Felix’s car pulled up in front of the Kings Hotel, and Felix couldn’t help but stare in awe at the sheer size of it. He definitely couldn’t even afford the sight of it in his past life—if you could call it that.
He was about to pull the car door open to step out, and had only opened it a centimeter when the chauffeur hastily ran up to the side and opened it the rest of the way and made several deep bows in apology.
Felix wasn’t used to this kind of treatment and wanted to tell the man it was fine, seeing the look of terror on his face. But remembering his brand personality, Felix stepped out and patted the man on his shoulder to assure him no offense was taken.
But the man looked up with terror written all over his face and fell on his knees in defeat. And before Felix could even register what was happening, another chauffeur ran to take his place as the previous one got dragged away by a bouncer, like they were taking him to a dark alley to silence him for good.
This reminded Felix of that one time with Michael when the S-Rank had misunderstood his hand signal and strangled the innocent candidate.
Felix quickly raised his hand to stop the bouncer, afraid of what might happen to this one. The bouncer instantly stopped dragging the man across the floor, and the man quickly began kowtowing to Felix.
Felix couldn’t help but smile at the serious moment, when a camera flash from a distance instantly wiped the smile off his face.
It was from a paparazzi’s camera and from the way the man stared back at Felix, he probably didn’t know his flash was on.

Felix didn’t need to do anything this time, as the bouncers quickly chased after the paparazzi to retrieve his camera.
"You can kill that one," Felix thought as he began walking towards the hotel entrance closely followed by multiple bouncers who weren’t there to protect him, but to prevent anyone from getting too close to him. When he noticed that just before the entrance of the hotel, the entire staff of the hotel had lined up with the manager, and all bowed deeply as he approached. Felix had seen this in a lot of movies and knew it was a gesture usually done for the CEO, and though he wasn’t a CEO or have any idea who that was, they usually walked right past them without sparing them a glance, and that was exactly what he did.
Felix walked past them without acknowledging their presence and the manager quickly followed behind with the staffs not far off.
"It’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Sage Felix," The manager began, keeping up with Felix’s brisk pace. "We’re happy you chose us over all other resorts, and we promise that your comfort will be our top priority—" the man was saying.
"I didn’t choose you," Felix suddenly interrupted.
"W—What?" The manager carefully asked to know if he had heard that right.
Felix paused his steps and turned to look at the manager, "I didn’t choose you." He stated plainly.
Of course, Felix never chose Kings hotel for his residence and thought he might clear that up for absolutely no reason.
The manager quickly laughed awkwardly to ease the non-existent tension in the air, "I understand—"
Felix wasn’t listening to whatever it was he was saying next as he spotted a familiar figure who had run up halfway to him, but paused in fear and uncertainty and stared at him nervously from a distance, holding her aged handbag before her.
Felix’s heart skipped a beat as he spotted his mother. She was no different from when last he saw her. A beautiful woman whom the hardships of life had aged beyond her years, and stolen the glow and luster of her skin over the years.
Felix was rooted to the spot, too scared to step forward as he didn’t know what his mother thought of him now he looked nothing like the boy she’d given birth to and raised for over eighteen years.
But his mother didn’t hesitate any longer as she saw he still recognized and acknowledged her, she quickly ran forward with tears streaming down her face.
When one of the bouncers suddenly stepped forward to block her path, Felix’s eyes turned red. Using the **[Telekinesis]** skill, he shoved the man out of the way.
To others, it looked like the bouncer was suddenly hit by an invisible speeding van as he skittered across the polished floors of the lobby like a pebble thrown onto the surface of water, and they paused in confusion and alarm, when it clicked for them.
Mrs. Thomasville also paused in fear and surprise, but when she looked back at Felix to see he was still looking at her as if nothing had just happened, she knew he was responsible and cried even harder as she ran up to him and tightly wrapped her arms around him.
No one dared to stop her now and the manager quickly gestured for everyone to vacate the lobby.
Felix just stood still as his mum hugged him crying onto his shoulder, with his vision blurring from the tears accumulating in his eyes and his face turning red.
His mother stepped back to slowly cup his face in her arms, "A—are you really my Felix?" She asked with a shaky breath, tears streaming uncontrollably from her eyes.
Felix opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He wanted to tell her ’yes,’ that he was still the same Felix who she always covered with a blanket each time he came back late from his part-time jobs and slept off on the couch. That ’yes,’ he was still the same Felix who she confided in about her personal problems and he gave her his advice.
But he couldn’t speak as he felt a painful blob stuck in his throat, and could only nod his head in reply.
Then she hugged him again, and this time he hugged her back, with tears streaming down his face as well.
"I missed you so much, son."
"I missed you too, mom." He said through his cracked voice.
