"Dude.. let's play bowling tomorrow." Lucas said as he entered my office.
"I can't." I said as I put a file inside my drawer. I looked at Lucas and he gave me why-can't-you look.
"I will go to LA in 2 hours."
"With who?" He asked.
"Why are you so possessive?" I asked him and he laughed.
"It's been a long time since we bowl.. I missed it. Besides tomorrow Crystal is busy so I want to drag my boyfriend out for a date."
"You always look for me when your wife is busy.. I'm hurted."
"Seriously.. with who?" He hissed.
"Tatiana. It's her birthday tomorrow."
"Why do you need to go to LA?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Because.. I have to grant her wish."
"What wish?"
"Wow you do sound like Tatiana.. you ask a lot of questions." I glared at him and he smirked.
"Tatiana here.. Tatiana there.. Tatiana everywhere. Why do I feel like you're cheating on me Ian?"
"Don't make me kill you, Lucas." I looked at him coldly and glared at him big time.
"Don't kill me please.." He said and I sighed.
"So what are you planning to do in LA?" He asked.
"She wanted to go to Disneyland, Universal and seaworld." I said as I got up from my chair to take cold water from my fridge.
"Wow." He said in a speechless tone.
"I know.. but you know it's her birthday." I said.
"I bet you know that you're starting to care for this girl but I want to know what's really inside your head."
"I'm aware of that, you don't need to give me a speech for it. I'm aware that I care about this girl but at the end of the day.. she will hate me and besides.. the divorce paper is ready."
"And she doesn't believe in divorce."
"She will sign it. I will make sure of that." I said and Lucas sighed.
"You know.. you don't have to get divorce."
"We have to and I'm already prepared for that." I said looking at him seriously.
"Deandre, Kamerie is.. a mean person.. I know. Don't you think that Tatiana deserves to know about everything? Maybe she can understand you."
"Lucas.. I'm not only going to take James down.. I will kill him too and you're saying that Tatiana will understand if I kill her father?" I asked him in disbelief.
"So what is your plan?"
"I don't know now but I'm working on it for Tatiana.. at least let me be happy for awhile."
"I don't want you to be happy just for awhile.. I want you to be happy like happy forever happy." He said and I shook my head.
"I will still pick my parents over Tatiana, Lucas. I will hurt her in the end."
"Deandre.. I know this revenge is important to you because he did hurt your family. I get it and I will not stop you for that but at the same time.."
"I know.. you don't need to say it. I know. Please.. let me handle this and later on.. after I divorce.. look out Tatiana for me.. will you?" I looked at him seriously and Lucas nodded. I walked back to my cupboard and took a red file out. I gave it to Lucas.
"What is it?"
"A house under her name, 2 cars under her name.. and 5 million dollars for her. No one can take it except her." I said and he opened the file.
"You're crazy." He turned to me after checking all the files.
"I will put the house I live in now under her name too next week."
"Where will you go?"
"Santorini."
"You're aware that I can tell her right?" He asked.
"I'm aware of that but I guarantee you that she won't ask you about it."
"Why are you so sure?" He raised his eyebrows.
"She will hate me with all her heart.. and soul. Trust me.. I will hurt like no one ever hurt her before." I said.
"Hurting her means hurting yourself. You already like her huh?"
"I do." I admitted right away.. what's the point of declining it anyway.
"Think about it again.. Deandre." He said and I turned my head to my watch. It's 5 already.. I need to go home to pick up Tatiana to go to the airport.
"I have to go.."
"Have fun." He said and I took my phone from the table.
"Go home.." I said and he nodded. I walked out from my office and pressed the lift button. I looked at the ground and thought about what Lucas said earlier.
When the door lift opened, I looked up and found Tatiana inside the lift. She was as shocked as I am.
"I thought.. instead of you picking me up.. I'll just come here."
"Let's go.. I'm done." I said and she nodded. I walked inside the lift and Tatiana naturally linked her arm to mine.
"You know.. I'm kinda excited for tomorrow." She said as I pushed the L button.
"Your birthday."
"Yeah.. my birthday.. disneyland.. you.." She said in a really excited tone. I turned to her and just smiled. We walked out from the lift and walked out to the lobby. The valet chauffer brought my car and he helped Tatiana to put the luggage on the back of the car.
"Can you drive us to the airport?" I asked the chauffeur and he nodded right away. We got inside the car and Tatiana leaned her head to my shoulder.
"How's work?" She asked.
"Good."
"For me.. it was tiring." She said as she yawned.
"Let's go home and cancel the trip."
"No!" She bursted making me shock.
"Don't even think about canceling it!" She hissed.
"Alright woman.. calm down."
"Calm down my ass.. If you dare to cancel the flight.. I will kill you." She glared at me.
"What a savage woman.." I said and she smacked my arm.
"Crazy."
"What?!" She put her fist in front of me.
