Divya POV

I started walking towards his cabin. I waited outside while my heart started beating erratically. I slowly opened the door. A crack was heard, and I peeked in the cabin. My heart stopped for a minute looking at his miserable state. I was too harsh with him.
I was very scared to go to near him. Because last time I went to ask his forgiveness, and he kissed the hell out of me. It was a terrifying experience. I gulped.
I opened the door wide. I walked in and started apologizing to him.
"I—I'm sorry Da—Daksh. I truly apologize for my mistake. I'm very very sorry for my actions. What I did was very wrong" I stammered.
He slowly raised his face and our eyes locked, but I couldn't see any emotion on his face. His face was completely blank. He was looking at me, but still I didn't see any emotion. I took in a deep breath.
"I’m sorry for misunderstanding you. You know I did not mean to slap you. That’s why I am humbling down myself to ask for your forgiveness. I promise I will never do it again" I told him, crying. And he just stared deeply into my eyes.
I continued my apologize, "I’m sorry for blaming you when everyone in that studio room knows that it was my fault. I felt ashamed for what I’ve done. Please forgive me. Please" I begged him.
He suddenly stood up from his seat and started walking towards me. I got scared. I just want to disappear from this world. However, I remained glued to my place because I want his forgiveness so badly. This guilt is killing me. He was getting closer and stopped walking. Now he is standing just two steps away from me. He was looking blankly at me. I waited for his abuses but to my shock, he didn't say anything.
I continued, "I am really sorry for what I’ve done. I know I messed up a big time. Please tell me how to make it right. I'm ready to do anything for your forgiveness" I asked him.
Still his face was devoid of any expression. I can't read his emotions from the look on his face. I sighed.
'I think he needs time to forgive me' I thought myself.
"I’m sorry if my presence bothers you. I’m apologetic if I gave you too many headaches. I'm leaving. I hope you will feel better now" I told him sadly and turned around to leave.
Suddenly, his arms were wrapped around my waist, pinning my arms to the sides. I gasped as he pinned me against the wall.
I was breathing hard. My heart was beating fast because of our close proximity. Our breathing got mingled. His eyes were boring into mine, deeply. I can't look into his eyes. So I was staring down at his shoes. I was trembling like hell now.
"Look at me" I heard his voice coming out like a request.
Even so, I didn't look at him. I was still looking down. He lifted my chin between his thumb and forefinger and tilted my head upwards. I looked into those mesmerizing black eyes.
"I know I hurt you. But I will do anything for your forgiveness. If you’d give me another chance, I promise I will never disappoint you again Daksh" I told him with tears rolling down my eyes.
"You will do anything for my forgiveness?" He asked me. I nodded my head.
"Promise?" He asked narrowing his eyes.
"Yes promise" I said without thinking twice because I just want his forgiveness. Suddenly, his eyes lingered on my lips.
Oh god! Is he going to ask me a kiss?
He brushes his fingers against my lips ever so softly. I closed my eyes feeling his touch.
Seven years ago, I buried my love. But how can his small touch can bring back that same feeling?
"Smile" He whispered, leaning close to my ears. I immediately opened my eyes.
Smile? But I thought he was asking me for a kiss.
"What??" I asked, looking confused.
"I just want to see you smile. I exactly want to see you happy. It hurts too much to see you cry. I hate it when you cry. So please smile for me, sweetheart" He said. I looked at him with stunned expression.
"Why you want me to smile? Why you want to see me happy? I slapped you and humiliated you in front of your staffs. Yet why do you want me to smile. Why?" I asked him in disbelief.
"I don't know. I just don't know sweetheart" He said and put his forehead on mine.
"Daksh" I whispered.
"Shhh doll. Please smile for me. I will forgive you" He requested to me. I can't ignore his request.
So I smiled for him. For his forgiveness. He was looking at me admiringly.
"F**k, you are driving me crazy sweetheart" He said and pulled me against his chest.
Our breaths were heavy now. Our hearts were beating so fast. I can feel our hearts glued to each other beating in the same rate. Our heartbeats were now playing their own rhythms. I shyly pushed him but he again pinned me to the wall. He rested on both his hands on the wall to block the path of my escaping. He leaned in slowly, never moving his eyes from mine.
Then realization dawned on me. He is going to kiss me!
No! No! No! He can't kiss me.
Before his lips could touch mine, I immediately bent my head and passed under his arm. I quickly went out of the office. I ran to the washroom, breathing hard. I placed my hand on my heart to calm it down. It was beating crazily. Never have I experienced something like this. I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
Oh my god! I was blushing. I placed both my hands on my cheeks and rubbed them.
"Why Divya? How can you let him kiss you?" I asked myself, frustratingly as I paced to and fro in the washroom.
He is just playing with my heart. He can't do this to me.
"Get a grip of yourself Divya! You're a brave girl, and you can't be weak now. Don't give in to him!" I pep talk to myself as I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
I opened the washroom door and got out. I think I have no more work now. So I left the office and went to my home. I laid down on my bed, remembering his words.
"I just want to see you smile. I just want to see you happy. It hurts too much to see you cry. I hate it when you cry. So please smile for me doll" His words were replaying my mind like a broken recorder.
Urghh! This is irritating!
"Daksh Mehra, what are doing to me?" I thought myself and drifted into sleep.

Precap - "Don't be afraid, sweetheart. I will never let anything happen to you, as long as I am alive" Daksh said. I don't know why but I felt safe when I am with him.
