Galene got to Master Damien's chamber and after the guards finished searching her at his doorpost, they finally allowed her in.
She stepped into the room, her eyes pinned to the floor and not daring to look up, her fingers were vibrating and she felt so hot inside.
She doesn't know the kind of punishment he would give her this time that he caught her red-handed saying bad things about him and wishing him death.
"That face, raise it" he commanded and she swallowed before gently raising her head up to peep at him then quickly brought it back down.
"Turn around" he uttered and her eyes widened. "Why was he telling her to turn around? Does he want to strangle her from the back?" She kept wondering but turned anyways.
"Strip and lay on the bed" she heard next and her heart flew out of her chest. He can't probably be telling her to strip when she hasn't heal from her injuries.
"Master but I am still hurt from last time" she yelled out, tears streaming down her eyes, she doesn't understand why he wouldn't call on any other girl since she came into the castle.
"Are you disobeying me woman?" He barked but she kept quiet not daring to move an inch.
She would never allow him touch her this time around, not when her womanhood still hurts from his previous torment. He could melt out any other punishment to her but this she would not agree to.
"Am sorry Master but I would not take it this time for I'm still unheal from the last torture and not in a good shape for this, please you can get another maiden to satisfy you" Galene muttered with all the courage she could gather not wanting to appear weak before him.
Master Damien stare at the adamant lady who stood her ground stubbornly not adhering to his instructions.
He stare on in amusement and surprised, no one has dare talked back at him not to talk of disobeying him but this lady stood in front of him with no atom of fear telling him she would not satisfy him.
He stare at her swallowing back from strangling her, he so much wanted to do so but strangely, he could not bring himself to step forward.
"Leave" he yelled out, his voice echoing round the corners of the chambers startling Galene who was busy praying to her ancestors to spare her from the master's wrath.
"Yes Master" she hastily bowed and ran out of the chambers as fast as her legs could carry her. She ran non-stop all through the hallway till she got to their room and shut the door tightly behind her breathing in air.
"What have I gotten myself into, I should have just allowed him have his way with me but he would have ignored more and that I cannot take" she said trying hard to fight back her tears.
"Why did you run in Galene? What have you committed this time around?" Luciana spat drawing others attention to the tear-streak lady standing by the door.
"I refused his advances" she muttered sniffing back her tears.
"You refused whose advances Galene?" Mariam asked sitting up from her bed. "The master's" Galene mumbled and the ladies gasped.
"That cannot be true, I don't believe you because no one dares say no to the master and if you did, you won't be alive her telling this lies" Lydia said with an eye roll.
"Now you don't believe her, I thought you all like her and believe whatever bullshit she tells you, why are you not believing her now?" Luciana said staring venomously at Galene.
"I too do not believe that Galene, there can not be a way the master would let you live after talking back at him so tell us why you ran in here and what you did that was pursuing you?" Mariam stated not convinced either.
"But that was what happened, he told me to strip and get onto the bed but I refused him by saying I was still unhealed from the injury of the last time so he asked me to leave" she explained not getting why they wouldn't believe her.
"Shut up your mouth because that is not true. We have been in this castle way longer than you and we know the Master and his ways more better than you so what makes you think he would just tell you to leave when you insulted and then rejected him" Luciana yelled pointing her fingers angrily at Galene.
"Well since no one wants to believe me then I do not see why I should explain anymore, excuse me" she muttered and went straight to her bed ignoring their hateful gazes especially that of Luciana.
She quietly laid down staring out of the window and gazing at the moon. The full moon will be out in few days time and she couldn't wait to behold it's beauty.
Singing in the full moon had been something she had always loved doing as it serve as though she's releasing her emotions straight to the gods and goddesses through a song which she believed gets to them more quicker during the full moon because they all lurk around the moon at that time.
She wished she was still with her mother in her clan, then, during the full moon she would sing along side her mother and they both would dance and her mother would tell tales of her childhood experiences to her which she always looked forward to but now, her father had sold her off and she wouldn't be able to enjoy the full moon as she used to.
She never knew a day would come when she would leave her home to be a slave to a monster who had no heart and conscience.
She couldn't believe he would ask her to strip off her clothes when it has just been two days he released her from the dungeon after he tortured her womanhood and tearing her skin apart.
She shook her head and turned to the other side of the small bed facing the wall then closed her eyes in sleep.
