Chapter 22 (Mason's POV)
One week later
So here we are.
One week later and I must admit this new arrangement between Rachel and me was the best thing we ever did.
Well at least for me.
But Rachel wasn't complaining either so I'd say she had no problem as well.
We were just coworkers at work, hated each other through the day and spent every night together tangled in the sheets.
And let me reveal a secret to you.
Sex was amazing.
It just got better and better, which I doubted was possible every night but the next day proved me wrong.
And I had another secret.
Rachel was kind of a nympho.
She attacked me the minute we came home, after we made dinner together and many days ended up going at it once more before we ate dinner. And ofcourse the last one was before we went to sleep. Sometimes even once in the living room where we pretended to be interested in the movie that was playing and then in one of the rooms.
Sometimes it was mine, other times it was hers.
But like I said. I wasn't complaining because right now, life was good.
It was just another morning.
I woke up next to a warm body and a hard on that was starting to get my permanent companion these days.
I hugged her closer to me and buried my nose in her hair.
She always smelled like vanilla and strawberries.
I found out a few days ago that it was her lotion.
She stirred in my arms.
"Good morning, beautiful." I murmured in her ear before kissing her neck.
A shiver ran down her spine and I could feel her goosebumps.
"Morning handsome. Is it time to get up already?"
I smiled at her sexy morning voice.
I can't really describe it, but her morning voice did something to my hormones.
"Sadly yes. It's almost 7 already so we have an hour max before we need to be out of the house."
She groaned in displeasure and I could relate really. It felt like we just went to bed.
"But it feels like I just fell asleep."
"Well you did keep us awake the better part of the night."
The last comment earned me a hit in the stomach with her elbow.
I chuckled anyway because even if she was acting angry she knew I was right.
But we really had to get ready, so I pinched her but and told her to get ready while I made us coffee.
I put on some boxers and that's it.
Once in the kitchen I started brewing our coffee.
A few days ago I found out Rachel's coffee preferences were the same as mine.
Which was a surprise because not many people loved sweet coffee with a lot of milk.
I was just about to pour some milk into the coffee when I heard footsteps behind me.
I turned around and was left with my mouth wide open.
Rachel was standing there in sexy red lingerie and two dresses on the hangers in each hand one.
"Which one looks better? The black one, or the red one?"
I was still standing there and all I could think about was how beautiful she was.
A weird sense of possessiveness washed over me but I pushed it down.
There was no place for possessiveness in our arrangement.
I shook myself out of my thoughts and focused on the task at hand.
The red one looked better on her, but it revealed a bit too much of her skin, so I didn't like it.
"The black one."
She looked at the dresses one more time than gave a short nod and turned back to her bedroom.
And what I saw was not good for my hardon.
She was wearing a thong.
And all that my brain could process and scream at me was one word.
"MINE!"
Shit just got real.
And honestly, I have no idea how to climb out of it unharmed.
Because as I tried to focus on the part that hated Rachel, I realized it was non existent.
Fuck my life!

We just arrived at Code hack and were chatting away like every morning in the past week.
But suddenly our chatting was cut short when Aron came into the elevator.
"Morning guys. How was your weekend Rachel? Anything fun?"
I had no problem with their conversation, but I did have a problem with Aron touching what's mine.
Wait what?
She was not mine.
But I couldn't lie to myself anymore.
I was a jealous possessive prick when I saw them so close together, laughing so casually.
I wanted to say something but I knew I had no right.
So I just stood there, shooting daggers at Aron and once the elevator stopped on my floor I practically ran out of it.
A few minutes later my phone vibrated in my pocket.
Once I took it out and looked at the screen I saw it was a text from Rachel.
Rach: Is everything ok?
I took a moment to get myself under control. First we said no emotions and second I was overreacting.
Mason: Sure hun. Everything is ok. I just remembered something about the new product, so that's why I ran out of the elevator.
It wasn't a complete lie at least.
Rach: Ok. Can't wait for this day to be over. I have a surprise for you tonight.
God help me not to fall in love with this girl.
Because the more time we spent together, the more obvious it was that I could easily fall in love.
Also I couldn't imagine life without her in it.
Yeah yeah I know.
I was fucked.
And now all I could think about was her surprise for tonight.
So I typed out a reply fast.
Mason: What kind of surprise?
Those three little dots appeared right away, but disappeared a second later and appeared again.
It went like that for at least five minutes.
I was ready to put my phone away when she finally answered.
Rach: Well you saw the lingerie in the morning, eo I ruined half the surprise. But the other half is waiting in the refrigerator.
I was confused.
I didn't open the refrigerator this morning so I couldn't even imagine what she meant.
Another text came through and once I opened the content I cursed Mondays and every other work day.
It was a picture.
A picture of strawberries and whipped cream.
And guess what?
My imagination went into overdrive.
It's going to be a long, hard day.
