Chapter 55 I'm pregnant

"She bears a child."
"That's not good." Elizabeth says. "This will only slow me down."
"Not just that." Elizabeth looks at her confused. "She will have a difficult pregnancy."
"Why? How did the child even survive all that torturing she went through?"
"With her being a werewolf and succubus the child will be powerful. I guess both you and her wolf shielded the baby without knowing."
"Will the child be a hybrid like her?"
"Not necessarily. Either way this child will be very powerful and will be importance to others. You have to guard and ensure this child is born." She warns.

I gasp awake, breathing heavy. I frantically look around to see I'm in the same room I used to stay in at the castle.
I unconsciously place my hand on my stomach remembering my dream. Am I really pregnant? Who was that woman anyway?
Andrew and the rest of the boys rush into the room and relief washes over their face when they see that I'm awake.
Andrew sits by the bed side and kisses me on the forehead. "You scared the shit out of me."
"What happened?"
"We think it's because of all the training this morning. You need to get hydrated and get some rest." I don't look him in the eye when I agreed with him. What if I am actually pregnant? What will his reaction be?
"We're glad you're ok." Jeremiah says. I look at Daniel and Simon beside him and give them all reassuring smile.
This is killing me. I can't go another second without knowing if it's true.
"Is there a nurse or doctor around?"
"Yeah. I'll get someone." Simon volunteers.
"We are coming with you." Jeremiah drags Daniel behind him and follows Simon out the door.
"Why do you need the doctor?"
"Just a couple questions. No biggie."
Yes it is. It's a huge biggie and I want to make sure that the biggie is a fact.
"Ok, I'll stay in here with you."
"You don't have to."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." I smile. "Now get out." I playfully shoo him and a woman walks in right after he leaves.
"Hi." She smiles and set a brief case next to the bed along with a tray with different medicines. "What do you need help with?"
"Uh.. I need to know if I'm pregnant."....
After doing a couple test she finally turn around with a bright smile. "Congratulations, you are pregnant." I hold my breath for a second in shock. "Do you need to know anything else?"
I shake my head. "No, thank you." I want to hear more when Andrew is by side.
"You're going to be a great mother, Elle." She finish packing her stuff and leaves the room.
A minute passes by and I'm still frozen in shock. Andrew comes in and sits next to me.
"What-"
"I'm pregnant." I blurt out.
"You're what?"
"I'm pregnant." I whisper.
"Holy shit." I immediately begin to worry. Is he mad?
"Are you mad?"
"Are you kidding me? I'm going to be a father." He pulls me in closer and rest our foreheads against each other. "And you are going to be the mother of my child. What more can a man want?" I sigh of relief as I see the smile on his face.
I rest my head in the crease of his neck and close my eyes. I try to imagine our lives in the future as a family, and what scares me is that I couldn't. It's blank.
As we are about to leave we both walk out the room to see Daniel and Simon smiling like buffoons and Jeremiah with his same emotionless face but not as bad as usual. I think he's smiling too.
"We're so happy for you." Daniel says.
"You were ease dropping?"
"We over heard, not on purpose." Simon defends."So, how is this going to work?"
I roll my eyes. "I'm pregnant, not dying, Simon. Everything is still the same. That plan hasn't changed."
I caught Andrew frown from the corner of my eye. I know he hates when I joke about stuff like that.
"We are going back home to deal with our guest." Andrew announces.
When we got home Andrew took me to the ER to check if everything is ok. It unsettled him that the pregnancy was the cause of my bellyaches and me blocking out earlier.
"You are three weeks in, 23 days to be exact. The baby is healthy and everything seems to be good so far."
"So why has she been feeling pain and collapsed earlier?"
"I am unsure of that because everything seems to be ok. I will suggest you get some rest and try not to do anything that will stress you out."
I nod and unconsciously squeeze Andrew's hand. Anna runs in the room all worried and looking frantically around.
"What happened? I was looking for you when someone told me you were in the ER. What's wrong?"
No one speaks and the silence is deafening.
"I'm going to give you guys some privacy." The nurse leaves the room and Anna looks at us confused and I finally tell her.
Her mouth drops to the floor and she stands there shock. After a few minutes she walks over to me at the bedside. "I knew it!" She pauses and looks at Andrew. "Are you sure it's his?" She whispers in my ear.
Andrew gives her a look and she looks at him with a straight face.
"Anna!" I hit her on the arm.
"I'm just joking. Both of you come here." She pulls off us in a bear hug. "I'm going to be an aunt!" She shrieks.
"Ok, but don't tell anyone yet."
"Can I tell Aiden?"
"No."
She frowns. "Fine. How far along are you?"
"3 weeks."
"Oh and the baby is healthy?" I get why she's worried and confused. I was gone for two weeks and tortured for seven days, of course I'm wondering how my baby survived. I remembered what the woman said, the baby is powerful and I'll have a difficult pregnancy. I didn't tell Andrew anyone because I know they won't let me go anywhere and they'll try to stop me.
I have a feeling that we're going to need whoever that woman is and that we'll find her in that mountain. I think she's a witch and I need her to answer my questions.
"Yes." I reassured her. We didn't tell her about my complications these past few days and we're going to keep it that way.
Andrew followed us back home and left to make sure the Night walker pack and Solar moon pack are ok and ready to leave tomorrow. Anna stayed until I fell asleep but the truth is I wasn't to begin with. Too much was running through my mind and it won't stop.
What does Elizabeth have to do with this woman and why did she lie?
What will happen to me if the pregnancy doesn't go smoothly?
And the demons. What are we going to do about them? Nothing will stop Elizabeth from going into war again. What if we lose this time? What if I lose this time?
I sniffle and wipe the tears from my eyes but they just keep pooling down. I reach for the tissues on the bedside table and sit up in the bed.
"Elle, what did you do to Luca-?" Andrew stops as he sees me crying.
He rushes over to me. "W-what's wrong?"
"We're in the middle of a war, Andrew. We are bringing a child into this world and all we are doing is running and fighting for our lives..... How-?" I stop, can't even bring myself to finish.
"We are going to be ok, Elle."
"We keep saying that but we are lying to ourselves! We don't know what they got up their sleeves, we're just improvising as we go and guess what? We have nothing. For all we know those packs out there might even turn their backs on us in the middle of everything."
"Who fucking cares? We made it out once and we'll make it out again. This time, for good."
"I'm scared Andrew. I'm afraid I can't protect this child."
"You got me." He puts his finger under my chin to lift my head up. He looks into my eyes and say. "I will do everything in my power to ensure both of you are safe."
I grip onto his shirt pull him closer to me. I lean my forehead against his and I let a breath of relief out. I needed to hear that from him. I needed reassurance.
"I love you so much." I cup his face and kiss him with desperation. He pulls me in closer and wrap his arms around me protectively.
"Don't be scared, baby." He whispers and wipes the tears from my eyes.
He holds me in his arms for the rest of the night and sat in silence enjoying each others company. That's all I needed.
