Sean was heard cursing when I arrived in the kitchen, his arms raised, one hand holding a glass of milk, the front of his shirt and tie wet. Putting the glass on the bar table, he grabbed a napkin I immediately approached him to help him.
“There’s no point in you doing that, just change your clothes.” The napkin in his hand moved to mine, I placed it near his glass of milk. I looked at him who still looked annoyed because of the incident a few seconds ago. My hand moved to untie his tie.
“We’re going to be late this morning,” he said, I smiled as my hands were busy unbuttoning his white shirt, after all that he pulled and released it from his body, the scent of his body that I like invaded my sense of smell.
“What do you want for breakfast? Mrs. Liam won’t be here until noon.”
“I want pancakes, I’ll make them, you go get dressed.” I immediately shifted from in front of him to the refrigerator, checking the ingredients for my breakfast this time.
“Just the clothes later, I want breakfast too, let me help.”
We were busy making breakfast together, I held back my laughter when I saw her wearing a pink floral apron that I’m also wearing today. Pour the flour into a medium-sized ceramic bowl until the bowl is almost full.
“I know I look ridiculous right now, stop laughing Mrs Valentino or you’ll be punished in the morning.”
I burst out laughing after he said that, this morning Sean looks very funny in my eyes.
“You want to be punished, Mrs Valentino??!” He looked at me with his gleaming humor, I bit my lip to stifle my laughter, took a step back as he came towards me, getting closer and my hand reflexively grabbed a handful of flour that was in the bowl and threw the flour at him and hit his face. He wiped the flour from his face and we gave chase and started a flour war. Some of my hair looks white from flour.
“I give up.” Sean declared his surrender first, Sam interrupted us who had just finished doing some silly behavior in the morning. Sam looked at us questioningly. Sean distracted Sam by asking.
“Anything important, Sam?”
Sam cleared his throat, I was getting impatient for information.
“About the matter I emailed last night, sir.” They both looked at each other full of meaning that I didn’t know, oh no, I rolled my eyes while chuckling lightly. There’s no important information this time, My Inner Goddess and common sense look disappointed, my senses exhale loudly through her mouth while my Inner Goddess looks ugly with her disappointed expression. Sean told Sam to wait for him in his room, I walked up to him who was looking at me with humor dancing in his eyes, I was swayed by the humor so my attention was distracted.
“Dress time,” he says, a childish smile on his face, he wraps his arms around his waist as we leave the kitchen, he wraps his arms around me. We decided to take turns showering, at first, Sean asked me to take a bath together, but I reminded him of his promise to Sam and I to attend a meeting together with the finance staff. I let Sean take a shower first, while I called Joana, my secretary to postpone the meeting schedule for about 20 minutes. After taking a shower and drying my hair for ten minutes, I went to work with Jared and Zafrina who faithfully accompanied me, I was getting used to their presence, I must admit, they are very competent in carrying out their duties, Sean is an expert in this kind of thing. No wonder he was surrounded by competent people.
Joana greeted me when I arrived on the floor of my room, she was about the same age as me, so I had no trouble getting close and communicating with her, what’s more, she is experienced in her work.
“The meeting will start in five minutes.” Joana told me before I entered my room, I put my bag on the table, took my tablet out of my desk drawer and called Joana over the intercom to come into my room.
“Everything is alright?” the girl asked as she entered my room.
“Please tell Carlos, I need some hot chocolate milk before I go to a meeting, I haven’t had breakfast yet.”
Joana swiftly left, regret for wasting my time this morning with that silly thing with Sean overtaking me, but I enjoyed it. I smiled again, Carlos came with a glass of warm chocolate milk, he smiled kindly at me before leaving my room. I dropped my ass into a soft leather chair, then drank my chocolate milk up to half a glass, then left my room to attend a meeting. Joana and I got out of the elevator when we got to the floor of the meeting room, a man who was the janitor of this building was cleaning the floor using a vacuum cleaner, at first glance I seemed to recognize the man. Joana turned my attention to the topic of today’s meeting, when I entered the meeting room, all the financial staff of this foundation were already present. I immediately started the meeting which I had postponed due to my lateness.
My cell phone vibrated while one of the staff was giving this year’s financial presentation. I glanced at the thing, My King Of Heart was printed on my cellphone screen. It was unusual for Sean to call at a time like this, the next second there was a loud explosion, the floor seemed to vibrate under my feet and the monitor in the meeting room turned off. My gaze turned to Joana who also looked confused, Jared entered without being asked and came over to me.
“You must leave immediately, Mrs Valentino, this is an order from Mr Valentino,” Jared whispered in my ear, the fire alarm sounded loudly, Zafrina came in and instructed everyone in the meeting room to get out immediately, a fire broke out in the hall. This building, I immediately followed Jared, Joana took my hand and came with me. The atmosphere outside the meeting room was noisy, people seemed to be running towards the elevator. Panic slowly overtook me, the electricity in this building went out so the elevator didn’t work. Jared’s cell phone rang, he answered the call from someone who didn’t know.
“I need to go to the toilet.” Joana spoke up, I looked at the girl who seemed to have a restless face. I held his hand to give him reassurance and tried to calm him down, on the other hand I was also feeling restless.
“I’ll accompany Joana to the toilet,” I told Zafrina, Jared still busy taking the call. The three of us headed to the toilet in the corner of this room. Zafrina stood guard at the entrance to the toilet, while Joana rushed into one of the cubicles, I went to the sink and washed my hands.
“Hello Ana, honey.”
