Sunny’s POV
We were standing by the doorway when a black limousine stopped in front of Damon’s house. My hands were shaking while looking down. Damn, why do I feel so nervous? What if they don’t like me? What if they ask me to just leave? What if they ask me questions that I cannot answer?
“Don’t be nervous, they are nice.” I suddenly heard Damon whispered to me and so I looked at him. Tss. How can I assure that they are nice when all you keep on doing is to be mean to me?
“Good Evening, Mr. and Mrs. Furlord.” The maids greeted the couple who entered the mansion. Damon bowed to them and so did I. “G-Good Evening, ma’am.”
“Oh, Damon sweetie! I missed you so much! Thank you for inviting us over!” said the woman as he came running towards Damon and hugged him, also showering his face with kisses, causing him to frown. I almost laughed upon seeing his irritated face. So, he really is a mama’s boy, huh?
My mouth went agape upon seeing the face of his mom, she has a small V-shape face, large emerald eyes, small nose, and small chin. She looks like a human doll if I can say. She was wearing a black fitted halter dress which perfectly showcased her sexy curves. Then the man who was with her looks exactly like Damon except his hair was not slicked back but it made him look like a prince. Are they really his parents? Don’t they look just our age?
Then her mom’s gaze found mine, my heart started beating faster than before. I didn’t know what kind of face I was wearing but I made sure to wear a smile just like what mom told me. She raised an eyebrow as she started scanning my whole body from my head down to my feet. “So, this is the woman you’ve been telling me about, son?” she suddenly said, looking at Damon.
“Y-Yes…”
She looked at me again, this time she was nodding. “May I know your name, darling?”
“M-My name i-is S-Sunny Peruvian, m-ma’am…”
“Sunny? Oh, what a beautiful name your parents have given you.”
I thought she would say that it didn’t suit me at all. I think I’m going to collapse in front of them now. I really hate this, everyone is looking at me…
“Oh, you are so cute! Sweetheart! Welcome to our family!!” I was surprised when she suddenly lunged onto me and embraced me so tight while planting kisses on my face too. W-What the hell is she doing?
“H-Honey, c-come on. Stop doing that, Sunny might feel awkward.” Her husband said. Damon’s mother then stopped and just put her hands around my arm instead. “I like her, dummy. I’m so proud you know how to choose a girlfriend.”
Damon then gave her an awkward smile, ”T-Thanks.”
“Nice to meet you, Sunny. I’m Cedric Furlord, Damon’s father. But you can call me dad instead.” Said the man to me. I smiled at him with her wife still clinging onto me, “And I’m Claire Furlord. But you can call me mom or mommy or momma or anything you want!”
I bowed my head to both of them, “N-Nice to meet you, Mrs. and Mr. Furlord.”
“Shall we go to the dining room and have something to eat already?” Damon suddenly said, cutting our conversation.

“So, Sunny. How’s my son as a boyfriend?” I almost choked from the steak that I was eating when Damon’s mother suddenly asked me that. Damon glared at me, and so I drunk some water before speaking again, “H-He’s good.”
“Really? Is he sweet? Does he always tell you how much he loves you? Because you know, my son is somewhat cold and snob when it comes to other people and so I’m so curious about what kind of boyfriend he is.” Said Mrs. Furlord.
Ma’am, your son is a real-life demon. Maybe the real reason why you named him Damon was because it almost sounds like demon. “H-He’s sweet. Actually, one of the reasons why I liked him was because he is SO sweet.” I said with gritted teeth.
“Really? Oh my God! So, where did you guys meet by the way?”
“We meet at his office.”
Her eyes suddenly widened, “Really? You met at his office?! How come?”
Why does she keep on asking me questions I can’t even answer?
“S-She went to my office because one of m-my friends actually introduced her to me.” Damon was the one who answered this time. Thank God. Her mom nodded, “Are you still studying, Sunny? And what are your hobbies?”
Now I feel like I’m in an interrogation session with a detective. I drunk some water again, “I-I’m still studying, and m-my hobby is to write novels and listen to music and be alone inside my room.”
Damon widened his eyes at me as if saying not to mention those things to his mom but then I didn’t mind him. “I’m actually an introvert,” I added. Everyone suddenly went quiet because of what I said but then, “HAHAHAHAHAHA!”
His mom began laughing again. People here seem to be so happy. How I wish I could be as happy as them. “I’m actually an introvert too, sweetheart! I don’t actually like being around by so many people, I don’t like being stared at, and I don’t really like mingling with others and it calms me down whenever I’m alone. Until this man right here came.” She looked at Damon’s father. “He climbed up the walls that I built between me and the people around me. He made me feel how good it is to be alone with someone who understands you, who accepts you the way you are. Someone who could appreciate you.”
I couldn’t help but smile because of what she said. How I wish I could have someone like that too. How I wish I could meet someone who will accept me the way I am. But maybe that would never happen, because the only man that I like, the only man that I wanted to be the one who will break my walls already has my sister.
