Zamiel's POV
With my legs and hands crossed, I leaned by the door watching her sob close to Kayden's unconscious body.
"You are just hurting yourself for no real reason. Kayden is going to be fine" I tried to assure Heaven.
But, she didn't pay attention to any of my words. As she just raised her head with tears in her eyes.
"When will he open his eyes again? I want him to talk to me" Her voice broke, and it also broke me as well.
"I don't know, maybe soon I guess" My eyes flickered, and she sneered, turning away from me.
I couldn't watch her kill herself like that. I had to walk out of the hospital. But the fear in her eyes also got to me. Kayden and Hannah were in the same condition. What will happen if Hannah doesn't wake up?
Heaven's POV
"Why are you doing this Imogen? Stop it please" I ran after the maids throwing my bags out of the room.
"Don't you ever dare to address me like that again? I am a princess, and you should address me as one" She held her head high, and I couldn't understand what was going on.
"Okay, princess Imogen. Why are you throwing my bags out of this room" I took a deep breath, talking to her in a very calm and composed manner.
"Because I want to stay here. And since Kayden isn't here, it's my castle and I can decide whatever I want to do with it" She smirked.
"So, where do I stay?" I asked her.
"I don't care, you can leave with one of the maids, or the guards. But, I do not want to see you anywhere near any of the guest rooms. I don't want you stinking up the place, with your odor '' she said so firmly, while pinching the bridge of her nose. As if she had indeed perceived an offensive smell.
"I don't think I stink…" A drop of tears ran down my eye, as I sniffed myself.
"You can say that, maybe after you have taken a good shower" she brushed me, nearly pushing me to the ground.
If Kayden had been here, she wouldn't even dare to look at me twice, not to talk more of throwing me out of my room.
I picked up my things and made my way to the quarters meant for the servants, and none of them accepted me.
They were either too many in a room or didn't want to share any personal space.
I had no choice but to move out of the castle, I went back to my mum, and she was not welcoming either.
Imogen's POV
"Are you crazy?" Zamiel was quick to tell me when he found out that I had moved into Kayden's room.
"What kind of silly question is that? Do I look crazy to you?" I questioned him, getting up from Kayden's bed.
Oh, how this bed gives me warmth and comfort, the sweet memories attached to this bed are simply amazing.
"Imogen, you are disgusting!" He spat out.
"Coming from you, that should be a compliment, not an insult" I laughed, and he grabbed me by the wrist.
"Zamiel, people will see us stop" I blushed, getting the information he was trying to pass wrongly.
"You better go find Heaven and bring her here or else…" he threatened me.
"Or else what? When are you going to stop lusting over your cousin's wife? For goodness sake, she is married, get over her" I taunted him, just as he was taunting me.
He remained quiet and released me slowly, then he walked to the door.
"You are going to regret this, believe me you will surely cry after this. And this time, I won't be there to save you, I won't help you, neither I'm I going to fight for you. Because you brought it upon yourself" he warned me, and slammed the door so hard.
His words sent chills down my spine, for only thirty seconds. Zamiel talks nonsense sometimes, I swallowed hard, trying to convince myself that everything was okay.
"He is probably out of his mind," I thought to myself and shook my head.
Heaven's POV
"You can't stay here " My mum suddenly woke me up in the middle of the night.
"But why? I thought you said you have forgiven me" I reminded her, while trying to wipe my face with my hand, so I could feel less sleepy.
"I have changed my mind" She looked away from me. I turned to look at the wall clock, and it was just midnight.
"Mum, it's fine. I'll go tomorrow" I used my blanket to cover myself.
"No, I want you out of my house this moment. As in, right now!" She sounded so rude and made it obvious that she wasn't giving me a choice.
"Where do you expect me to go now?" I asked her, with my eyes wide open, and now fully awake.
"Go back to your husband's house I guess" she sounded very sarcastic.
"You know that I can't do that right now Mum" I yawned, turning my face away from her.
"But, you were quick to marry him because of money. You didn't seek my permission before getting married. And I wasn't part of the wedding either, you completely abandoned your sister and I. And you show up here, all of a sudden expecting me to welcome you with open arms. Young lady, take your things and leave my house. I don't ever want to see your face again!" She pointed at the door.
"I can explain Mom" I tried to calm her down, but she was already too pissed to be reasoned with. And it already seemed like she had her mind completely made up.
"I know, but I am not interested in your explanation. I give you just two hours to get your things out of this house. Or else, I am going to call the cops and tell them that there is an intruder in my house" she yelled at me.
"Mum, I'm your daughter," I reminded her.
"My daughter died on your wedding day. I don't ever want to see your face again. Leave my house!" She whispered this time, with her upper and lower teeth tightly shut. probably because she didn't want to wake up my little sister.
Tears rushed down my eyes almost immediately. With a sharp pain in my chest, and a big lump that formed in my throat. I couldn't talk, I could barely make sense of anything that was going on.
I dragged my heavy feet to the wardrobe, brought my clothes, and slowly organized them in my bag, hoping that my mum was going to change her mind, yet she didn't. Instead, she helped me to bring out my clothes, shoving them inside my bag.
She even went as far as dragging my bag, and throwing it, just the way Imogen did.
I ran after her, and she shut the door right in my face, immediately I was outside.
Great, I had nowhere to go. I should have known my life wasn't so beautiful. Now, I realize that Kayden Was the best thing that has ever happened to me.
