Returning from my meeting, I sank down into my office chair, turning to stare out of the floor to ceiling windows that sevrved for walls along one side of my office.
I looked out over the city and found my mind wondering to Kenzie. I couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't come to see me about a job.
I had made sure every potential job had turned her down.
It was the only way to make sure she came to me.
But it had been a week and still, there had been no sign of her.
Did she hate me after what had happened years ago on her twenty-first birthday?
I thought back to that night, the way her shirt black dress had clung to every part of her body. The way her legs looked so long with those heels on her feet.
But what stood out more was the feel of her soft skin against mine.
I shook my head, Caleb was a fool for cheating on her. She was young and beautiful, she had a good heart. There was no reason to fuck it up.
But, no, my son didn't fall very far from the tree it appeared, and instead of thinking with his head, he allowed his dick to control him.
I was being slightly hypocritical, because I was well known for doing the very same thing. But the difference was that I was upfront and honest about it.
The women I was with knew that I wouldn't be offering them rainbows and happily ever afters.
Caleb lied to them, he made them think he would never do that to them. And then he crushed them and left them wondering if there was something wrong with them.
Just thinking about it angered me.
Kenzie had been so upset that night at her party. She has found Caleb with another woman, right there in our house. In their bed.
I could still remember Caleb rushing around looking for her. I had wanted to put my fist in his face when he told me what he had done.
But I didn't, because finding Kenzie had been more important to me.
I found her in the bathroom, a sobbing mess.
She had been curled up with tears and mascara running down her face.
"Mr. Grimes."
I was pulled from my thoughts as I turned to Hilda, the secretary my father had hired for me. She was an older and very stern woman. I had fucked my way through all of my previous secretaries, so he had decided to do this in the hopes of stopping me.
Hilda was like a second mother to me, but that didn't stop me from having fun with the interns who came in. Much to Hilda and my father's annoyance.
"What is it, Hilda?"
"Your father is on line two."
I picked up the phone, "Father, good to hear from you." I lied. It was never good to hear from him.
"What we're you doing at that no good club?"
"Last week? Business meeting, you know some of our clients like to have fun."
"Do you have any idea how I have to threaten the press not to run with these stories?"
"Why do you care? I certainly don't. Everyone knows exactly who and what I am. God, I'm in my fifties, I don't want or need you badgering me."
"Yes! You are in your fifties, but instead of settling down and acting your age, you think you can carry on acting like a teenager!"
I hung up on him.
And just to piss him off, I would be going to the club again tonight. I knew Cherry was always happy to see me.
My father and I had always had a rocky relationship due to my womanising ways.
But he was mistaken if he thought they were going to change any time soon.
I got up to go home and get freshened up for the night before heading out.
When I got to the club, I took my usual seat and waited for my drink while admiring the girls dancing on stage.
There was something artistic about them in my opinion.
Of course, the fact that they looked amazing and got naked had something to do with my enjoyment.
I noticed Cherry was busy with a client, some fat old man who looked like he may just have a heart attack from her moves.
I chuckled, I may be old, but I looked nothing like that.
I could pass for mid forties at least and kept myself in good shape.
"Tonight, we are announcing our new dancer! Be nice, she's still a bit nervous. Welcoming Sultry Sundae to the floor!" The announcer boomed over the microphone.
This got my attention, I was interested to see what this new girl had to offer.
But as she walked out onto the stage my heart lept into my throat.
Kenzie walked out in a tiny lingerie set and sky high heels.
I jumped to my feet in surprise and anger at the thought of all these men staring at her barely clothed.
What the fuck was she doing working here?
She walked over to the pole and froze as our eyes met.
"Get down here right now!" I shouted, not caring if I caused a scene.
Kevin, the owner came over to me, "Mr. Grimes, please. What has gotten into you?"
Shit.
"I, uh, before she dances up there, I want her to join me."
Kevin seemed surprised, "Sorry? She isn't experienced, Cherry will be done in-"
"Did I stutter, Kevin? Or would you rather I have this place shit down?"
His eyes widened, he knew I had enough power to do it.
"I'll see what I can do."
I watched him go over and speak to her while I tried to keep my anger in check.
She was shaking her head a lot.
She must have needed the money to be doing this. She had always been very shy, so I couldn't imagine any other reason she would be here.
I walked over to them and threw a wad of notes down, "VIP room. Now."
I walked towards the rooms. I knew Kevin would send her in, he knew better than to piss me off.
