Chapter 23 (Becky's POV)
Fuck, fuck, fuck!
I knew Margaret's interest in my personal life all of a sudden was weird, but I never expected such a huge portion of shit to hit the fan!
I was still trying to get my head around the fact that she was Aron's mother.
And knowing him as I know him now, I was afraid to think what it meant for us and our fresh relationship.
And how could I even blame him? Knowing his story from the start, especially the beginning that concerns the woman that was standing in front of me right this second, while the man I cared about stormed outside.
He probably thought I betrayed him and did all this on purpose.
Sisters were still throwing daggers at each other while I was speechless.
I could see that Ana knew nothing about the woman standing in front of us.
Which confirmed the story Aron told me a few days ago.
She never cared enough to even show her face in this town. Until the day I told her about my new boss and his name.
I shook myself out of my trance and decided to end this painful silence.
I took a slow step forward so I was now standing in front of Margareth.
"I knew you were a heartless bitch, but all this time I thought it was the world of fashion that made you the way you are today, but no. You were like this even before you put a foot inside my world. But right now, there are no words that could describe how grateful I am that I don't have to work with you, not even a minute of my precious time. And believe me when I tell you, I will ruin you. I will hit where it hurts the most, which in your case is money."
She was staring at me with her mouth gaping and trying to come up with something to say but all she managed was to keep opening and closing her mouth.
I was ready to walk away and see if Aron was still standing in the driveway, hoping he was waiting for me.
But suddenly I remembered something.
"Oh, I almost forgot what I promised to my boyfriend."
"What…?"
Her words were cut off by a loud slap that hit her across her face.
I could hear Lizz gasp behind me and Ana laughing, but I was done.
But my priority was to find Aron and tell him I had no idea who she was, to make things right.
I was putting my shoes on in a hurry when suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around me.
When I turned around Ana stood there with a shit-eating grin on her face, but when I went to ask her what that was all about, she beat me to it.
"You and I, Becky are going to be really good friends. For the first time since I decided to quit studying I am happy about my decision and looking forward to something, that being hanging around with you."
She wrapped me in another one of her bear hugs and whispered in my ears.
"You have no idea how much it means to me what you did for Aron there. He might not be my brother by blood but I always saw him as my brother. And knowing he is not alone right now with the pain of today's day, I can't describe how grateful I really am to you really."
A soft smile crossed my face and I returned her embrace.
"No worries Ana. Someone had to put her in her place. And I would love to be friends with you like I've told you at dinner already. You have my number so just give me a call once you move bsc completely and I and Rach can meet you for some drinks."
We said our goodbye and I practically ran out of the house only to bump into something hard. Well, actually it was someone.
Thank God he was strong and ready to catch me or I'd have a bruised ss right now.
But I had no time to think about anything, I had to make sure he knew the truth.
"Aron, I had no idea who she was, I swear or I would never ever stay in contact with her, or even less bring her here. I know what she did to you, and there is no way in hell I would do anything like this to you. Please you have to believe me…"
Suddenly my rambling was cut off by a pair of soft lips.
The kiss got heated in seconds and his hands were wandering all over my body, where they could reach.
If you ask me, I'd say he was trying to put all his frustration into this kiss.
And honestly, I had no objections.
I gave as hard as he did.
The kiss continued until we were both breathless.
We pulled apart both gasping for air, and his hand was still resting on my ass, patting it softly a few seconds passed before he spoke his first words since I came out of the house and almost ran him over.
"I believe you. Now move your sexy ass in my car. We are going somewhere."
I was speechless and couldn't even find my voice if my life depended on it.
So I did the only thing any sane person would do in such a situation.
I quickly kissed him one more time and climbed into his car, because I had a feeling he had more of those kisses in store for me, and who would ever say no to something like this?
He threw a devilish smirk paired with a wink my way and climbed behind the wheel.
And off we go.
Destination : unknown.
Anticipation: sky high.
Adventure, and steamy moments, here we come.
Well, fingers crossed that my theory turns out to be what I wanted it to be.
