Alexander’s POV

“Father”, I greeted him with a smile in the hospital where he looked all fine but still the doctor was going to discharge him tomorrow morning. He glared and his nostril flared, indicating to me that he was very very very mad.
“Where’s she?”
“Who father?”, I tried to act innocent even though I knew what he was asking. Immediately all the guards in the room left from there, leaving both my father and me alone. My father signaled me to come toward him and I did, I received a punch in my face.
Damn! My teeth!
I felt the taste of blood in my mouth but I maintained a poker expression.
“Did you remember whom I am talking about or do you need some dose?”, He hissed. “I am asking this with you again, my boy. Where the hell is she?”
I kept my mouth shut because I didn’t want to lie to him and speaking the truth would cost my woman’s life. “Do you think me a fool? I have been hearing rumors from the moment I opened my eyes.”, He paused before speaking again “Tell me it isn’t true.”
“Why don’t you take some rest father! After all, you just woke up from a coma after three weeks.”, I suggested. “We have so many things to catch up on. We will do that when you will get discharged from the hospital..”

My father kept throwing dragger at me through his eyes. He was still the leader of the hunter organization, and away smarter and more powerful than me. Almost 99% of our guards were still loyal to him first then me. And I am sure, he would have found out everything.
“You’re trying to change the topic?”
“Fath...
“ALEXANDER STONE”, He cut me off. “I’M ASKING FOR THE LAST TIME, WHERE’S THE GIRL?”
I swallowed my saliva in fear, no, I was not afraid for me but my woman. “Can we please not talk about her?”, I requested and suddenly, his leg which was on the bed, landed on my chest hardly. The attack was so sudden that I hardly managed myself from falling on the floor.
“WHERE IS THAT DOG! NO NOT DOG BUT BITCH?”, He roared.
I straightened myself before responding to him. “I have hidden her.”, I accepted the truth because today or tomorrow he would find out that as well. “Away from you, so that you can’t hurt her.”
His eyes got colder than before. I could tell that he was damn too furious. “And why are you so much concerned about her? As far as I know, you don’t feel anything for any woman.”, He asked.
“But things are quite different with her, father. I have never felt myself so alive and happy..”
“Enough!”, He roared, cutting me in between. “You can’t live with a bitch. I will never let you be with her. NEVER.”, He announced, his voice laced with disgust.
My jaw clenched at that. “But father, I want to be with her.”
He looked like he gives a damn about this fact and didn’t seem impressed. “If you want a bitch in your life then buy it from a pet shop but there’s no way an animal be my daughter-in-law. Now tell me where’s she?”
My jaw clenched at his words again. “I won’t tell you that.”, I said in a flat tone.
“What did you just say to me boy?”, He shouted, his fists tightening into a ball, ready to hit me again.
“I won’t tell you where she is.”, I repeated only to receive another punch from him again. I wouldn’t be surprised if my teeth would come out of my mouth after getting a few more punches from him.
I could practically see the smoke coming out of his ear at my words. He kept glaring at me and at the same time, he was shocked as well because this was the first time, I was fighting so hard to protect her from him. I have never gone against his words before. I was his pride and joy. This would surprise him just as much it would anger him.
“Are you protecting her just because she’s a girl?”, He asked. “Her wolf has the same golden coat which the killer of your mother had. If she is the daughter of that wolf then we can take perfect revenge on her by killing her slowly and gradually. That golden wolf, who had killed your mother is alive and this news will surely break his/her heart that we killed his/her daughter mercilessly.”
I stiffened at my father’s cold-hearted words toward the woman, whom I was claiming to be interested in her.
How could he not think about my happiness?
“You won’t harm my woman, father. I won’t sit quietly if anyone even touches her single strand of hair of her body.”, I warned. “I don’t give a damn whether Amber is related to that golden wolf by anyways or not. I want to spend my whole life with her, with or without consent.”
My eyes searched mine once more, a look of shock crossing his face.
“Are you in love with her?”
“I…I…”, I got off guarded by his sudden question. Before I could answer this question, he asked another question. “Are you her mate?”, He asked with a sinister smile playing on his lips.
Knowing how a mate was the weakness of any werewolf, my father started laughing loudly.
“Now, now, now!”, He said between his laugh. “I don’t think I have to waste my time in looking for her because she would come to me on her own. After all, I have her mate with me.”, He laughed again while my face lost all its color because of horror.

'Mate...Mate's hurt.', Amber's wolf started stirring in Amber's mind feeling the pain of her mate.
