Right now, Asher wanted to diagnose my health, but Oswald and Wyatt kept watching us intently as if they didn't have anything to do, which seemed to be infuriating Playboy. Ahem, I mean Doctor Asher.

Asher suddenly banged on the table hard, which made me jump in shock. He pointed at Wyatt and me and narrowed his eyes at us with a mischievous grin on his face, saying, "Hey. Why are you two sneaking a look at each other? She's mine now." He boasted with a flirty smirk.
"Touch my mate, and I will break your head." Alpha Oswald growled domineeringly while giving Asher a cold glare. I secretly snorted at him for his threatening act. 'Jerk.'

Before Maia could continue gushing about her mate, I silently blocked her and sighed in relief after doing so. What domineering? Simply a jerk!

I arched my brows and gave him a bored gaze. "Did I?" I retorted lazily, and he nodded. I shrugged. "Perhaps Beta Wyatt had grown on…"
"Praise another man, and I won't hesitate to break your legs and kick you out." Oswald suddenly growled at me, and it made me furious.
What is his problem? He doesn't acknowledge me, yet he keeps poking his nose into everything. Does he think he can control me? "You only know how to threaten me every time, and all he does is support me. I hate you." I bemoaned at him and bolted into the room.
The diagnosis is termed to be a failure anyway since that asshole is here.

I rubbed my chest and fell on the bed, not comprehending what madness was going on within me. "Ugh. What's wrong with me?"
I kicked my leg in the bed angrily, not understanding the stupid bellowing I did. It's not worth it. The situation doesn't call for my anger. Not at all.

Oswald's lips began to trail soft kisses on my face, sending tingles through me and making me let out a soft whimper.
"Maia, you belong to me." Oswald declared authoritatively and pinned my arms to the bed.
His fingers began to trail my face while our eyes were locked. "Mine." He declared and lowered his lips again, but before he could touch me, I moved my face away.
"Break up with Lorelei, and I will believe that," I whispered coldly while staring at him with my lips curled up in mockery. "You can't anyway." I taunted him and pushed him away from me.
Oswald ruffled his hair. His lips parted as if to say something, but in the end, his lips closed, and he took a step back.
Oswald gave me a stare filled with complexity before he walked out of my room with reluctance.
I bit my lower lips and ruffled my hair before kicking the bed angrily.
