I Created Scientific Magic Chapter 768

Chapter 768: Chapter 645: Even if This Pie Is Poisoned, We Must Force Ourselves to Eat It! The negotiation with Mony and the others lasted a whole half a month before it finally concluded. With the full cooperation of the speakers, they precisely grasped the desperation of the geometrical civilization to obtain Magic Power and reached an agreement to exchange a thousand tons of Element 7 for ten kilograms of Magic Power in the initial phase. That’s right… just ten kilograms of Magic Power! Although Magic Power is a type of energy, it also has mass, albeit incredibly light mass that is only observable during a state transformation. Because energy is basically just a quantity of matter, a more microscopic form of matter, which is why mass and energy can be converted into each other, they essentially are no different. For instance, one kilogram of electricity, using the mass-energy equation, can be easily calculated to be about twenty-five billion degrees, which can allow an interstellar spaceship to travel for about an hour. After the negotiation was firmly settled, Mony even doubted whether he was dreaming, as the interstellar governor actually agreed to the request to exchange Element 7 for Magic Power. Despite the negotiation process being extremely tough, the final result exceeded the bottom line by a hundredfold, but Mony was still immensely satisfied. This meant that he didn’t need to risk being eliminated while smuggling Magic Power, not to mention that it could even trigger a war between the two civilizations. Having obtained Lynn’s permission, Mony couldn’t wait to send the good news back to his homeworld. The leaders of the Disc were utterly hopeless about the success of the trade, and were currently discussing how to smuggle out the Magic Power during the next repayment delivery, only to suddenly find out that the other party had actually agreed to exchange Element 7 for Magic Power, which left them so shocked they were at a loss for words. Mony hastily took credit, claiming it was his exceedingly skillful negotiation tactics that convinced the interstellar governor to agree. However, this also represents a sad reality. The Magic Empire placed great importance on Magic Power, this special source of energy, but not as much as they had thought, keeping it as generally confidential, not top-secret, strategic material; otherwise, a decision of this magnitude could not have possibly been made by an interstellar governor alone. Moreover, the Magic Empire was very interested in Element 7. Considering the other party’s control over the ability to manipulate the flow of time, Mony even suspected that their research into Element 7 had reached very deep levels, possibly even surpassing the geometrical civilization! Such a huge gap made the leaders of the Disc feel desperate. At the same time, some of the geometric aliens questioned the decision, stating that even if Magic Power wasn’t classified as top-secret energy for the Magic Empire, it was still odd to trade it so readily. Because once they could master and utilize such energy, the geometrical civilization would inevitably experience a technological explosion within just a few decades. From their encounters and understanding, even though the Magic Empire claimed to be a ‘high moral’ civilization, they didn’t seem to be the type of truly selfless civilization willing to help more primitive civilizations or even share some basic technologies. “Perhaps it’s because of Element 7!” one of the leaders, shaped like an ellipse, speculated. “Don’t you find it odd? Why would the Magic Empire suddenly appear in that star domain, so close to the geometrical civilization? According to the intelligence we’ve gathered, the planets in that star domain haven’t been developed at all…” So, he suspected that the Magic Empire had only recently arrived at that star system, and it was highly likely that their detectors had reached there and discovered an exploratory fleet that had crashed in the star system. Inside, they found remnants of the seventh element, and after some research, they became very interested in this new element. Therefore, they sent out a signal to lure them into receiving it, intending to obtain it through war. However, in that minor war, they defeated the opponent’s high-dimensional war weapons with their cutting-edge technology based on the seventh element—artificial black holes—which made the Magic Empire cautious. Moreover, their nearly humble attitude completely deprived the other party of any excuse to wage war, leading to the agreement to the transaction request. This leader’s wildly imaginative speculation quickly gained affirmation from many of his peers, but there were not a few opposing geometers, as the speculation was riddled with holes. If the Magic Empire didn’t care much about the incredible energy source known as magic power, then why would they be so interested in the seventh element? Could it be that the potential of the seventh element is more terrifying than that of magic power? And if they wanted to obtain the seventh element, they could have simply offered other technologies in exchange. This had been their initial assumption about the Magic Empire’s strategy in the transaction. There were simply too many unexplainable aspects. “We can’t measure the thought processes of an energy lifeform with the thinking of geometric civilization…” The oval-shaped leader insisted that his speculation had to be correct—their opponent’s thought process might just work like that! Colorful electromagnetic waves flashed continuously in the council chamber, but the supreme leader wasn’t swayed by these disputes and maintained the original decision to complete the transaction. “Notify the interstellar governor that we are ready to send the remaining three hundred tons of compensation and the one thousand tons of the seventh element for the transaction directly through the wormhole!” the supreme leader declared decisively. Since the transaction was set, there was no possibility of backing out. Otherwise, they would most likely anger the other party. Moreover, magic power likely concerned the advancement of a cosmic-level civilization; even if it was a poisoned pie, they would have to force themselves to eat it! Elsewhere, in the temporary residence, Harrov and others were anxiously awaiting a reply from the geometric civilization. Although they had agreed on a deal with Mony, the final decision was still in the hands of the decision-makers of the geometric civilization. “What’s the situation now? Do those geometers suspect anything?” Vittorio looked toward Lynn, feeling that by now the discussion should be nearly over. “Yes!” Lynn nodded, then smiled and said, “It’s just that they probably still can’t understand why we would agree to the transaction request.” Ever since his first meeting with the geometric civilization, Lynn had been creating the false impression that the Magic Empire was extremely powerful, and he had reinforced this perception numerous times. By now, the other side should have no doubts about it. After all, they had used genuine bait and displayed real technology, which was enough to keep the other side fooled. “If this goes smoothly, there’s no need to continue expanding the star ranch for the time being. The geometric civilization should be able to help us accomplish this. As for what comes next in the manufacturing of godhood…” Lynn was speaking when his smile suddenly paused, and his expression became much more grave. He had received a message from Eternal Star—there was a problem with the black hole they had been monitoring!
