After spending quality time with her mother and friend, Galene decided to return to the castle.
It was already getting late, she bid her mother and friend goodbye and climbed into the carriage.
Throughout her stay, her father never came back and she was happy about it, she doesn't want to see him thereby ruining her mood.
The carriage speed on, she looked out of the window admiring the trees and grasses spending behind them.
She was happy she was allowed to visit her mother and even happier to see her best friend.
What Diana and her mother said crossed her mind and she sighed.
She couldn't believe they would think the master she knew would ever find her worthy to be his wife.
That his attitude towards her became a little kind does not mean he wants to take her as a wife.
She doesn't even like him and becoming his wife is something nearly impossible.
The carriage came to a stop and she looked out of the window to see they had gotten to the castle and it was already nightfall.
She climbed out of the carriage which was held open by one of the guards.
"Why are they treating me like I'm some kind of princess," she thought staring at the guards who just bowed to her.
She shook her head and began walking into the castle. Getting to the hallway and about to open their room door, she was stopped by Robin.
"I see you are back" Robin muttered smiling widely.
Galene pinned her gaze on him wondering what was making him smile so wide that all his teeth were showing.
"Yes, I am sorry we arrived late, I didn't leave my house on time" she apologized thinking the master sent him.
"Well welcome back but I am afraid you cannot go into your room because the master sent for you," Robin said and she nodded.
She knew the Master would not spare her, how dare she spend so much time when he told her to return in the evening before dust but here she was, returning in the night.
She followed Robin to the master's chambers, her heart beating hard in her chest. She doesn't know what to expect in his room.
"You can go in," Robin said when they got to the master's chamber, the door was opened for her and she walked in with shaky legs.
Getting into the room and seeing the master standing by the window and smoking from his pipe, as usual, made her skin hot.
"Come here" she heard his husky voice which shook her system in fright.
She began walking to him in a little step trying to control her erratic breathing so he wouldn't notice her fear.
She got to him and stood behind his back, her head pinned on the floor as she prayed to be spared.
Just because the master treated her nicely and allowed her to see her mother doesn't mean she should disobey his instructions and return late.
She was having the best time of her life and lost count of the time. Before she knew what was going on, it was already late evening.
"Why did you return late?" Master Damien's voice echoed around the room.
She swallowed nothing and stared up at his back "I'm sorry my Lord, I did not know when it got so late because I was enjoying my time with my mother and friend" she replied truthfully.
"How is she" she heard him mumble and her eyes widened. "My mother is fine, she was grateful for the gifts you sent to her and she sent her regards.
"Thank you my Lord for giving my mother food" Galene bowed in gratefulness.
"Rise, come with me," he said and she nodded, before following him to the terrace.
"Have dinner with me" he muttered and she sighed in relief.
She had been worrying herself and thinking she would be punished without Knowing the master wanted her to eat with him.
She sat down on the seat he pointed and stared down at the different dishes which were displayed on the large Royal table.
"Why was the master doing this or could what her mother said to be true? Of course not, I do not think it was true.
Maybe he was being kind for all the things he had done to me" she concluded and waved off the thought.
"Eat as much as you want and do not be tensed, relax for I would not hurt you" master Damien muttered on seeing how tensed and scared she was.
Galene's mind relaxed on his word and she began scooping different dishes into her plate and munching down happily.
She totally forgot the master was in her presence and lost herself to the delicacy.
"Mmm!!! She moaned licking her fingers and enjoying the food.
She would never have thought she could ever taste royal foods and worst made possible by the beastmaster.
It seems he has repented or maybe tried to because the man in her presence does not act like the master Damien she knew.
Master Damien stare at the damsel in front of her wondering if he should tell her.
He suddenly lost words on what to say.
He couldn't believe he could be brought down and tongue-tied by a little fellow sitting in front of him.
He sighed and continued watching her finish all the food on the table.
He never knew she was such a food dragon and he finds her beautiful eating in such matter.
"What is wrong with me" he muttered lowly to himself, taking his gaze off her and focusing on his food.
Soon, they finish eating and Robin came to clear the plate.
He was surprised to see Galene sitting in the master's most cherished chair licking her hands.
"It seems she also ate with him," he thought staring at her.
"What are you looking at if I may ask?" Master Damien's voice thundered and Robin shook.
Was that jealousy in his master's tone? How come and could it be that the almighty Master Damien had fallen in love with his slave" he thought still standing rooted on the spot.
"Robin!!! Do you perhaps want to lose your head?" Master Damien thundered and Robin shook his head scampering off the room with the plates in his hands.
He would think about that later, he wouldn't want to lose his head to his jealous master and now, it seems he wasn't allowed to stare at her any longer.
"Tell me why your father sold you?" He asked staring at her. Her countenance changed as she remembered how her father sold her off because he no longer have money to gamble.
She began telling him everything she and her mother went through in the hands of her father and for the first time, master felt affected by her cry.
"Wipe your tears, I would teach your father a lesson soon" he uttered and she nodded.
"Please, you can punish him but do not kill him because no matter what, he is still my father and I would turn fatherless if he dies" she muttered and master Damien stared at her in surprise.
"Why would anyone still have mercy on a man who sold her off and treated her like she was nothing just because she wasn't a male child.
"As you wish," he said and she nodded with a little smile.
She doesn't like her father and wished he could be punished dearly but she doesn't have the heart to wish him death.
She doesn't give life and wouldn't want to take one. She also does not understand why the Master wants to punish her father when he was the one who bought her.
He also treated her badly but she guessed it was because he bought her with his money so whatever he does to her was because he owned her.
Galene stood up after the little conversation with the master ready to return to her room since the dinner was already over.
"Is there something else I would do for you master? If not then I would like to go rest in my quarter" she muttered hoping he would let her go without requesting something else.
"You can go, the dinner is over" Master Damien replied after taking minutes to stare at her.
Galene bowed and began walking out of the room, she got to the door and was about to open it when master Damien's voice stopped her.
"Sleep here with me Galene" she heard and her eyes snapped to him. He was standing by his bed, his gaze on the ground.
"Please!" he said again and Galene heard a bang in her head.
"What is he talking about if I am hearing well then he meant I should spend the night with him?" Galene thought, her mouth agape.
It's one thing to tell her to stay and satisfy him but another thing to plead with her to spend the night with him.
Master Damien? Beg her? Was she dreaming or is this actually real because she hadn't heard it anywhere that the almighty Master Damien ever said the word please but here he was saying it to her.
Maybe the delicious food she ate was messing around with her.
She couldn't have heard him say please so she would never let that mess with her brain.
She walked back to him and he gestured to the bathroom telling her to go take her bath.
She nodded and walked into the bathroom where she stripped off her robe and got into the hot spring bath.
She walked out of the bath with her body dripping wet. She managed to dry off the water from her body and wore her robe before going back to the room.
She did not see the master in the room when she returned to the room so she decided to lay down.
She was on the verge of sleeping when she started feeling hands roaming over her body.
The hand grabbed her breast, squeezing it and her eyes snapped open.
Remembering she was in the master's room she knew he was the one touching her.
"My Lord" she muttered. "I want you Galene" he replied and she sighed shutting her mouth. She knew there was nothing she could do about it.
She was a little surprised he was telling her he wanted her.
