Divya POV

After talking to pari maa on the phone, I went into my bedroom and started cursing Daksh. Dad and I decided to go to dine at their home. I hate him a lot. He always tries to control me and order me around. I don't like when people order me or force things upon me. I like to be free and independent. I do only those things which I like and not what others want me to do, and I'll never forget what he did that night. He literally tried to rap....
"No! No! Don't go there" My mind voice warned me. I sighed.
I laid on my bed, and for god knows how many hours I decided to watch TV in my room.
After some hours, I looked at the time to see it's already 6:00 pm. I went inside the walk-in closet and got ready wearing a blue knee-length dress. Leaving my hair down, I applied some lip gloss and headed downstairs.
"I'm ready, Dad" I announced and dad nodded his head.
"Let's go then doll" Dad told and shoved his phone into his pocket, getting up.
We went to our car. We put on our seat belts and drove off to the pari maa's house. I was really very excited.
I turned on the radio as I love to listen to songs. My friends told me that I have an amazing voice. When I feel sad, I always sing to escape my sadness.
We reached pari maa's house, and dad parked our car in the parking. We got out of the car when the dad's phone started ringing. Dad asked me to go in first. I ran excitedly. I stood in front of the door and rang the bell. I silently went to other sides and opened the window above the door. I saw pari maa nearing to open the door. I grinned mischievously.
The front door flung open. I immediately jumped in excitement and hugged pari maa tightly.
"I missed you so much! I love you" I told and kissed her cheek, closing my eyes happily.
I really missed my pari maa.
Even so, I feel pari maa not reacting to my hug. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a man back side, and he is wearing black suit.
OMG! I'm hugging a man!
I felt all my blood rushing up to my heart, causing it to beat faster than ever because our close proximity. Tiny electrifying sensations traveled down my spine. Suddenly, his hands wrapped around my waist holding me tightly against his chest. His hands are skimming, caressing my bare back.
I raised my head in shock and looked up his eyes. I saw those beautiful black eyes staring at me admiringly. His gaze moved down to my lips. And I saw his face clearly.
"Daksh??" I gasped and mentally scolded myself for hugging him.
I gulped loudly before flatting my palm against his chest pushing him. Reluctantly, he released me and I slowly took three steps backwards, staring at him.
He wasn't at all of what I expected. He was too gorgeous. His face was perfect. He was tall. Black hair and jet black eyes that make me want to lose myself staring at them. His body was incredible too. He was wearing a black suit which hugged his abs perfectly.
He was so handsome!
Suddenly, I heard his groaning, and I broke my thoughts.
I looked at him and found him staring back at me, with lust filled eyes. I hate people who stare girls with lust. I disgust them.
"You j**k! What the f**k are you staring at?" I growled at him. He glared at me.
"Oh! I'm staring at your ugly body, Shorty" He smirked at me.
What? Shorty?? How dare he?
"How dare you j***k?" I shouted at him. Before he could speak anything, I was crushed into a tight hug by none other than my pari maa.
"Doll, I missed you so much! You have grown so beautiful!" Pari maa said affectionately.
"Pari maa, I missed you so much. You are looking more beautiful than me" I pouted.
"No one will ever be more beautiful than my Angel" Akash uncle said and hugged me.
"How are you Divya? How is my princess doing?" Uncle asked me.
"I'm excellent uncle and your princess is doing outstanding. She will come after completing her studies" I told him. Dad joined us.
We entered the house. Uncle asked us to sit on the sofa, and I was forced to sit beside Daksh since there wasn't any other enough place to sit. Our knees were touching but I quickly moved my knee. It got really awkward.
After a few minutes, we started talking happily. I didn't talk with a single word to that j**k, but I could sense him staring at me intently.
"Divya, what are you planning to do further?" uncle asked me.
"I want to fulfill my mom's wish. So, I decided to do modeling. Tomorrow I'm going to start my job hunt" I told uncle.
"Great Divya, but you don't have to search for any other company. You can join our company because even we are in want of a model for our new project. I think you will perfect model for our clothing project. What do you say Daksh?" Uncle asked Daksh.
I know he is going to reject and insult me in front of everyone.
"Yes Dad, she will be perfect" Daksh said, and I looked at him, shocked but he just smirked at me.
Why do I feel as if he is planning something against me but little he didn't know that I'm Divya Mathur, and I don't allow anyone to mess with me. I will stand against his every conspiracy. I mentally smirked.
"Great, you can join tomorrow as our new model" Uncle said, and I nodded my head.
"Well, it's time for dinner. Let's go" Pari maa said and stood up, followed by the other family members.
We were all settled down at the table. Daksh was sitting beside me, and my dad was on the other side. Uncle and pari maa were sitting in front of us. Pari maa started to serve us the dinner.
"Why is he sitting beside me?" I mumbled under my breath, but much to my dismay. He heard it.
"Because I want to irritate you sweetheart" He smirked at me.
"Idiot! What's up with you and the change in nicknames? And don't call me sweetheart" I hissed at him. But he grinned at me smugly.
"No talking at the dinner table" Uncle ordered, and we closed our mouths.
We finished eating our dinner silently. Pari maa made all my favorite dishes. I missed her and her cooking a lot. I felt great around pari maa family. I'm really glad that I finally met them all. Even so, I regret meeting Daksh of course.
"I wish Ritika was here. I miss my best friend so much" Pari maa said with tears rolling down her cheeks. Daksh hugged her immediately and consoled her. The environment was very gloomy. Everyone missed my mom. I love her a lot.
We bid our farewell to everyone as we sat in our car and drove off.
Soon we reached our home, and I went straight to my bedroom. I kicked my shoes off as I stripped off my clothes and changed into my night dress. I laid down on my bed.
Suddenly, I heard a beep sound from my phone. I opened my phone and saw a new message from unknown number. I clicked the text.
Sweetheart, don't be late for office.

I was stunned to see his message. I was angry. How dare he send me a kiss emoji?. I saved his number in my phone. As soon as his profile loaded. I clicked on his profile picture, and I saw him immaculately decked in a black tuxedo. He looks so handsome and sexy as a Greek God in his profile picture.
“Stop!” I scolded myself.
'How did you get my number? ' I messaged him.
'I have my source'. He replied back.
I think, He might get my phone number from pari maa. I sighed.
That night I slept peacefully. I hope I'm strong enough to face Daksh. I sighed and drifted off to sleep.

I want to walk out of his office, but I can't insult Akash uncle. So I controlled my anger. This is my chance to fulfill my Mom dream.
