Joey really kept his words.. He really keeps his words about everything. He cooked breakfast , lunch and dinner. Joseph helped him along with Natalia.
When we almost bumped into each other , he turned around and took another way. When our eyes met , he quickly looked away and went somewhere else. He doesn't even eat when we're eating.. he ate when he cooked and then took a shower when everyone else was eating.
Until the camp was over , he's good at avoiding and almost never appeared in front of my eyes. My eyes were the one who looked for him..
I felt very happy , and even Leah thought I would go Lottery or something. I was beyond happy when Joey never appeared into my life again. Harry is back to usual again even though I have to explain to him about Raymond. He's really sweet to me.
When I got into the bus , I saw Joey sit at the back talking with the girls and I sit with Harry. I love this.. he doesn't bother me anymore and I'm like a dog who had been cage for years and had been set free by my owner
As we get back.. the exam week started and I never saw Joey from that day. It's a really good thing though.. me and Harry had 3 dates already and I like him.. I guess.
"One last exam History" I walked into the class and suddenly a paper ball landed into my face. I saw Joey and Joseph froze as they knew it hit me. Joseph ran to me
"Sorry Val.. It was an accident" He said
"It's fine"
"Go away" Leah said
Yes.. I have History with Joey. This is the first time I've seen him again after that camp. He's really good at avoiding and not appearing in front of my face. Our eyes met for a split second but after that he looked away.
"Good thing he doesn't bother you anymore" Leah whispered as we walked to the back of the class. Leah doesn't know.. I'm a bad best friend but I think it will be better that she doesn't know about it for now
"Class! Sit down on your seat and let's start this" My teacher started to give out the test paper and let's do this. 2 hours of exam but I got it in 1 and a half hours. Now what am I going to do? 30 minutes is quite a lot..
I turned to Leah who sits beside me and she's sleeping. What the hell? Has she done it or not? I looked at her paper and yes she's already done it. Glad to see that.. I turned my head to the window and my eyes landed to Joey.
The sunlight illuminates his face , it shows his face perfectly. He's seriously doing his test.. I saw him biting on his pen and then writing the answer and biting his pen again. I can't help but chuckled silently seeing him so serious
Suddenly his face turned to the window.. looking out to it. I wonder what he is looking at? My eyes widened as his eyes found mine. He immediately turned away that second.. After that he turned to the window until the bell rang.
He gave the test paper to my teacher and he ran out of the class so fast. He really keep his words..
"Yes! We're finished!" Leah squealed and I just smiled happily to her
"Let's go eat pizza" She pulled me out from the classroom.. dragging me fast
I saw Joey talking to Natalia , he leaned to the locker and laughing with her. My heart just crunches and I don't know what it is.. I don't know why I felt that
"Leah" I called and she stopped , she looked at me raising her eyebrows
"What? Why?" She asked
"I'm not feeling good" I lied.. Sorry Leah
"Really? You must be tired , you kept sleeping late these days" She said and I nodded
"Let me take you home"
"No no.. I'm fine. I want to walk alone" She looked at me and I know she knows something going on. We have been friends since we're 7. We know each other hearts just by looking at each other
"No need to lie, Val.. Call me if you want to talk about it" She smiled
"Thankyou Leah!" I smiled and waved at her
"Val" I turned to see Harry running to me
"Hey no need to run.. what's up?" I asked
"So how's the exam?" He asked
"Good I guess. How about you?"
"I think I'll pass this exam" He chuckled and I smiled
"You already did your best"
"Uhmm Val , are you free at the 24th?" He asked and I shook my head
"Sorry I'm in LA that day" I said and he nodded
"LA?"
"Yeah , me and my family always gather together at Christmas"
"Oh that's nice.. I'll see you next year then" He patted my head and suddenly this question came out from my mind
"Harry.. can I ask you something?"
"Yeah? Anything"
"Why do you call me Val not Valentine?" I asked and he laughed
"Valentine is mouthful , Val is shorter" Joey said that my name is beautiful..
"Oh okay"
"Why ask that kind of question? Aren't you used to being called Val?" He asked and I shook my head
"Just asking.. my head is weird after exams" I said
"Okay then. See you next year" He said and I turned my body.. and walked away suddenly I was pulled away by someone. A car passed by so fast and it almost hit me if someon- Joey.
My heart beat 3 times faster than before , he looked at the car and then he turned to me. He immediately released his grip from my arm. He looked down and turned his body around.. and walked away
"Joey" I called and he stopped walking , he just stand here not saying anything
"Thankyou" I continued and he continued to walk away..
