CHAPTER SIXTY FIVE
Ha Na unknowingly sighed as she walked towards the figure, back facing her. She cleared her throat causing the other to look at her as he turned around.
"Ha Na?" Yoongi smiled upon seeing the love of his life—still. He couldn't deny that he hopelessly still have romantic feelings towards his first love.
"Yoongi," Ha Na called back to him that made his heart jump out of his chest and beat, oddly fast. "What did you call me for?"
"I just want to talk to you." Ha Na nodded before standing beside him, looking at the mountain view of the area.
Yoongi glanced over his shoulder before turning around as well, come facing the beautiful and awe-standing scenery of the place.
"This is beautiful." She muttered, and the beta's heart flipped again. Why is it that every time she talks, it would make him weak and whipped? She always does this ever since the first time he met her.
Silence then filled the two until both of them started to talk in unison.
"I—" They froze before bursting out into a genuine laughter.
"You first." Ha Na offered which made the other gave her a toothy and gummy smile but bit his lips afterwards.
"I just want to tell you something." Yoongi started, nervously, and Ha Na raised her eyebrows in anticipation.
"No one knows about you and me except for Taehyung." Yoongi muttered, and Ha Na's heart dropped.
"T-Taehyung knows?" Ha Na gasped, eyes widened as her stomach twisted in nervousness, and Yoongi nodded in response.
"I'm sorry," Yoongi cowered down, and the human inhaled sharply as she closed her eyes tightly before looking back at him.
"I'm not going to be mad." The pregnant woman said, reassuringly.
"I-It's just that—" The beta stammered, gulping down his saliva before slumping down, releasing a sigh. "Please don't be mad at Taehyung too."
Hesitantly, she nodded, and Yoongi breathed in. "B-Back then, Taehyung attacked me."
"W-What?"
"Taehyung told me to stay away from you, and he wanted you."
"H-He did?" Her eyes suddenly becomes teary and glossy hence, the beta noticed it right away.
"Don't take it like that!" Yoongi quickly defended, not wanting the human to get the wrong idea. Of course, he wanted to tell her the truth, but sometimes, lying can be a good thing to protect someone especially someone whom you cared a lot.
"He did attack me because he wanted you but not that much." He lied about the 'not much' part as Taehyung severely attacked him to the point of death back then. "He didn't kill me. In fact, he let me live."
"He let that happen? W-Why?" Her voice cracked.
"It's because he loves you, and I understand that." And because of that, I felt like I wouldn't be enough for you. Yoongi sadly thought, not knowing that his words caused a trigger inside Ha Na, and her hormones were raging to the point of anger.
"So you just gave up on me like that?" Ha Na spits, feeling her heart break at the thought of Yoongi leaving her to other man.
She never knew that her ex-lover was someone who would give her away to others easily but at the same time she was happy. Because of that, she met Taehyung. She gritted her teeth, and rubbing the base of her stomach as she tried to calm herself down for the sake of the fetus inside her. She didn't want the child to be conflicted with her own emotions.
"Ha —"
"Don't answer that." She snapped, bitterly. "But do you know that Elisse knows about us? How did she know?"
Yoongi's eyes were wavering before looking away. "She knew about us hiding our relationship even way before...though I wasn't planning on telling her."
He finally looked at her but his eyes soon landed at her bumped that she kept on rubbing the whole time.
"D-Do you know?" Yoongi changed the topic and stared at her visible stomach before meeting her brown eyes.
"I know." She pursed her lips as she looked down. "Jungkook told me, and Elisse felt it."
"Does Taehyung knows?" Yoongi blurted out.
"He doesn't," She shook her head. "But I will tell him sooner."
The eerie and deafening silence of the area floated out in the atmosphere once again but their eyes connected at each other making it more awkward.
"Are you really going back to Taehyung?" He suddenly asked, bitterly but in a soft way, making sure that he won't offend her, and Ha Na nodded without any hesitation at all.
The beta cracked a dejected smile. "You gotta be careful though. The physicians here said that you're at risk of bleeding since the fetus has the vampire blood —a king's offspring at that."
"Really?" He nodded at her question.
"Hopefully, you will give birth to the child in four more months."
"What? F-Four more months?" She squeaked in surprise. "B-But I thought —"
"You aren't a vampire, Ha Na." Yoongi deadpanned. "You are a human, and the baby being a half breed makes it even hard for you to deliver it."
"What do you mean? I thought I will carry the baby for only 7 months?"
"You're a human and you will carry the baby for 9 months despite it being a breed." Yoongi shrugged his shoulders. "It goes the same with other races. I thought you knew about it since you read some vampire facts before."
When a human gets pregnant, she will bare the child for 9 months despite being a half one. When a wolf gets pregnant, he or she will bare the child for 8 months —aside from Kiana's child that was born with incomplete months but managed to be alive still.
When a vampire gets pregnant, she will bare the child for only 7 months, and that's what Ha Na thought of the months she will have to bare the child. Thinking about it seems tiring already, how much more for four more months?
"That goes that way?"
"Eventually, yes." He bluntly said. "It would make it harder for you since you'll carry it for nine months, and since the baby is a sucking creature, expect for more bleeding."
"Don't call my child that," She frowned but let it go.
"Sorry." He apologised.
"So that's why I've been bleeding a lot during the span of months." She muttered, grasping her stomach even more.
"Don't worry. Aunt Caroline was silently giving you a blood transfusions whenever you lost consciousness so that you won't be harmed." Yoongi added, biting his lips as the human just stayed quiet again.
"Knowing you, I know you wouldn't tell Taehyung about the baby, right?"
She pressed her lips together, before facing the scenery of the mountain once again. "Yes."
"You have to be careful then especially with your blood" Yoongi informed, biting his tongue as tears are stinging in his eyes.
The view that he was seeing looked absolutely beautiful —even the side of her features made him breathless and weak. It was effortlessly breathtaking when she was just looking at the scenery while he admired her.
"T-Taehyung might smell it." He closed his eyes, and facing the mountain scene again.
"What am I going to do about it?" Ha Na glanced to her side.
"Just give me a call, and I will be there." He loved the girl that his heart clenched in pain at the thought of her leaving with another man.
Just a little more conversation, and a little after that too, she left him once again. She left, never knowing what really happened to Yoongi back then. She left without knowing that Yoongi was left to have no choice but stay quiet the whole time because he didn't want others to know. She left without knowing that Yoongi cried for days and hurt the pack's members just to go to the palace to find her. Gladly, the pack members were still oblivious as to who he was talking about. She left without knowing his real intention, and he left way back then —not because he wanted to but he needed to.
She never knew how Yoongi's heart shattered into a million pieces just by watching her from far away because it was enough for him already.
I didn't give up on you.
A tear rolled down his cheeks as he choked a sob. "And I never stopped loving you."
And he will always love her despite meeting his mate soon.
