“Run Charlie, Run!” shouts my coach.
I don’t think I can do that. All in my mind is Kezya.
“Charlie, if you don’t practice well, you won’t get into a proper college and that is what you want? Hurt all your parents and me?
“I get it, you have not got over Kezya yet, I know it is hard but it’s time to”
Why is everyone telling me that? It’s been only a week since her death and everyone says me to get over her?
“Coach, I don’t think I can do this”
His face tenses and becomes red and he asks “What?”
“I need some time. I need some time to recover”
“Fine, but if you don’t return in time your place goes to Wesley”
I know there is something I am missing about Kez. I just don’t know what I am missing.
Jack comes over and shouts “Dude, you’ve got to be kidding me. You’re the main on the team and leave your place to that douche bag Wesley?”
“I need some space”
“Yeah I get you. I am sorry”
“It’s fine”
“Hey you know what, I think you’ve to come to that party that Samara is having, I think it will cheer you up”
How can someone party if someone you love is dead? I don’t know how to act like everyone else.
Jack pulls me and gets me out of the house and into the car.
“I am not coming”
“It will make you feel better. I promise you”
I give no reaction because I am completely devastated to give one.
We reach to Samara’s house and the music is blaring. I have already lost interest going into that house and now this makes me want to throw up.
I follow Jack inside the house. It has yellow lighting and gives me an eerie feeling. I want to leave this house so bad.
It is not even ten minutes into the house and Jack is already talking to a girl.
I go further into the house and find Kendal slouched on a table. It seems like she is drunk.
She and Kendal were best friends and the people actually called them as Ken and Kez and wished they had a show about them with the same name.
I go to her, when I see her, she is completely worse than me.
Her eyes are red, her red hair is messy and she smells like vomit.
When she sees me, she hugs me and starts to cry.
“She is gone, Charlie. She is gone. I should have helped her as a friend”
At least, there is one person who remembers to mourn for her.
“We weren’t there when she needed us, Charlie!”
Tears wells up in my eyes but I can’t lose my shit in front this huge amount of people.
“I miss her too” Is all I can manage to say.
Her sobs are all over my t-shirt but I don’t care. After a few moments, Kendal throws up all over me.
I run upstairs to clean myself. I enter the bathroom and two girls that I don’t recognize are talking.
“I surely know she was cheating on Charlie, I think that is why she killed herself and…….” A girl with blonde hair is saying this all to her friend and stops. Both of them leave the room when she sees me.
They have already left the place before I could ask anything. I know they are talking about Kez.
Kez was cheating on me? No, no, no! She wouldn’t do that I know she loved me she would not do that behind my back.
I clean myself but all in my mind is that girl’s voice saying.... ‘I surely know she was cheating on Charlie’
I run downstairs to find that girls but I can’t find them. I can’t find Ken too. I ask a couple of people to know where she is but the first thing they say to me is ‘Sorry about Kez’ and then reply for the question I asked.
Seems like she left but she is drunk as hell and who drove her home?
I find a place where no one is crowded or making noises. I sit by the bench in backyard.
I haven’t checked my mail for days; maybe I should do that to relax myself. So I take out my phone and go to my inbox and find about twenty emails but one the catches my attention is a mail from the user HonneyDead3541. I click it immediately and it shows me a link to site that is actually blocked.
Sweat is trickling in my palms.
I go home immediately and open my inbox on my laptop and this time to link doesn’t block me and a picture is loading. The picture shows up after loading for fifteen minutes.
It is Kezya, but she is with someone else.
She is with a guy. Maybe that girl was right.
