On coming to my room, I settled in the chair after locking the door as fast as I could. It was pretty obvious that my curiosity was ruling over me to know what pictures were there in the photo album which I got from there. It wasn’t going to be possible for me to go through all of the books, notebooks, diaries, and the albums that were kept in that storage, but I was going to see as much as I could from there without anyone getting to know it.
Once I settled in, I took a long breath before I opened the album. From the inside, it looked relatively of the recent times. As I started seeing the pictures, I couldn’t believe any of the ones which I saw. I blinked a couple of times just to be sure if that was really him.
The first few were of Mr. Lozano in bed with a new girl in every single picture. It was evident for Charles to have lived that kind of a lifestyle, but preserving all of his special moments in bed with so many different girls was quite disturbing.
I turned the pages faster to see if all the pictures inside it were of the same kind, and I wasn’t shocked to see that they were all the same. All of them had Charles in bed with his manhood covered, but the girls displaying their assets in full glory.
That got me to think if the girls were comfortable in getting their pictures clicked in that particular way with Charles, but then I remembered that there are many gold diggers out there who would do anything for money. And for Charles it wasn’t a difficult deal to do such a thing as it was certain that he must have had plenty of girls.
Pictures of Charles with different women in bed, each one in a different position and everyone posing differently. It was completely unbelievable for me to imagine him being this kinky. Doing something was one such thing, but actually preserving memories of such nasty moments was creepy to another level for me.
The worst of all was that I chose to see all the pictures, but once I was done flipping every photograph, I couldn’t have unseen them. I wanted to put that album back, so I did that and put it in exactly the same position. Even though I wanted to see more of the diaries that were inside the little storage, I was reluctant to pick any of them up because of the fear of finding something that would spoil my mood.
While I was remembering that time when I finished that stupid task which I was doing back then, and came back to my room, I was brought back to the present with my phone ringing. Not seeing it on the bed where I was sitting, quickly, I rushed to pick it up from the table it was lying on.
Having a different ringtone set for Charles makes me aware of when he is calling. This way I can miss whoever’s call but not my husband’s call. Once I pick up my phone from the table, I cross-check the name of the caller, and the smile that captures my face is the reason I am married to this man. I answer the call immediately, and I say, “Yes, my love.”
“I am leaving from New York for Seattle, but I might have to stop in Kansas City. Three days are going to be very hectic for me, so don’t worry about me, sweetheart. You take care of yourself, and I will come to you on Friday late at night to spend the weekend with you. Is it all right?” Charles responded all at once with everything that I needed to know.
Having no reason to ask him anything else, I reply, “Take care of yourself, and I miss you. Continue having a safe trip. I love you, hubby.”
"I love you too, my wifey. Thank you for marrying me.”
“Thank you for proposing. Okay now, bye. I am waiting for you.”
“Ha-ha. Bye, baby.”
Charles has a habit of thanking me for everything. Every time he thanks me for something, I reciprocate in the same manner because I feel shy in accepting anyone being grateful to me. Besides, had he not proposed to me, I wouldn’t have been married to him because I did not possess the courage to ask him out even when I started to like him for real after I had recently started living with him in his house.
Now that I am sure that my darling husband will not be returning before the weekend, I have enough time to do what I have planned. So, maybe a small break from all this stuff can help me put myself together, and then I can resume my work to find my husband’s diary which lists the things that he wished for in a girl when he grew up.
In the time that I was unwinding in the garden outside, the thought of checking up on Erica came to me. She has played a vital role in Charles and I getting married. Despite the fact that I wanted to be with Charles, I mean, who wouldn’t want to be with a guy who is sorted, emotionally balanced, mature, and extremely caring? Adding on top of that were his good looks, sexy attitude, and such an irresistible smile.
“Hi, Olivia,” she said when she answered my call.
“Hello, Erica! How are you?”
“Don’t even ask that,” she warns, and I smile as she explains, “With two kids in the house, I can never be fine. The attitude that they throw at you is ridiculous.”
“I hope everything is fine with you,” Erica adds on.
“Yes, dear. I just wanted to check up on you, but you seem occupied,” I mention as I can hear the kids calling out for her in the call.
“Yes, I’m a little busy for now. How about I call you a little while later?”
“It is perfectly fine with me. Take care,” I say as I hang up the call.
This is one thing that I am undeniably missing out on in life as of now. Charles is always too busy to even think of having a kid. His businesses, traveling, and everything at work is too messy currently. I have always wanted to have kids and give them proper love and care in a family that I have not been able to get in this life, but maybe God has different plans for me. Maybe the time has still not come for it to happen, but I know one day Charles and I will have a sweet little child.
