. I ran towards the side of the tree to lose track of it. I’m afraid of using a dagger for the first time. When it followed me towards the tress, its horn got stuck in the tree’s bark and I got in the middle of the tree and the giant. I acted fast to save my life by trying to stab it right in its heart. But my aim missed my making a big scratch on his legs stronger. It makes a loud noise in pain. Within seconds, it grabbed me with its claw and threw me aside, giving me the worst pain, I ever experienced. Its claw gave a painful scratch by peeling the skin in my arms. I can’t able to bear the pain. Every part of my body hurts from hitting the ground. It came after me again and that’s when I got angry. Not on Pamela right that second, but the monitor. “You are going to pay for this Pamela, but first it’s going to be you,” I muttered to myself by raising my hands, bringing the power from my utmost angry with everyone for everything. I didn’t realize some blue flame left my palm and attacked the minotaur the way I never expected. It almost fell but dodged once again when I tried to use my power. The minotaur leapt on me, giving a claw mark right on the same arm which got injured a minute before. Before it tried to kill me forever, I rolled away from it and ran faster towards something that glittered in the night. I know it’s the dagger. When I almost reached it, it tossed me aside forcefully. That’s it. That’s the moment I stood up with more anger, equal to everyone’s angry in Slateville. I lifted both of my hands and every energy inside me converted to my hands in the form of the greatest power. Blue flames burned brighter on either side of my hands. I felt like the fire was inside me. With all the force I got, I threw the flames on the minotaur. Within a blink of my eye, it burned in blue flames. I can see its pain from its growling sound. At last, I picked the dagger from the ground, moved forward to the minotaur, and stabbed it in its heart. That’s it. Blood splattered over my face. I stumbled but landed on the ground safely, without any damage from the flame. But my whole body is injured for sure. My arm hurts like hell. The sky started turning back to its original state, and the minotaur turned into ashes. I can’t balance I'm standing by myself. “Sydney” I heard two voices coming towards. Two hands caught me before I fell to the ground. “Sydney. Look at me. Oh god,” I heard Jacen’s panicked voice. “I’m fine. Why didn’t you save me? Why did no one come to save me?” was all the questions I asked, even in the desperate state after saving my life all by myself. “That bitch cast a spell and knocked me out. You know I will do anything to save you. I’m not leaving your side. I’m so sorry, Sydney.” he hugged me lightly by not hurting me. I thought that Witch had done something to Jacen and Noah. What I have thought is right. Now he’s worrying to the core. “Your eyes are blue?” Noah asked me in shock. How’re my eyes are blue just like my power? “Never mind, we need to heal your injury,” Noah said and examined my arms. “Why did you do something so horrible?” Jacen shouted at Pamela. Both of them glared at her. “I need to test her. She’s alive. So, what’s the problem?” Pamela acted as nothing wrong happened. But she’s so shocked to the core at my strength. “Say it again.” I lift my hands in pain and a blue light flashed towards her, but she stumbled and managed to stop it with her power. “Please don’t restrain yourself, baby.” Jacen pleaded with me, still holding me. I can see how much he is concerned about me just looking in his eyes. Noah is balancing my other arm. I can’t even stand with their help. I drained all my energy. “You are not our aunt ever again. I’m ashamed to call you like that. You are such a bitch. You will be leaving our home from today onwards. You are not our family.” Noah stood up for me by harshly talking to her. I know she’s the worst person ever. But I never know. These two boys are caring about me so much that they are ready to kick Pamela out of this house. Oh god, I don’t know where this is all going. I got the life sucker witch trainer.
