A hulking man with goat horns was patting down his body while glaring at those around him, as if trying to determine who stole his invitation letter.
The female receptionist was put on the spot. “Esteemed guest, we need your invitation letter to register you.”
“You sent the invitation letter over. Surely you must have a record of it? You would know whether I have the invitation letter or not if you just look it up,” the hulking man said with a harrumph.
“My apologies. Our invitation letters are unnamed,” the female receptionist explained.
“The Universal Conglomerate’s staff members who drove me here can testify for me. So can your staff members who escorted me from the spaceport to the space elevator,” the hulking man said in displeasure.
“My apologies, but our staff members won’t vet your invitation letters. You have to register with your invitation letter here,” the female receptionist gave a formal response.
“Apologies, apologies! All you can do is apologize. How do you intend to resolve this matter?” The hulking man lost his patience. “I still had the invitation letter with me when I alighted from the spaceship, but it suddenly disappeared when I passed through your spaceport and space elevator. I suspect your staff members stole my invitation letter!”
The female receptionist’s expression turned cold. “Please do not malign our staff members. They would never steal our guests' possessions. We only recognize our guests by their invitation letters and not by their faces. If you do not have an invitation letter, I’ll have my colleague send you back to the spaceport. In the meantime, please wait by the side so that you don’t hinder the guests behind you from registering.”
The hulking man was enraged. “Do you know who I am? How dare you speak to me like that!”
Four Dreamland guards walked over. “Guest, please calm down!”
The guards tried to move the hulking man aside, but the latter unleashed a terrifying aura and shook them off. “Scram! Who do you think you are, to dare lay your hands on me?!”
Zu An was astounded. The four guards were extremely powerful—personnel dispatched by Dreamland to maintain order here were bound to be anything but weak. Yet the four of them combined were still no match for the hulking man. The aura he'd unleashed was even stronger than Fire Knight’s.
The other guests watched the conflict with interest. This was a chance to gauge how strong Dreamland was.
The hulking man proudly declared, “I am the master of nine stellar systems. How dare you lackeys attempt to manhandle me? I’ll spare you out of respect for Dreamland. Hurry up and register me!”
He cast a sweeping gaze at the surrounding crowd and continued, “Pray that I don’t find out who stole my invitation letter, or else I’m going to rip that person to shreds!”
Some guests were intimidated by his threat, but others remained calm, and yet others responded with disdain.
It was then that a lazy voice echoed, “What happened here?”
The crowd parted to allow a tall, beautiful figure to enter. There were two things about her that immediately caught people’s attention.
One was her impeccable thighs—they were long, but they perfectly filled out her tight jeans. The other was her tight shirt that resembled that of an office lady, though it looked more casual.
Dreamland should give fitting uniforms to their employees. Her clothes are too small for her! Look at those buttons! They're on the verge of popping out. Ugh, it’s hard not to imagine just how huge she must be. It’s both annoying and amazing how the shirt doesn’t give us a peek of what’s beneath.
Her sexy yet conservative clothes made it hard to get a grasp of her personality. She had a beautiful face, too, but it was nowhere as eye-catching as her incredible figure and tight clothes.
She had a lollipop in her mouth, and she exuded an air of laziness, discipline, seductiveness, and innocence... It was hard to imagine how all these traits could appear in a person simultaneously.
Firework nudged Tingxue. “Big sister Xue, I knew there were no good men in the world. Look at how they're gaping at that woman.”
Tingxue maintained a look of impassiveness, not replying to that remark.
Zu An’s face heated up, knowing Firework was talking about him. “I’m trying to assess how strong she is.”
“So what’s your verdict? E or G?” Firework rolled her eyes.
Zu An was speechless.
“Captain Yani, someone is causing trouble here.” The female receptionist quickly filled the woman in about the chain of events.
The hulking man was enraged. “Don’t talk nonsense, lass! Who’s causing trouble? You’re the ones intentionally making things difficult for me.”
“I am the guard captain, Yani. Guest, you may direct your problems to me.” Yani stepped in front of the female receptionist to protect her.
The hulking man looked at Yani’s voluptuous figure and coughed softly. “Fine, I’ll drop this matter on Captain Yani’s account. Hurry up and register me. I want to rest now. Captain Yani, may I have the honor of sharing dinner with you?”
Yani waved her hand. “Guest, please register with your invitation letter first. I’ll consider whether to share dinner with you afterward.”
The hulking man’s expression darkened. “Are you toying with me now? You already know that someone has stolen my invitation letter.”
Yani’s expression turned cold. “If you don’t have an invitation letter, you aren’t a guest of Dreamland. Are you going to leave by yourself, or do I have to send someone to escort you out?”
“You bitch!” No one dared to challenge the hulking man in the stellar systems he ruled over. He had never suffered such grievances before. Unable to take it, he swiped his hand at Yani.
Since they refuse to listen to logic, you shouldn’t blame me for resorting to violence! I bet this voluptuous lass will be fun to play with.
None of the guests tried to play the hero. They wanted to see how strong the guard captain was, so that they could gauge Dreamland’s strength.
Yani responded by hurling out a simple fist.
The hulking man narrowed his eyes in astonishment. He realized he had made a grievous mistake, but it was too late for regret. Yani’s fist collided with his, causing his fist to burst into a bloody mist.
But the attack didn’t stop there. Yani’s fist continued advancing toward his head and popped it like a watermelon.
The powerful shockwave from her fist smashed a hole through the clouds and the atmosphere, revealing vast space and the worlds beyond. It took a while before the worlds faded from sight, and the clouds converged to cover the hole.
The noisy hotel lobby plunged into silence.
