Aurora glanced at Alpha Jax who looked at her without any hint. This jerk! Aurora cursed within herself. Why can't he keep his people's mouths shut? Oh shit! He can hear her, right?
That's right if he can hear her, then she can talk to him too. She decided to ask him through the mind link.
"How did my mother know?"Aurora asked.
"I should be asking you because my men aren't blabbermouths", he responded.
"Are you calling me a blabbermouth? I haven't seen my mother since yesterday", she replied to him angrily.
"Aurora, are you okay?", Her mother asked when she saw Aurora's angry face. She wonders what made her daughter's face seem angry suddenly.
"Mother, am fine. What did you hear? Nothing happened this morning", Aurora quickly replied. She really doesn't know how to convince her mother.
Her mother drew closer to her and whispered to her hearing"Maya had a dream about you. You were stabbed in the dream. So tell me exactly what happened. Don't be afraid".
Damn! Not her sister's dream! Her mother believes so much in Maya's dream.
She smiled at her mother as she tried to talk to her. It won't be easy but she had to take advantage of what was happening to make an excuse. Maya has always had a special gift of seeing the future or whatever just happened.
She remembered vividly how Maya would wake up in the middle of the night with cries calling out on their father. She told them she dreamt their father was stabbed and shot by some dangerous men.
They all thought she was having a nightmare because she misses their father but unfortunately they had to believe it the hard way. She wasn't even born yet when their father died so she doesn't know him.
Since then their mother has never taken Maya's dreams for granted.
"Mother, you know Maya might be so frightened yesterday that she thought someone might hurt me. It can get her dreams scattered. Look at me. I am fine, mother", Aurora assured her.
Her mother nodded her head", Yes, I guess that might be the reason. I see no injuries, or are you lying to me because you heal quickly? You had better not lie to me, Aurora Patterson".
"Mother! You are just paranoid. I am fine, really. You can ask the servants or anyone around. I haven't left the house since yesterday night. My clothes were delivered here to me. Aren't I right, Jax?", Aurora quickly added, afraid her mother would see through her.
"Mother, it's true, she had never been out since last night. I am very sorry if I made you very worried about her. I was a little confused yesterday and…just couldn't let her go. You could blame me for everything. But I promise she had been very safe here", Alpha Jax added.
After some time, he looked at Aurora's mother before deciding on something. She really missed her daughter by the look on her face so it wouldn't be right if he holds onto her.
She's his mate, he agrees but it wouldn't be right to deprive her of staying with her family. He doesn't want her family to develop hatred for him, especially the little Maya.
"Mother, I will let Aurora go with you today. I will come and pick her up tomorrow. Are you okay with that? I want you to be assured that she is not under any pressure here, right darling?", Alpha Jax said to soothe the woman.
Aurora bit her lips and with a clenched fist, she nodded with a fake smile
"Really? Thank you so much, Alpha", Sarah was beaming with happiness.
"But it's not fair. I am calling you mother already, shouldn't you be calling me son?", Alpha Jax said in a sad tone as he glanced at Aurora with a smirk.
Aurora rolled her eyes so much that it hurt her head. How can someone be this thick-skinned? No wonder he was called the devil. He has a way with people. She threw him a disgusted look.
"Thank you so much son but I will only call you that in private. You are an Alpha to us all", Aurora's mother said, still reeling in happiness.
Beta Rufus looked shocked at the smiling Alpha. What just happened? Is there something he is missing? Why are these two acting weird, especially Alpha Jax?
How come he is addressing his mate's mother affectionately? He looked at their Alpha as if he saw an alien. No one would believe the almighty Alpha would ever be this humble.
If Uncle Max was here, he would have fainted from high blood pressure. Beta Rufus chuckled within himself. Alpha Jax glared at him because he knew exactly what his Beta was thinking.
Alpha Jax walked up to Aurora and held her hand before turning to Aurora's mother.
"Can you give me a few minutes with your daughter? I need to discuss something with her. Make yourself comfortable. Food would be served soon. Shall we darling?", he said as he looked at Aurora.
Aurora smiled sweetly as she went inside with him. She wishes she could just tear off that fake mask from his face. She knew that he was just a green snake under the green grass.
Who knew what he was up to now?

The men dragged the screaming Jasmine out of the van. She was hitting and scratching them but the men did not bulge as they continued dragging her.
"Alpha Jax! You are a bastard! You are a useless scum! You threw me away when you no longer needed me! Screw you and your mate! You will die a horrible death…", Jasmine rained curses as she was taken away.
"Shut up, you wench! You knew you were just useless trash. Don't blame anyone for your misfortune, you keep forcing your miserable self on him when you knew very well you aren't his mate so shut your trash of a mouth", a guard said as he couldn't bear to listen to her trash.
"Shut up, you imbecile! Who do you think you are?"Jasmine spat on the man's face", I am still the Alpha's lover and I don't care about anything you say. You dare not talk to me like that!".
This got the guard so angry that he went up to her and gave her a hard punch on her face.
"You…seem …to .. forget you are just a slut. Nothing more than that, you wench!"The man said as he gave her another punch across her face.
The punch was so hard that she fell to the ground with a bleeding face. No one came to her aid as the men kicked and punched her till she finally fainted.
They picked her up and locked her in the specific cell ordered by the Beta. They remembered he told them to give her the "special treatment" but they should make sure she stays alive.
"Boss, can we have a taste of her?"One of them asked the leader.
These men were not your regular guards. They are mafias owned by Alpha Jax. They are involved in murder, kidnappings, and rapes if ordered.
They accept various assignments but they need to receive permission for this particular mission. According to the news, this chick was once the Alpha's lover. So they have to be careful.
"Don't you dare, if you still value your lives", The leader said as he gave them a warning glare.
The men shivered in fear. They just wanted to try their luck. It seems it wasn't possible. The chick was hot but her mouth was so horrible. They wondered what happened between her and the alpha for her to deserve this treatment.
"Boss, what really happened?"
"I heard she almost killed Alpha Jax mate with a silver bane dagger. His mate was lucky to dodge the attack and it only grazed her flesh. The Alpha was so angry that he ordered her to be locked up in the special cell", one of them explained.
"Why would she be so stupid? She is just beautiful with no brain", another said.
"Yeah, apparently she thought she was going to be Luna just because the alpha had no mate. She must have been shocked and jealous", the leader concluded.
"Yeah. That must be the case", they agreed as they stared at Jasmine in pity.
They wondered if Jasmine and her family would ever live to tell the tale.
Many of them in the park must have just heard people call the Alpha the god of death but they don't know the reason why.
Only the mafias knew the reason. Alpha Jax can be very patient and understanding towards his pack members but in the outside world and the surrounding Pack, he is known as a devil.
He is very brutal to his enemies and backstabbers. His unique system of killing is very gruesome. No one lives to tell its tale.
Even if they were given nine lives and guts they would never want to be on Alpha Jax's bad side. That's why they look in pity at those who seem to bring out their inner demons.
It seems Jasmine would be the first amongst his pack members to taste his ruthlessness.
The guards looked at her again and pitied the petite woman. She's too beautiful to end in that way.
