Rose and Annabel were seated in a room where their noise won't attract the sleeping Mara. Rose was still crying as Annabel tried to calm her down.
"Shhhh, don't cry, okay?." She caressed Rose's hair. What did that fool do to you? Tell me! And I will put him where he belongs."
Annabel ranted like a mother who just witnessed her child being treated wrongly by another.
"Tell me what happened. Please…" she pleaded with Rose as she continued to wipe Rose's tears.
"I confessed my love to him…" she sobbed.
"You confessed your love to him, and what next?"
"He rejected meeeeeeee." She burst into tears.
Annabel saw how heartbroken her friend was. For the fact her friend took a bold step and at the end, she was hurt, that didn't discourage Rose from forgetting about Mr. Evidence.
"What exactly happened?" Annabel asked, curious.
"He took me to one of his buildings and everything was going fine but when he realized that I was a virgin, he suddenly stood up and went inside the restroom and after that, he came out and told me to dress and that we were about to leave."
"And?"
"And I told him I wasn't going anywhere. I told him i always want to be around him, i told him everything i felt and he didn't say a word. He just stood there and watched me like he was a statue… i…
"You what?"
"I got sad and walked away." Rose said.
Annabel was in a confused state, but she just had to say something to make Rose calm down.
"Oh, my poor friend. Maybe he was just surprised how you got such courage to say all of those things, or Maybe he was looking for words but couldn't find any."
Rose looked at Annabel and was trying to process her words. What she said sounded true but she was still worried that her CEO ignored her feelings.
"Wipe your tears, okay? Don't worry, I'm sure he will call you soon. Don't cry anymore."
Annabel was trying her best to calm Rose down, she didn't want the sound of her cry to wake Mara whom she tried her best to put to bed.
"Don't cry again." She wiped her tears.
"You can go and freshen up okay?"
Rose nodded.
Annabel noticed that her dearest Rose was calming down already as she held her hand and led her to the restroom and then walked back to the sitting room to wait for her.
A few moments later, Rose had already finished refreshing up. She walked towards Annabel and Mara and sat with them.
Mara was already awake.
"Hey!, you are back?"
Mara was surprised to see Rose because she was sleeping when Rose arrived.
"Yeah, she came while you were still asleep." Said Annabel.
Annabel had also refused to tell Mara the reason Rose had come home but had decided to tell Rose about Mara's issue, but maybe when Rose was calm enough.
"So how are you doing? And how is your boss?" Mara asked.
"He is fine and I am fine too."
Rose was a bit calm now and that's why Mara didn't notice that she had been crying for sometime now.
The three girls sat as they watched their favourite movie channel but suddenly, there was a ding dong sound. Annabel and Mara wondered where the sound came from but later realized that it was a notification message, coming from Rose's Phone.
Rose looked at her phone screen and saw a message.
"I'm outside, please come out."
She read the message and looked at Annabel. Annabel knew that the message had come from Mr. Evidence but she didn't know the exact thing that was written there. Her eyes were filled with questions.
In the next second, Annabel and Mara saw Rose rush out of her seat and ran towards the window and peeked. She saw Mr. Evidence standing In front of his car, waiting for her. He was alone because earlier, Mike went back to that hotel and drove the car he came with back home.
She peeked at him through the window as she couldn't control her tears from pouring. Mara, seeing Rose's tears, knew that something was wrong somewhere but didn't want to ask. She decided to ask Annabel later.
After she had peeked at him for a long time, she ran downstairs and ordered the security to open the gate, which he did as she ran outside. While Mara and Annabel ran after her.
Rose was now standing in front of Mr. Evidence, she stood and kept looking at him with her wet eyes. She couldn't move, she was just stiff. She was convinced that Mr. Evidence had come so she could pay for the damages she caused his var since she no longer is his caregiver. She was just standing, waiting to hear those words. She saw Mr. Evidence walking closer to her as she tightened her eyes, imagining what that cold and icy man would do to her since she couldn't pay for the damage when suddenly, she felt something warm wrapped around her. She could feel that same feeling she once had when Mr. Evidence touched her, that warm thing that was wrapped around her was familiar! So familiar!
She felt the familiarity of the warm thing wrapped around her when she finally opened her eyes and saw that it was Mr. Evidence who had hugged her passionately.
The next word she heard was "please come back home." He begged As her tears increased.
Meanwhile, The gateman, Mara, Annabel and the few policemen that guilds Annabel's compound stood, watched and enjoyed the scene that was presented before them.
Annabel could now remember her Virgin crush whom she disvirgined. Seeing Mr. Evidence hugging Rose, she suddenly felt emotional and started to have the urge to hug her once-virgin crush.
After the hug, Mr. Evidence wiped Rose's tears as Rose told Annabel and Mara that she would be going back with Her boss and then again, Annabel felt more emotional.
They all stood there as they watched their car accelerate.
