Brian's Pov
After the nurse took about two litres of my blood, I head back to meet everyone still standing outside the ICU passage.
"Where you able to give them your blood and how are you feeling?" My mum asked.
"I don't even care about myself right now mum, I just want my wife and unborn baby to be safe and okay." I answered trying to control myself from breaking down.
"They're both gonna make it out safely, have fate son." She uttered and patted my back before going back to sit next to Chloe's mum while my dad and Chloe's dad were just speechless but looked worried and tensed.
"Sure mum, they will be alright." I replied and Aaron who was standing right next to me engulf me tightly.
Chloe's Pov
I felt myself dying from inside and not having the feeling I am still on earth. I felt I was in some kind of magical realm yet felt like a dream. It was a dream, a beautiful dream where I found a set of cute triplet, two boys who so much looked like Brian from the hair colour, his grey eyes and his cute smile and for the girl, she looked as me with her beautiful blonde hair and sea blue eyes looking so sharp and radiant just as mine.
I saw them all along with Brian and I together as we both were watching them playing together smiling and laughing with one another in the garden in our mansion as Brian and I were sited on a well spread piece of cloth having picnic. The dream felt so real and heart warming and never ending.
"She's responding, get the syringe containing the antidote for the poison fast. It our only chance to save her and the babies." I heard a distant voice yelled which sounded like an echo making it looks he was referring to me.
I found it strange as Brian and our kids were nowhere in sight again just only me standing in a dark unknown place.
"Where am I and where is Brian and the kids?" I asked myself trying to process what was happening and whose voice I heard as echo when I felt a sharp pain like something was inflected to my belly making me open up my eyes widely.
"She's finally back with us." An old man dressed in white coat with three ladies dressed in the same cloth as the thought came to me, the old man is the doctor and the ladies are the nurses.
I remembered how I lost consciousness on Brian's arm after taking the milk Mrs Harley made for me but when I saw Kortney smiling, it then occured to me she did something to the drink which I still don't get why she did that to me. If it was to get back at me for not liking her or something else.
"It really a miracle you survived a very deadly poison with your babies but it all over. It will be okay now since we have administered the antidote into your system. All you need is to take enough rest and you'll be back on your feet very fast." The doctor uttered with a pause and added, "your triplets are safe and sound. Congratulations madam, you really are a fighter."
"You mean I'm carrying three babies?" I asked him to be sure of what I heard him uttered.
"Yes, you're gonna have three wonderful kids. Congratulations on surviving and as a mother of triplet." He added and left while the nurses were cleaning the stain of blood all over my body.
Once I get hold of Kortney, heaven knows what I will do to her. She will regret ever coming into my life and trying to kill me and my unborn babies for her selfish interest.
Brian's Pov
It was taking like forever as the operation was taking so much time which begins to scare the living outta me until the doctor finally came outta the room removing his hand gloves and nose mask.
"How is the operation? Is my wife and unborn baby both safe?" I rushed the questions to him as both my mum and Chloe's mum were still in tears unable to utter any words.
"Is the operation fruitful, let us know how my daughter's condition is and her babies." Mrs West uttered still in tears.
"The operation is a success, both mother and her triplet are all safe now. She is really a fighter to have survive the dangerous poison she took into her body." He answered as the heaviness I was feeling left all my body and feeling so much happy she's carrying triplet: three babies in her belly, our babies made by all the constant sex. I'm so much grateful she fought her way for our babies.
That bitch I helped dropped a dangerous poison in my wife's drink to have she and my babies, my first set of children killed but it can't work.
"Thank you so much doctor, can we all see her now?" I asked unable to meet her.
"Y'all can see her but not all at once also she's really weak so she needs a lot of rest she can get." He explained.
"Okay doctor, thank you once again." Dad uttered to him and hand over a cheque to him which he took and smiled.
"Thank you so much Mr Lincoln." He replied with an head bow and left.
"I want to be the first to see her, please." I uttered
"You can go see her son, we all will stay back." Dad responded giving me the go ahead and I walked towards the door.
I walked inside and saw the nurses cleaning up her body as her eyes was closed with her face already pale and dull.
I caused all this for her, she wouldn't have being in this condition if it didn't make the wrong idea of bringing Kortney into our lives without confiding in her. No matter what I want to do I should have informed her before taking an action as that but now I have learnt my lesson the hard way by endangering her life and our babies.
I run my hand on her cheek and she opened her eyes slowly to see me standing close to her.
"Honey" She called placing her hand around my hand on her face.
"How are you feeling baby?" I asked with a long sigh and added, "any of this wouldn't have happened if I had listened to your advise on letting go of Kortney outta our lives. I'm terrible sorry honey for not being protective of you and our babies."
"I'm feeling better also we're gonna have triplet darling, isn't it so exciting." She responded smiling.
"It is honey, I'm so happy for us." I replied smooching her pale face.
"It wasn't your fault darling so don't feel bad about anything besides the babies and I are all safe that's what matters now." She uttered rubbing her bump and pulled my hand to touch her bump.
"Yes, y'all are what matters to me most also that bitch will pay so dearly." I stated with gritted teeth.
"Baby let leave that to the law." She uttered and I nod.
I will leave it to the law like she has said but I'll make sure the bitch rot in jail for the rest of her life.
