" Is the campaign ready? Father is coming too?"
I asked Daniel, slipping inside my office. I had a great night yesterday. Iris made my whole world burn. After having her fully in my arms, I realized that she was the only thing that I was missing in my life.
Daniel replied with a hum, his eyes curiously scanning me. He mumbled, clearing his throat,
" Well..you seem.. different today... what's the matter?"
I really wanted to salute his wild guesses this time. He was the only person on earth to see through my mind. I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep it from him for a long time. Tugging my tie, I replied straightforwardly,
" You are right! I fucked Iris last time. I am so fucking messed up."
" WHAT!!!!!!"
His reaction almost bled my ears. I rolled my eyes at him before moving to the next files. He stayed speechless for a good while before asserting,
" You...you aren't drunk, are you? Did you... really..oh my god! Are you really not asexual?"
I glared at him to shut his mouth up. He swallowed the rest of his words immediately. I always knew that I wasn't an asexual. It was just something I didn't have to awaken my desire. Daniel asked after calming down a bit, his eyes full of panic,
" What's the situation now? Petra is already here.. What will you tell your father? You know, he isn't easy to handle. Your mother can be convinced but your dad...he will never accept a foreigner as the first lady!"
I was aware of everything. But leaving her wasn't a choice. She became the source of my happiness. Time without her nothing but a torture for me. I responded after giving it a thought,
" It should be okay as long as Petra isn't announced to the public. I am sure that my love story will excite the netizens if I tell them after the election."
Daniel agreed with my decision. He patted me on my shoulders with a smile,
" I am happy for you, buddy! No matter what the situation is.I will always support you."
I returned him a small smile. This battle wasn't going to be easy for me against my father and the whole nation. But I was ready to do it for her. She meant everything to me now.

" LET'S WELCOME OUR FORMER PRESIDENT ON THE STAGE!!"
The crowd applauded crazily. Even though my father had ended his reign long back, he was quite famous among the public. He wished to join the campaign with me. I had no issues with that except the fact that he brought Petra with him. Petra was sitting next to me, her lips didn't stop smiling. I knew that she had been dreaming to become the first lady ever since we were small. Petra was occasionally waving at the public who looked clueless about her identity.
My father went on the stage to recite the public benefits of supporting our team. He sounded absolutely magnificent even in his fifties. His tone of confidence made me proud sometimes. The crowd listened attentively until he paused to look at us,
" Ladies & Gentleman! Let me introduce you to your future first lady, PETRA."
Daniel and I both froze in our positions. On the other hand, Petra stood up gracefully before walking over to my father. It seemed like everything was planned from the beginning. Petra bowed at the public with her finest smile. The media flashed cameras crazily at her. My dad was still smiling at the crowd. In a few minutes, the news was all over the headlines that I had a girl officially although I knew nothing of it.

Standing in the middle of an island never felt so deadly before. There wasn't a single soul around the space. Even when the crazy wind slipped past my body, I shivered horribly. This meeting would have been an excitement for me if it was another time. But today, I failed to have those butterflies in my stomach. It was more like a burden. Badly I wished that he would be gone soon.

The man of my life..the emperor of the underworld..to the same man that I owed my life..
Right after I woke next to Xavier, I got the message that he would be heading to meet me tonight. The reason was unknown but most basically, he came here to check the progress.
It was quite around. I saw no signs of helicopters or ships around. He always had his way to show up like a gangster. In fact, he was the gangster. Another strong wind blew through my body. I began to rub my arms together to wash away the coldness. Before I could think of going back to my apartment, something dashed out of the water with a spurt sound.
I was little taken back by the object that came out of the water. In a blink of an eye, I saw two stored ships, approaching the Island. I let out a snort of annoyance. They actually fucking came with an underwater ship?
I walked close to the edge, staring at the white ship. When it came closer to my view, I spotted a dark silhouette standing at the top. The moonlight highlighted his dark black suit, his golden earring blazing under the moonlight. If I failed to recognize him, the golden earring was no mistake.
He was here for real!
In the past, I used to always wait for his arrival. He never bothered to pay attention to my emotions but today he kept his words. But surprisingly I found no such romantic feeling in my heart even though I should. I belonged to him, to his world which was foreign to Xavier.
The ship stopped right in front of me. I saw Artemis waving at me crazily from his boss's side. I tried to smile but I bet, it seemed fake. Arthur climbed down from the ship, emitting his usual dark aura. Even all of my nerves stood on alert at his presence. He always seemed to possess that controlling aura.
" Hello Princess!!"
Arthur's cold voice echoed in the whole island. I felt the race in my heart. A part of me had never stopped feeling guilty. He looked handsome in that suit. Except for the little short beards on his face, nothing changed in his features.
I replied formally before his face came into view,
" Wolf.."
Artemis's playful voice resonated from his back,
" Aya sista! Why do you look so pale? Didn't you want to meet him?"
I swallowed the lump in my throat, failing to meet Arthur's eyes. In the underworld life, he was known as a wolf. Only a few people knew about his name. Arthur spoke, coming close to me,
" What's wrong with you? Having a bad day?"
I forced my feelings away with a fake smile, muttered weakly,
" I..I mean..I didn't expect you guys to come..I am just nervous that I haven't completed my mission yet."
Arthur let out a dark humorous chuckle. He hummed dramatically, playing with the strands of my hair,
" That's why I am here, darling! I don't want you to be here too long. You should come back home soon."
I licked my lips dry. Ending the mission wasn't so easy. We never left our enemy alive before closing a mission. I muttered nervously, afraid of being exposed,
" What's our next plan then, wolf? The election is coming soon.."
His eyes flipped over to me, stayed hard for a second before whispering slowly,
" Blast! Xavier Gray should be dead, darling. But don't be afraid..For closing the mission, I will accompany you in this city until the end of it."
