Aria
There were a lot of customers today but thankfully. I have a long break. I removed my apron while walking to the counter so I can choose a cake.
I chose Oreo cheesecake and I took a sit near the counter.
I was slicing the cake when the door chimes. A new customer was coming in. I didn't bother to look up because Brent is in charge of that thing.
I was about to put the cake into my mouth when I heard a familiar squeal.
Luke.
"Mommy... Mommy..." Luke's voice.
I am not wrong. I saw Luke came running to me.
My baby.
I kneeled down to catch him and picked him up. I kissed his forehead and little lips.
I miss my baby so much.
"Miss you, mommy." He said softly.
He wrapped his arms tightly into my neck.
"Mommy misses you a lot baby," I whispered back.
I looked up to see who is with him, anger and pain started to rise up.
Lucas, his eyes were tired and red bloodshot.
I averted my eyes quickly. I missed them so much. I didn't want to cry so I bit my lip hard.
"Aria." He said softly.
I didn't answer.
Luke pulled out and I gave him a slice of cheesecake his favorite.
He giggled at me.
"Home, home, home." He said suddenly. I know what that means.
"Sorry baby, mommy won't go back home anymore," My voice broke.
"Aria." I heard Lucas warned.
Luke started to cry.
"No... Mommy...no..." He cried out and started to kick his legs.
I hugged him tightly, tears continuously flowing, I can’t hold it back.
Pain and heaviness in my heart.
"I need to do it, baby. " I whispered.
I positioned Luke into my lap as he cried harder.
"You know what baby," I said and wiped my tears away.
"You can visit mommy in my house baby. Just tell your Auntie Leticia. She knows it." I said softly.
"Mommy...home...." He said sadly.
I can't baby. I am so sorry.
I put my shirt a little up and held Luke's little hand. I put it on my stomach.
"Mommy will have a baby like you, Luke." A tear slipped into my eyes, remembering that I was about to surprise Lucas.
"You will have a baby brother or sister," I said, sobbing.
"Ba...by.baby," he said, tapping my stomach.
"Yes, baby. Mommy has a baby inside my stomach." He hugged me tightly and I soothed his back
"You are pregnant," Lucas said in a whisper, something like he knows putting up into pieces.
I looked to see his innocent blue orbs.
"Yes sir." I said and his eyes turned cold by calling him "sir".
I faked my smile.
"Unfortunately. My husband didn't saw it. I decorated his place to surprise him, that I am pregnant. I effort to went to his office to pick him up but ended miserably. I saw him and his ex-wife hugging each other. He curses me right in front of his ex-wife and asks me to leave." I said boldly.
"What a husband right sir?" I asked him sarcastically.
"Aria." He tried to touch me but I avoid it.
"No," I said harshly.
"Can we talk?" He asked softly.
"No."
I gave back Luke to him.
"No...Mommy..." He started to cry again and reached his arms to me.
"Just go Lucas. I need to go back to work." I said softly.
I can't hold my tears back.
"Mommy no.!!!!!!" Luke started to cry. All the customers’ eyes were on us.
"Sorry baby. Mommy needs to work." I sobbed and lastly kissed his lips and forehead.
"Aria...please" I heard Lucas saying but I walked away.

I was walking to my home. When I saw a man standing in front of my door.
I hurriedly walked fast until I reached my house.
Lucas.
"Why are you here?" I asked seriously. I got my keys and unlocked my door.
I got in and he followed me.
"Your house is so cozy." He said softly.
"Yeah, thankfully, I have a house or I will end up on streets," I said seriously.
"Can we talk?" He asked softly.
Again!
I sat on my bed.
"For what?"
"For us." He said.
I laughed humorlessly.
"There is no us Lucas, the day I left your house. I am no more. Go find a girl that will love you more than I do. Go find a girl that you will open to her. Go find a girl that will satisfy you. I am letting you go." My voice broke.
Am I letting him go? Or is it just that I am the only one believing that he was mine before?
"I already find her," he said softly.
"Oh, congrats to you. You may leave." I said sternly.
"She is here." He said in a whisper.
Me.
"Not again! Lucas. I had enough. I am tired. I am so done with you." I screamed.
He just looked at me. Those innocent eyes again.
"Leave Lucas. I just got home from work. I need to rest." I demanded
I stood up and walked to open the door for him.
"Can we talk tomorrow?" He asked.
"I don't know, just leave, please... Leave me alone."
He stood up and wrapped his arms around my waist.
I wiggled but he gripped more tightly.
This man is a wall. 1000%
"I will be back." He said and kissed the top of my head.
He left.
I slumped my back to the wall and fell on the floor then I cried my heart out.

Lucas
When I got home, I hurriedly go to Leticia's room where they are staying.
"What's up?" She asked me.
"Is it true? " She looked at me confused.
"She is pregnant and tried to surprise me?" I asked softly.
Not that, I don’t trust her,
She nodded and reached for her phone.
"Here take a look." She said, giving me the phone.
I froze. It’s true. The room was full of balloons. Aria and her were smiling.
I feel myself got weak. The phone in my hand slipped.
"If you want her back, prove to her that she deserves you and prove to her that you love her." She said and tapped my shoulder.
"But how? I love her." I whispered.
She sighed and sat in front of me, shaking her head in disagreement with what I have done.
"Make time for her, show how you can be a husband to her, open up to her like how was your day, explain to her the time she saw you and Chloe, and tell her what is going on in your mind if you are angry, sad, or happy. I will take care of and watch out for Luke. "
Right!
