Kayden's POV
"Your highness" one of the maids walked into my study room, and prostrated before me.
"Yes," I replied to her, not getting up from my chair.
"There is a lady here to see you. She said she is princess Emma's lawyer" the maid said timidly, using her eyes to scan the room. Looking for nothing in particular.
"Ok, send her in," I waved her off.
Lawyer? Why would Emma get a lawyer?.
"Nice to meet you prince Kayden '' I saw a tall elegant woman walk into my study room.
"That's good, but will I be saying the same about you? Please take a sit" I offered her to sit down, so she could get comfortable.
"Princess Emma has decided to file lawsuits against you and your wife" the lady spoke softly, and I could only smile at her statement. It sounded like something Emma would do.
I have known Emma for quite some time now, and whenever she doesn't get what she wants, she goes to extreme lengths, and she cheats her way out.
"And what kind of lawsuits does she want to file?" I asked the lawyer, and dropped my pen on the table before I looked deep into her eyes.
She looked at me for a while, and then averted her gaze almost immediately.
"Fraud, impersonation and defamation" she dropped the bombshell, before she bit her lips and closed her legs tightly.
She was trying to hold herself back, but I knew she wouldn't be able to keep it up for long.
"Okay, defamation and impersonation, I can understand but fraud?" I looked very confused. How can she even accuse me of such? I am wealthier than everybody in her kingdom combined.
"My client claims that you used the wedding as an excuse to defraud her.
She wants 500 million dollars as compensation, and also to pay for damages, if you are able to pay then she will drop the charges against you but if not then she would push through.
And as for your wife, she plans on pushing further with the case against her, whether or not you pay the money" she spoke and then took a deep breath.
I stood up from my chair and went over to her.
"But you will help me right? So that neither me or my wife gets in trouble?" I brushed my lips against hers and whispered in her mouth.
