Third POV.
Even though he did not complete his words, everyone understood what he was trying to say.
“I ….I… I don’t know what you are trying to say,” Simon denied as he hid his panic.
“You don’t? Simon, we know what you are trying to do. We know that you can’t accept the fact that your daughter will be the next queen of our land. That’s why you can’t even respect Leila. You are jealous of her,” Mike said calmly but his eyes were looking at him sternly.
“You just can’t accuse me without any evidence. That’s slandering and you will get punished for slandering me,” Simon roared as he was tired of listening to Mike as he was afraid it was too late.
The other elders understood what Mike was trying to say and it was proved right when they saw his reaction. They sighed as if they had ever thought that he could really do such a thing to get a high position and become rich and respected. They even suspected that he could kill the king if he could get a chance so that he could be the king.
“Simon, you have disappointed us. You better get your daughter here now before we lock you up,” the old king said furiously.
Knowing that things might get messier than it was, Aiden looked at his mate before sighing.
“Eric, Jordan, can you take them outside? Accompany them as you show them the kingdom. Since Leila has not eaten yet and I am sure you guys also have not, you can go outside and eat,” he said calmly.
“Yes, your majesty,” they said in unison.
They gestured to the others and left the room.
The room was silent even after they left as if they were waiting for Simon to call his daughter.
Knowing that he might not convince them of anything till his daughter came, he gritted his teeth and tried to contact her through the mindlink. He was hit with a force when he tried it, making him frown as he wanted what happened.
Looking at the time, he knew that she was awake since she was not a person who loves sleep and also closed her mindlink.
“You can’t contact her, huh?” Elijah said after waiting for awhile and seeing his expression.
He could tell that something was wrong as Simon would never reacted that way if everything was fine.
Simon looked at Elijah before hesitating.
“She is very tired after what happened yesterday. She is sleeping,” he said with a smile after remembering something.
Hearing this, Aiden chuckled but his eyes turned colded. He wanted to speak or do anything but he tried his best to control his anger.
“What happened yesterday? Care to explain?” Matthew asked with a frown own his face.
“She…she… was tired after playing with Aurora at nght of course,” Simon said with a smile.
“If your daughter is fine then why were you saying that she is missing?” Matthew asked as he was confused.
“With Aurora? Aurora was here, why didn’t she say that she was Madeline before she left?” Lisa asked with a frown on her face.
“Maybe she forgot,” Simon said calmly with a smile on his fac.
“You are wasting our time. You need to be punished,” Elijah said angrily.
“Hehe! You love using my daughter as your daughter’s scapegoat, don’t you?” the old king asked.
“What do you mean, Caleb?” Simon asked the old king.
“What I mean is, I never saw your daughter here yesterday with Aurora,” the old king said.
“What are you trying to do? Did you sleep with your daughter yesterday so that you can know whether she was with my daughter or not?” Simon asked angrily, making the others lose the color on their face.
“Simon!” the old king shouted angrily as he wished he was close to him so that he could slap him.
“If you sleep with your daughter then don’t expect the others to be just like you!” Lisa said since he couldn’t stand Simon’s arrogance.
He didn’t even know what was really good for him.
“I didn't sleep with my daughter! Maybe you slept with yours. My daughter spent the night with his siblings,” the old king said.
“What? Are you now trying to say that there is something going on between your children which is a taboo? Fantastic!” Simon said, making Aiden’s face look more gloomy.
“Simon, you better keep quiet if you know what’s going for you!” Aiden said coldly, making Simon flinch.
He had forgotten that he was present and also how scary he can be when he is mad. He had always tried to be on his good side but he had never thought that he would cross him even without knowing.
“Aurora spent the night together with Leila, Elana, Marcu and Aiden. Don’t ask me how I knew about me. They were making a lot of noise and it woke me up. I followed the noise and saw them talking, arguing while laughing. Your daughter wasn’t one of them thus you better stop slandering my daughter,” the old king said angrily.
“How can that be! My daughter is here!” Simon shouted after hearing what was said.
He had a lot on his mind as he wondered what really happened. The rooms were already searched and there was no trace of her in the whole palace. He had thought that she had managed to go back home before he walked in or that she was hiding herself but he was proved wrong.
“What's wrong? And what can’t be?” Lisa asked as she raised her eyebrows.
“I am sure that he had expected Aiden to sleep with her daughter. That’s why he is shocked after hearing what Caleb said.
“Slept with her? Why would my son need to sleep with her when he already has a mate?” Caleb asked as he couldn’t understand what was going on and what they were trying to do.
“Yes, he has found his mate but since Simon can’t give up. He sent her daughter so that he could seduce Aiden. After sleeping together, Aiden will have no choice other than to reject Leila and mate with Madeline. Am I wrong, Simon?” Mike asked him with a smile on his face.
“Madeline is locked up.”
