"You became a bit stronger, huh... Raven."
Raven frowned as he heard his name from his attacker’s mouth.
"Guess Lunar Academy isn’t called the best for no reason. Even a bug like you improved."
"What a surprise, HAHAHA!"
The attacker then said, and two of his (Raven assumed) ’companions’ laughed.
Raven looked at them—three males, about 17 to 18 years old, with fairly well-built bodies. The three of them looked disgustingly annoying enough to make him frown.
"Who the fuck are you guys?"
The three stopped moving for a while and looked at each other.
And then they started laughing again.
"You just got accepted to Lunar and now you forgot your best friends?"
"Hey, do you have money?"
"Yeah, give your friends some."
The two boys behind him then spoke in an rather authoritative tone, like they believe they’re better than Raven.
Raven’s head started aching. He grabbed it with his right hand as it felt like his brain was being split!
And after that... Unfamiliar memories started playing like a film in his mind!
In the memories, Raven saw three people assaulting ’him’ with smiles on their faces.
And ’his’ assaulters’ names were Jericho, Prem, and Jayson.
Prem was their leader.
Raven didn’t know how, but he knew about them.
"You’re weak as fuck."
"Punching you feels good, huh."
"You’re a great punching bag, you should do this full-time."
"Raven, you’re just a piece of shit... Don’t you dare try to talk back."
In the memories playing in Raven’s head, Prem, Jason, and Jericho said things like that to ’him’.
But what caught Raven’s attention was that the ’him’ in the memories—the ’Raven’ in the memories—didn’t cry. Not even once.
Raven felt what the ’Raven’ in the memories was feeling and thinking. ’He’ did not come to fear Prem and the other two. ’He’ also didn’t utter a word to them even once.
’He’ didn’t even consider them as humans.
For ’Raven’, they were just unrecyclable trash.
Even if the boys stole ’his’ money, food, or beat the shit out of ’him’, ’his’ feelings toward the three didn’t change. This all happened when ’Raven’ wasn’t awakened yet.
’Raven’ then one day told Prem’s, Jericho’s, and Jayson’s parents what their sons were doing to ’him’.
But they didn’t take ’him’ seriously, saying it was just a kid’s prank and ’he’s’ being too immature and sensitive. They even got angry at ’him’.
’Raven’ didn’t tell his parents as ’he’ didn’t want to trouble them.
So the ’Raven’ in the memories decided to make his move and didn’t just stay still in those situations.
One time, ’he’ prepared a different lunch box with food inside containing a weak, odorless, and tasteless poison that would cause a stomachache for hours.
Then ’Raven’ let Prem, Jericho, and Jayson steal it.
Of course, ’Raven’ got caught by the three after they experienced the stomachache, resulting in them beating ’him’ more violently.
But ’Raven’ didn’t stop there. Not long after, ’he’ bought fake money and let Prem and the others steal it.
’Raven’ then reported them to the local police for using fake money.
They couldn’t admit it wasn’t theirs and had stolen it from ’Raven’.
So Jayson, Jericho, and Prem got arrested and put in jail for weeks, while ’Raven’ received a reward for reporting them.

And one time... When ’Raven’ saw Prem and the other two scumbags approaching him—
’He’ immediately wore gloves and hid his hands inside his pants’ pockets.
The three then brought ’him’ to a secluded area.
And as soon as ’he’ made sure that there were no cameras and anyone else around them—’Raven’ took out a small knife from his pocket that he prepared beforehand!
Then without hesitation—’he’ stabbed Jericho and Jayson!
But he wasn’t done yet, because after doing that... ’Raven’ stabbed ’himself’ with the same knife!
And quickly ’he’ threw the knife at Prem, aiming for his face! Though Prem caught it effortlessly as he was already awakened at that time.
This all happened in a matter of seconds, as there were only a small distance between the four boys.
Prem, Jericho, and Jayson looked at Raven with widened, terrified eyes. They thought they were looking at a lunatic!
But that didn’t last long as they got angry at ’him’ soon and decided to beat him to death.
It was then that ’Raven’ played a police siren sound using his V.D, which he had received from his parents as a birthday present.
Prem and the other two panicked and fled upon hearing that.
On the other hand, ’Raven’ burned his gloves and buried them somewhere.
Then ’he’ went to a local police station and reported that someone had tried to murder ’him’.
’Raven’ pointed to Prem as the attacker and said there were two more victims who had been attacked.
When Prem was caught and Jericho and Jayson were visited by the police—
The three of them denied everything ’Raven’ said. But when the police recovered the knife used in the attack from Prem’s trash bin—he had accidentally brought it home in panic—
’Raven’s’ fingerprints weren’t found on the knife. Instead, it was all Prem’s fingerprints that were discovered there.
It was soon revealed by the police’s investigation that Jericho, Jayson, and Prem had been physically and mentally abusing ’Raven’, resulting in the three of them being suspended from school while ’Raven’ was given the solid position of a victim and wasn’t even considered a suspect.
Prem’s and the other two’s families paid ’Raven’s’ hospital bills.
Prem was jailed again for ten years for attempted murder, but he was bailed out by his parents. His criminal record, however, remained.
The ’Raven’ in the memories was constantly thinking of how to take revenge on his enemies. Even though he was powerless, he didn’t cry. Instead, he strategized how to destroy them in the most satisfying way.
Anyway... That was the last time ’Raven’ saw the three, as while Prem was in jail, ’he’ awakened and was admitted to Lunar.
Raven muttered when the memories finally stopped entering and playing in his mind restlessly.
"What’s wrong with you? Did you shit your pants just by seeing us?"
Then, one of the young men in front of him said that.
Raven looked ahead and faced them.
They were the same three bastards from the memories that had just entered his head... Jericho, Jayson, and Prem...
"Did you know that I can’t even get a decent job because of what you did, you fucker? I can’t even go back to school..."
Prem said with an annoyed expression on his face and enraged voice.
Raven just ignored him. Instead, he appraised their status.
’Looks like all of them are awakened. Jericho and Jayson are rank, while Prem is rank.’
He thought to himself... Then he walked toward Prem.
His steps were confident and steady.
"Huh, what’s gotten into you?"
Prem asked, frowning.
Raven didn’t answer him and just continued to walk while looking at him straight.
He stopped in front of Prem.
"What do you want? You miss being beaten?"
Prem arrogantly asked and scoffed.
Raven suddenly grabbed the collar of Prem’s shirt!
And then he punched his face with a mana-coated fist!
"You’re fucking annoying."
Raven mumbled. First, he got angry at them for ambushing him, but after he saw the memories earlier, he got even madder.
Jericho and Jayson were surprised at Raven’s sudden actions and froze on their place!
Then Raven punched Prem in the face again, not letting go of his collar!
"You’re all just extras and you act like you’re the shits."
Raven muttered, then...
He punched Prem’s face again.
Prem’s nose broke and started to bleed, causing him to scream in pain.
Jericho and Jayson were about to fight back, but at Raven’s words, their bodies halted. Raven was emitting a heavy pressure that made them unable to move.
They couldn’t help but freeze completely when Raven looked at them with cold eyes.
"You guys should stop using overused lines. It’s cringe."
Raven said and looked back at Prem, who he was lifting in the air with one hand.
He was glaring at Raven.
"I’m gonna... fucking kill... you."
He looked at Jericho and Jayson for a while, then looked back at Prem again.
"You guys attacked me first."
"So what I’m doing is for self-defense..."
Prem let out another pained scream after being punched again in the nose.
"...And for revenge."
Raven’s lips then curled up after saying that, and soon he formed a creepy, mischievous smile on his face.
