I mean, it had to. What’s the point of being a genius if you can’t back it up with a strong body, a shinobi had to have both to be truly strong?
Now that I had enough brainpower to shame most experienced geniuses in the research division, I figured it was time to circle back to the other half of being a shinobi—physical growth and chakra reserves.
So, to do that, I once again continued my medical studies alongside Tsunade as I did before.
By the way, Tsunade by now was almost done with everything, her studies were almost over, and she already had some medical jutsu on her hands.
This time, I wasn’t just studying neurology anymore. Now it was full-body anatomy.
Heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, bones, muscles, chakra network, blood flow—everything.
With smart mode on, it was super easy. I didn’t need to reread the same scroll twenty times anymore. Now I just flipped through the scroll once, closed it, and the entire contents were etched into my head like a tattoo.
It was kind of a miracle how fast I was learning and understanding everything now.
Tsunade noticed it too. She didn’t say anything outright, but every now and then I caught her looking at me like she was trying to solve a puzzle that kept changing the answer.
I just kept studying.
Because now, I had a plan.
A very carefully thought of plan, made by the one and only, smart mode me.
Since I couldn’t rely on bloodlines, and had no Senju DNA, no Uchiha eyes, no Uzumaki vitality. Nothing.
So, what was I going to do?
No, I was not talking about growing taller or older.
And certainly not just lifting weights and punching logs until I collapsed. That was for people with time. And chakra. And idiot-level tolerance for pain.
I had something better—chakra control, and now, a high-functioning brain that could calculate enhancement feedback loops in real time.
So here was the idea:
Enhance my internal organs.
Not the flashy muscles on the outside, I was going internal now.
Because that’s where everything about your body actually happened.
Lungs? Oxygenate more.
Stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas? Digest and process food at super efficiency.
Endocrine system? Regulate my hormones for the best results possible.
Once I enhanced those?
Then digest it instantly, break it down into usable energy, and dump that energy directly into chakra and physical development.
If I were back on earth as a normal human, then it was a dumb, dangerous, Probably biologically unsound idea.
But in this world full of shinobi.... Such a thing is nothing to worry about, at all...
See, here’s something I realized after reading about the biology of humans of this world.
Growth doesn’t always follow Earth logic here.
People here don’t just grow by age or height or just lifting weight.
They grow by chakra too.
The presence of chakra warps biology.
The energy you take in by eating does not only contribute to grow your height, it also increases your physique and chakra.
Which means, if I could use my internal organ enhancement to crank my body’s energy-absorption efficiency, food-processing, metabolism, and energy redirection to the max...
I could slowly but surely level up.
Yeah, this was a very expensive way to grow, you would need a lot of food and good food too, but honestly, I did not lack money.
So, I could easily exercise hard, break my muscles, then eat a protein rich diet, and quickly digest it all to efficiently regenerate much stronger muscles, without any irregularities.
Sure, I wasn’t gonna become a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki or a reincarnation of Indra with this routine, let alone someone like Hashirama.
Two or three times that of Jiraiya’s chakra?
Maybe even four times if all went according to plan.
Yes, that good... taking my chakra which would probably cap at somewhere around elite chunin to low jonin level at my peak, straight to the very peak of Kage level, bordering Super Kage in raw chakra amount.
Of course, there were downsides to this too,
If I just ate and digested with that fervour, I would slowly but surely get fatter as time passes, maybe one day I might become like an Akimichi...
That would be disastrous, I had good looks, black hair, green eyes, definitely cute for now, and handsome in the future.
So, becoming fat would be a real disaster...
Because I had a failsafe, my brain.
Fat-processing processes.
Liver. Pancreas. Gallbladder. Intestines. Hormones.
I enhanced them all too, this time with the express purpose of breaking down fat constantly. Burning fat rapidly generating energy free to use at all times..
The extra energy would go straight to increase the body’s vitality, at a cellular level, enhancing both my chakra and physical strength.
Of course, this wasn’t some magic trick, The growth rate was still slow.
But it was way better than only natural training. Months ahead of schedule, if not more.
This was sustainable long-term.
Every meal became a training session.
Every rest became a regeneration period.
I was using chakra control like a biological cheat engine.
And it could all be paired with natural training too, multiplying my growth speed.
So, I started the process, by eating a lot, dozens of eggs each day, along with meat, healthy veggies, and fruits, every nutrient dense food I could find, buy it all, devour it all.
It wasn’t rapid, there were almost no visible changes, but,
Over the weeks, I started noticing it.
My stamina during sparring lasted longer.
My chakra pool felt slightly bigger.
My recovery time shrank.
It wasn’t flashy. I wasn’t shooting out Rasengans or forbidden jutsus just yet, but it was a pretty good start.
The base was forming, slowly but surely and continuously, I would become stronger.
The kind of base that could support the weight of thousands of jutsus and whatever ideas my brain cooked up later .
Nobody noticed. Because it was that slow.
She just thought I was eating a lot and "finally growing up." Because she too, did eat a lot, now, I was just catching up to her in food intake.
So that’s my current situation,
Metabolism, accelerated.
Endocrine system, regulated.
Now I no longer need to worry about anything, just live like any other normal genius, and grow up naturally.
Maybe try to get on with a good teacher, preferably Hiruzen.
Oh, and did I mention about me getting stronger physically too? Since all of this was kind of based on life return.
I would one day, develop the kind of body that could take a Rasengan and still get back up, without issues.
And to do all that, I need to beat the Akimichis in their own game.
