CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
Night came, everyone and everything was prepared except for Seokjin who was sitting on the chair—wrecking nervous as the other just casually sat on the seat.
Taehyung, Hoseok, and Seokjin is present except for Jimin who was still nowhere to be found. Hoseok was talking with Taehyung like nothing happened, they can't even remember what happened these past few months while Seokjin was agitated, and keep on trying to loosen his tight tie.
All that happened these past few days was too much, and confusing that Seokjin doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know what excuses he would make whenever Taehyung or Hoseok ask him a questions.
Just like a while ago where Hoseok blurted out about Namjoon, and he made an excuse that the other Duke was doing some mission and that Namjoon should not be mentioned in front of Taehyung in which Hoseok dumbly believed him.
"Are you okay, hyung?" Hoseok asked from beside, and Seokjin snapped his head to see the two was quite worried about him being restless the whole event.
"What—Uh yes, I'm fine." Seokjin replied, repeatedly shaking his head and trying to convince the two that he's okay. "I'm really fine. No need to worry."
The two nodded, eventually just laughed it off and talked again.
The two dukes were seated beside each other while Taehyung was seated beside Hoseok. They were positioned in front of the stage with the maids and butlers at the back, also watching the show. The music came making Seokjin startled and jumped from his seat causing Hoseok to worry even more.
"Are you seriously okay, Hyung?" Hoseok whispered, resting his palm on the elder's thighs while Taehyung has his eyes already fixed on the stage—excited for his beloved to come out.
"I'm fine, Hobi." The elder replied, gulping down his saliva, and Hoseok noticed the elder's odd behaviour but just decided to pay attention to the performance on the stage.
All of them clapped as soon as the dashing girl walks to the stage with the red and white flowing dress, and her hair has a red flower that actually fits the outfit.
"Ha Na." A smile crept on Taehyung's lips, bringing his fingertips on his lips and tugging his bottom lips with his teeth. He watched the beautiful lady in front as she danced with elegance, and passion along with the back up dancers. He never knew that Ha Na could dance like this, and she looked so sexy with that outfit.
Everyone was shocked and gasped at the sudden appearance of their future Queen who was supposed to have escaped the palace three months ago. The reactions caused Seokjin's eyes widened, and his heart leap out of his chest. He took a glimpse behind, glaring at them causing them to cower their heads.
The elder was glad that Taehyung and Hoseok didn't noticed the audiences response.
Seokjin glanced at the young king who was watching 'his beloved' dancing, and at the same time, he didn't risk thinking such thoughts as to avoid the younger from hearing him.
Everyone watched in awe as Hanisha danced on the stage with much sophistication and beauty. The performance was dashing, neat and beautiful. It captivated and fascinated the heart of the audience. Thus, the only difference she has with the real Ha Na was that, she has this aura that really differentiate the two of them.
No—the difference between her and Ha Na was the way Hanisha stood up with confidence and cockiness on that stage.
The way she swirls in a dashing way makes it even more swells everyone's heart. The way she raised her hands with gracefulness, one could say how much effort she put on with that dance. And her soft white feet was moving along with the rhythm of the music. There was no doubt that Taehyung fell in love with the girl before, despite knowing that they aren't soulmates.
When the music was done, she ended up with tugging her flowing white and red silk on her waist, and letting it flow with the wind of the air. Everyone clapped, including Seokjin, and Taehyung was smiling ear to ear before he immediately stood up from his seat.
Seokjin's eyes widened, and abruptly stood up to stop him. Nevertheless, he was too late as the younger already embraced Hanisha in his arms, and her eyes widened in surprise.
Hanisha's eyes landed at Seokjin, looking at him with disapproval and disappointment. She planned not to get closer to Taehyung until she gets the last piece that is important to her.
The last item that will make her officially claim Kim Taehyung as hers.
Of course, Seokjin doesn't know what she was referring to.
Taehyung squeezed her with his arms around her, smelling the scent he missed so much. His eyebrows furrowed in dissatisfaction when no scent lingers in his nose. He was supposed to smell the usual scent of Ha Na since it's the only scent he can smell aside from his. But why can't he smell it?
Nonetheless, he decided to shake it off, thinking that it may be due to the sweat forming on her body that he can't smell her because she's a human after all. But what made him wonder even more was that how come her touch is so nothing similar to the ones he received long ago?
"That viscious and cunning woman. I didn't expect for her to be this way. To pretend herself as Ha Na." The eldest Duke muttered under his breath, being careful not to be heard by Hoseok who was beside him.
Seokjin felt guilty—everything he has done. He felt sorry and remorseful about it. I'm sorry, Taehyung... But I need to repay this debt of mine.
He glanced at Hoseok who was laughing and adoring the sight with Hanisha and Taehyung being a lovely couple. Hoseok-ah...are you happy? Happy being turned to a vampire, and being called a monster?
He looked away, standing up from his position and leaving the event without anyone noticing. If it wasn't for me, Hoseok and everyone wouldn't have suffered like this, right?
FLASHBACK
Seokjin tried to peek a glance by opening his eyes a little bit and that, he witnessed another pack attacked again, leaving the girl leaning on the tree with the silver haired guy whispering.
"I will come back for you." And that, they left Seokjin with the girl dead by his side.
His head jerked towards the human girl beside him when he heard a little whimper coming out from her mouth.
"H-Help me." The girl beside him slightly groaned, trying to reach out for Seokjin. But it was making it even more harder for him when the scent of a blood entered his nose.
As a person that is new to such thing, without being aware that he was slowly turning into a vampire, his nose twitch at the addicting smell that lingers around. It was a strong scent that he couldn't deny being allured by it. His eyes rolled at the back of his head jaw clenched and his fangs showed with his mind completely clouded.
He couldn't see nor know what was happening; everything was blurry and his mind was completely blinded out by the scent in his nasal cavity that captivated him to gain. The next thing that he knew was that he has his fangs deep on the neck of the lady, sucking the red blood from her veins with the lady squirming and screaming underneath him.
With a little pressure on his teeth, the lady yelled out her last scream, gasping for her last breath and releasing a shaky breath before falling to her dark unconsciousness. The last slurp made Seokjin's heart alive for a moment as he pulled away from the lady, savouring the taste that tingled his tongue and wiping off the blood with the back of his hands.
"Hyung...." A familiar voice called in terror and petrified. A lurking scream of horror was heard a few feet away from them causing him to look up to see the brown haired man whom he has known since childhood.
Jung Hoseok.
And once again, his eyes flashed red and his revealed fangs got activate as he lounged towards the male in just a speed of light. He brought his mouth to his neck, being uncontrollable with his actions and sucked him without any mercy left in his dark mind.
He was new to everything, and the presence of the young male wasn't helping at all. The system inside his body desires and needs more blood. He was young and unaware, he didn't know what to do but satisfy the craves of his body.
The next second he was into him sucking his life out, he was pulled away from the clasped he just aimed and was thrown on the ground. Just like that, his mind went completely blacked out.
END OF FLASHBACK
Even after everything that happened, he was tended by Taehyung, and even trained by him. While his best friend, Hoseok, didn't show any hatred towards Seokjin at all but he knew deep inside how much despise the younger created towards him after everything that happened.
Everything was his fault after all.
Though apart of him didn't want to blame himself but blame Hoseok as well for being there because he found out that his hyung and best friend is situated deep in the forest. But hence, it was still his fault.
And the lady he once killed came back alive, leaving him completely flabbergasted.
