CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR
Ha Na giggled seeing the child in her arms crunched his nose and eyebrows as it released a purr of satisfaction when she touched their noses together. The baby unconsciously tugged its lips out causing Ha Na to even laugh more, before rocking the baby slightly back to sleep.
Thus, someone out there, who was watching the whole scene, watched in satisfaction and had his heart flattered in delight. Taehyung saw them. He saw how adorable his mate looked with the child in her arms, and wondered how would it feel to have his own child be carried by his mate.
These past few days, he has been thinking what would it feel like to be a father? The father of his mate’s child? What would he do if he becomes a father? Such thoughts invaded his mind, and he can't wait for Ha Na to carry his offspring.
Walking towards the two, he leaned in causing Ha Na to shiver at the hot air hitting her silky hair.
"That's a cute child there." Taehyung muttered, admiring the beautiful baby in Ha Na's arms before he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"He is." Ha Na smiled, nodding and eyes still fixed on the baby as she caressed the little's cheeks. "He is born early and got out only 7 months and days. Basically, wolves should carry their child for 8 months and the baby here isn't fully completed yet."
"His mother is after all an omega, right? Besides, the child have a strong aura." He responded, and Ha Na nodded in agreement.
"He lost her mother at an early age— even got born before his time." Ha Na said, lips falters into a sorrowful one, feeling the pain on the child's part if the child will find out that he doesn't have a mother.
Taehyung frowned as he leaned his chin on her shoulders, swaying the three of them. "You know," he paused, sighing before stopping his movements and closing his eyes. "Namjoon hyung really wants to care for his child."
Pursing her lips, Ha Na remained silent for a while as she thinks of the right word to tell him. She gulped. "But—Jungkook wouldn't allow it, and Namjoon couldn't do anything despite being the father."
Taehyung leaned away, unwrapping his arms as he faced her. "I feel helpless."
"Why?" She gripped the baby, cooing as it squirmed in her arms before slowly looking up at Taehyung's disheartened expression.
"It's because I couldn't help Namjoon hyung with his case. If I do, it will be war for both races again, and I can't do it anymore."
Ha Na blinked, knowing how her mate's words seemed to be true in this situation because there's no way that Jungkook would allow the child to even get far away from him, especially if he has grown fond towards the child of his former mate.
"Ha Na..." The King trailed off as he cupped her cheeks causing Ha Na to be flustered, and suddenly blushed despite being officially together for almost two weeks now.
"If I do that, I will lose you." He muttered, shivering at the thought of Ha Na leaving him before pressing his lips against her forehead. He pulled away, hands travelled towards her shoulders. "I don't want to lose you."
He heavily sighed, going behind her as he embraced the woman again and snuggling his face on the crook of her neck. "Not again."
"You won't lose me, Tae." Ha Na said reassuringly, leaning to the side where Taehyung leaned in.
"If it were me, in Namjoon hyung's situation, " Taehyung bit his lips. "I don't know what to do either."
"Why not?"
"It's hard to choose between the people and my own mate." He replied without any hesitation. "However, If it means turning my back against the world to save my mate and my child, I would gladly do so."
Chuckling darkly, he said. "If I were in Jungkook's case too, I would go insane if I find you carrying something, I wouldn't hesitate to kill the man because we haven't done it."
Ha Na froze, and he knew about it.
He just wanted to see his mate's reaction, and waited for her to say anything about it. How come he knew? Let's just say that there was one time when they fell asleep together, and the sounds of heartbeats was bothering Taehyung.
At first, he didn't mind it, thinking it was his mate's heartbeat but then the noises were making him more annoyed than he thought and decided to check it. Turned out the his own mate is pregnant without them doing it together. It honestly broke his heart that another man has touched her beside Jungkook.
He highly don't suspect Jungkook as the child's father knowing how the Alpha already have his mate. He wondered something odd too. How come that she is pregnant if she was in the palace the entire month, months ago? As far as he could remember, the palace was tightly locked and the Dukes wouldn't betray him like that— besides Namjoon even though Taehyung doesn't remember him.
Taehyung just decided to let it go this time too.
"Taehyung!" She yelped, nervously, with wide eyes. But then something hit her within the words that Taehyung said.
We didn't do it? With hopeful feeling, it turned to a displeasing one because if he doesn't know, that means that Ha Na is pregnant with other man's child. However, she couldn't even remember herself having intercourse with someone else, and Jungkook explained that it wasn’t him nor Yoongi. Who else could it be?
If that were the case, there's only one possibility. That is— Hanisha possibly removing both of their memories as what Jungkook said. She really needs to talk to this Hanisha girl.
Sighing, she looked down as she pondered. I know this child belongs to Taehyung...and I want to be hopeful about it. She then stiffened when she heard the next words that Taehyung absentmindedly spouted.
"I really want to have a child with you." He blurted out, the image of the child in her arms played right in front of him.
Ha Na couldn't help but suppress a smile. I'm already having your child, Kim Taehyung.
Hopefully.
Before Ha Na could say something, a she-wolf came in the scene as she bowed to the two of them. She asked, softly. "What is it?"
"The baby needs to be fed now, and Alpha Jeon is waiting for you." She said, and Ha Na nodded before looking at Taehyung.
"Why don't you go to the palace, and maybe fixed the issue between Hoseok and Namjoon?"
"Right," Taehyung muttered, pouting when he remembered that the two aren't in good terms yet because of Hoseok remembering his memories of Namjoon betraying them. He somehow needed to convince the two to get back to the path but they've been bickering and hissing at each for Pete’s knows how long.
Ha Na smiled, leaning in as she gave him a quick peck causing Taehyung to blush. She giggled before turning around and following the she-wolf. As she dashed towards Jungkook's room, the man himself was quick to stomped his feet towards her.
"Yoongi Hyung wants to talk to you." Jungkook said seriously.
