Alexander’s POV
.
I had no idea how long I was unconscious. But when I opened my eyes, I quickly scanned for the face which I wanted to see the most. And to my surprise, she was sleeping peacefully by snuggling into me. As if she didn’t want to leave me alone even for a second.
She quickly looked at me when I stirred a little.
“Did I disturb you? I’m sorry.”, I apologized to which she slapped on my chest.
“Dare you try to pull that stunt again Mr. Alexander Stone. I swear, I will bite you on your ass.”, She threatened. Immediately I remembered what was the situation when I was welcomed by darkness.
“What..what had happened after I fell unconscious?”, I asked, getting worried. I examined her, looking for any kind of injuries, but then she looked completely fine.
“Your legs...How is it?”
“Ssshhh! Calm down. I’m fine. Okay! And getting back to your question, nothing much happened after you fell unconscious.”, She responded and started narrating everything.
(“LEAVE THE BITCH AND CALL THE DOCTOR!!!”,
“You…You snatched my son from me and I will snatch all your happiness from you.”)
“Even in that situation, he threatened you. That sounds so much like our father.”, I joked on which she glared at me.
“That’s not at all funny. I got so scared seeing you in that state.”, She mumbled. “I feel that I’m the reason for your misery.”, She added.
“If that’s the case then I can also say the same.”, I said on which she looked at me in confusion. “I made you cry plenty even though I had promised myself that I would never let you cry.”, I said as I caresses her soft cheeks.
“I don’t want to spend my life without you, Alex. In fact now, I can’t imagine my life without you. When you took the bullet on yourself, I felt like my whole life fell apart and I had no idea how to stop it.”, I couldn't stop the tears, and Alex’s eyes soften.
He touches the back of my head and guided my face into the crook of his neck. “All the pains have to pass through me before reaching you and while doing so, if anything will happen to me then remember that I will always find a way to come back to you.”
She wrapped her arms around me. “Stop talking like that. Nothing will ever happen to you.”
“Marry me, Amber!”, I proposed, not knowing what the next moment had held for us. Immediately Amber maintained some distance between us and sat straight on the bed, beside me. I was about to tease her, thinking she reacted in this way because of my sudden proposal. And the moment, I opened my mouth, the door of my room was wide open, revealing my father.
Now I got it, she already released his presence that’s why she acted in that way.
He walked inside and his cold gaze scanned my body, then back to my face. “You risked your own life for this bitch and Marcus helped her by going against me.”, He stated. “Can’t you see that she started doing her work before she actually become the family member of this family?”
I didn’t respond because at that time, I couldn’t trust my words. I really didn’t want to insult him in front of Amber by calling her BITCH, again and again, just glared at him.
“You’ve surprised me today. But this’s not over, Xander! If I can’t kill her because of your interference and then I will kick her out of your life.”, He threatened before storming out of the room. I knew he was serious with his words. I knew how my father was and I knew he could go to any extent to stick to his words.

Amber’s POV

‘Get the Knight’s family at my place as soon as possible.’, I heard Nicolaus ordering his men when he went out of the room.
This hunter, who was apparently the father of my mate was determined to kill me….not correction, he wouldn’t kill me now for the sake of his son but was determined to kick me out of his son’s life.
And I cowered at that thought.
I didn’t want to lose Alex at any cost.
“I can sense your fear, Amber.”, Alex commented on which I turned my face to look at him.
“Then how do you think I should react knowing that your father will try his best to separate us.”
“Then you should think of the ways to prove him wrong.”, He pointed out.
I felt my forehead crease. “I don’t understand.”
“Marry me and let’s settle away from here, away from my father.”
“Why do you think that your father won’t try to create problems in our life after our marriage?”
“I don’t think he can stoop that low. Soon, he will realize how important you are for me.”
I thought for a while about this topic. Everything was happening in my life so suddenly that I really some time to get accustomed to it.
“What are you thinking?”
“That…what if the wolf who killed your mother is somewhere related to me? I mean…you are not marrying me to take revenge or to hurt me?”
Immediately the mood of my mate changed. He narrowed his eyes at me. “Are you even listening to what you are saying?”, He asked angrily. “I will think of taking revenge from you?”, He demanded, his voice laced with venom.
“You stupid werewolf, can’t you understand my feeling for you? I’m fighting with father for you just because I love you, damn it!”
My eyes widened at his sudden outburst while my wolf was howling in happiness.

Third Person’s POV

“Luna, we found your lost long daughter.”, Tyler’s words Luna Fallon Lighthood stiffened. Because that was the last news she was hoping to hear. Years back, during the war with the hunter, her mate suggested her, to run away along with their child. But instead of running away, she hid her daughter in a lorry filled with woods and when back to her mate to help in the fight. But by the time, she reached there her mate was already dead.
And when she went back to get their daughter back, she was nowhere to be found.
She spend all her life finding her daughter but she didn’t find her anywhere and now finally she got the news of her daughter.
“What? Really!!”, She explained in happiness and excitement. “Where’s she now? Where have you met her? Are you sure that she’s my daughter?”
“Yes, positive Luna.”
“Then take me to her.”
“But…
“But what?”
“We have a problem.”, Fallon felt whatever her beta was going to say, she wouldn’t like it.
“And what’s that?”
“She was sold to hunters for the settlement of debts.”, Fallon’s eyes widened when Tyler mentioned the name of hunters, both anger and pain started floating in her mind when she recalled what they had done to her mate and her pack. “Not only this, her mate is the elder son of Nicolaus Stone, Alexander Son.”
‘That’s it. I have to bring my pup back from those hunters.’, Fallon thought with determination in her eyes.
